Back in the day, Jensen Beach was the largest pineapple producer in the whole world, earning it the title Pineapple Capital of the World in 1895.
But due to fires, hard freezes, and other agricultural problems, the farms collapsed, and the town lost its title.
This rich heritage is still celebrated during the weekend-long Pineapple Festival held every November.

However, there are still sea turtle watching tours held from March to November.
