The Natural Bridge Caverns are a must-see when visiting San Antonio.
The name for this natural wonder was chosen based on the sixty-foot limestone slab bridge stretched across the front of the cavern.
The caverns, discovered on March 27, 1960, are home to some of the world’s most enormous stalactites and stalagmites.
They were formed over millions of years by rainwater seeping through cracks in the limestone and depositing minerals on the rock surface.
