Route 66 Park was opened in 2013 and is a public park in Joplin, Missouri. It serves as an essential place to preserve Missouri's historic Route 66. The park serves as the touchstone for the travellers beginning their journey to explore the scenic route. Inside, there are two huge, beautifully decorated murals by the artists Chris Auckerman and Jon White. The park also has a red mock 1964 Corvette symbolising the drive along the long roads of Route 66 that is used by the majority of the visitors as a great photo op. Established in 1943 in the nearby Newton County, George Washington Carver National Monument is a park near the 210-acre farm where George Washington Carver was born and raised. George Washington Carver was the world-famous scientist, inventor, chemist, botanist, agronomist, and educator. It was the first-ever national monument dedicated to an African-American person as well as any non-president person. The park contains the sculptures of the renowned Carver. This monument also has a museum, nature trails, and a discovery lab. The museum showcases the life and the stories about George Washington Carver through various exhibits and displays. You can hike in the nature trails while learning about Carver and his life on the way. The park is lovely and offers a tranquil environment. The Fascinating Joplin Museum Complex

Joplin Museum Complex is a collection of five museums. The five museums consist of sports, science, dolls, cookies, and history. It located in Schifferdecker Park and mainly focuses on the mining boom of the city in the 19th century. Along with mining artefacts, the museums have a range of exciting and unusual objects such as jewellery by the infamous Bonnie and Clyde, mammoth fossils, glowing rocks, and much more. The Lovely Cunningham Park

Cunningham Park was the oldest city park in Joplin, but, unfortunately, it was destroyed in the 2011 tornado.
