This is precisely the concept behind Flint RiverQuarium, which opened in 2004.

The vast aquarium houses a wide range of marine life and other species.

It is a beautifully blended ecosystem based on both freshwater and saltwater reefs.

Start your visit by visiting the Flint River Gallery, where both freshwater and saltwater fishes can be seen.

Chehak Park & Zoo is a vast wildlife park in Albany that was established in 1937.

It was designed by the famous naturalist Jim Fowler.

It is another example of a park that is housed in natural habitats such as cypress swamps.

Most of the exhibits here are endangered species or those endemic to Albany, such as the rhinoceros, cheetahs, alligators, black and white colobus monkeys, bears, zebras, bison, bobcats, Bactrian camels, and lemurs.

It also exhibits a variety of birds, including Ibis, flamingos, eagles, and ostriches.

The Thronateeska Heritage Center includes a history museum, science museum, and planetarium.

The word “Thronateeska” is derived from the Native American language and means “a village near the Flint River.”
