Florida is the land of novelty, and Coral Castle at 28655 South Dixie Highway is the perfect example of this.

An entire garden of coral stone sculptures was created by Edward Leedskalnin.

He was engaged to a woman named Agnes, who canceled their wedding the day before the ceremony.

This made Ed start the project around 1923 and worked on it until he died in 1951.

Ed refused to let anyone see him while he was working, leading to a lot of wild stories on how, exactly, the sculptures were created.

Some people even claim that they were made using supernatural forces.

For his part, the artist only said that he used the “secrets of the pyramids” to create his masterpieces.

Until the present day, no one quite knows how a small man just over five feet tall managed to cut into so many coral rocks, some of which were 4,000-foot thick, with no noticeable tools.
