Cary in North Carolina is the second largest municipality in the Wake County. Though a huge tourist attraction today with the huge population, Cary remains officially a town. The center of this part is the location of the Bond Lake where there's a public boathouse that houses many different kinds of boats. This huge park is spread over 310 acres. Therefore, it's arguably the largest municipal park in Cary. The Bond Lake is also great for some fishing, along with the boating, as mentioned above. There is also a community center and the senior center located inside the park. The park is great for hikers and joggers. Look at a mill at the Historic Yates Mill County Park

The major attraction of this county park is the centerpiece which is the Yates Mill, which is a restored mill. Milling was a very important profession during the early 1800s. And this historic mill has been restored to its former glory to honor this important occupation. The museum on site honors, this traditional art and gives information about the history of this profession. There is also a Lake located along with hiking trails in the park itself. It is a wildlife refuge too and is used to protect a lot of bird, and animal species. Thus this park is used for recreational and preservation purposes both.

Get close to nature at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve

Another tribute to the natural vegetation, which is so abundant around Cary is the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. This woodland is very thick and overflows with a variety of trees and greenery. It's great for a quiet walk and to spend some time with oneself. The scenic beauty around will arouse some very calming feelings inside you and help you rediscover yourself away from the hectic chaos of city life.
Stevens Nature Center is also located on site where you can get a lot of information about the history of the area, along with the wildlife, that is preserved in this Preserve.

Watch a film at the Koka Booth Amphitheater

The Koka booth amphitheater is a haven for nature lovers and movie lovers alike. Movies both old and new are showcased here under the movies by moonlight program. So pack some sandwiches, and some Cola, and spend some quality time with your family by watching a movie under the pretty moonlight.

Rock bands and various musical performances are also showcased at this amphitheater. Some of the famous musician’s works that are played here include Beethoven and John Williams soundtracks. Rock stars like Styx, Ringo Starr, and Willie Nelson, have also performed at this beautiful venue located among natural beauty and greenery.

Wine testing at Chatham Hell Winery

Find a variety of delectable wines at this famous winery, including Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Viognier. One of the first opened wineries in the Research Triangle, this winery doesn't fade to astound you with its astonishing range of wines.

The set-up is also very lavishly done, and includes an outdoor setting, or an area where you can play tabletop board games. The tasting sessions are quite informative and the experts will give you, tiny bits of information about the wines as you taste them. The best part is the wine is produced from locally grown grapes sourced from North Carolina itself. But the brewing methods are typically French to maintain the authentic taste.

Kayaking at Apex Community Park

The lake Pine located inside this community park is great for kayaking and boating. The small fishing pier is also located inside, where you can fish for some local species. The jogging trails are well laid out, and you will also meet many doggies, while you take a walk. Walk around with your furry friends since most owners are warm and friendly.

The hardened soccer pitches are great if you have a sporty personality, and you can even join in for a game or two. There are also a variety of other sports that you can play, including baseball and tennis courts. The park is family friendly with many types of swings and slides located in the kids play area. Pray at the Sri Venkateshwara temple

Today the temple has become a symbol of South Asia and harbors a sense of peace and belonging among all the different minorities in Raleigh. They also produce a monthly magazine. The deities housed inside the temple include that of Lord Balaji and Lord Shiva. It is especially revered by the South Indian community.

Attend an adapted sports competition at Lake Crabtree County Park

This beautiful event conducted over a period of three days, honors the undying spirit in all of us. It's a sports competition for veterans of the armed forces with disabilities. The park has been especially constructed to make it easily accessible for those with disabilities along with a wheelchair accessible dock as well. The Triangle Tango regatta is also held here, which is a co Ed fleet racing event.

Community sailing is thus a very popular feature activity at this lake. Then there are the usual biking and hiking trails located near the lake as well. The park is located near the Raleigh Durham International Airport. It also features two different types of playgrounds suited according to different age groups, along with a boat dock and observation tower, and basic amenities like bathrooms.

The theater has a 393 seating capacity and hosts various ballet performances along with other theatrical performances. There are also various studios where textile, woodworking and pottery workshops are conducted. So you can even attend one of these to gain a fine insight into the beautiful art of pottery making or jewelry making. The entire center spreads over an area of 48,000 square feet. The center hence, celebrates the creative spirit of all the various art communities that live in Cary.

Golfing at Lochmere Golf Club

The Lochmere Golf Club is a semi private Golf Club where you can enjoy some quaint golfing. In total there are five golf courses in Cary, but the rest are private owned. Lochmere has an 18 hole golf course spread over a beautifully curated lawn. Set in Woodlands which are near to the swift Creek, this topographical feature helps create many challenging situations along its entire course. The grill restaurant serves very delectable food, and delicious delicacies. There is also a pro shop where you can shop different golfing gears.

At the Cary theatre built in 1946 you can watch a variety of genres as per your interests. The Cary theatre was Cary's earliest indoor cinema. It later fell into disuse. It was then passed on to various other businesses, like clothing or carpets. But it was recently restored to its former beauty and glory, since communities in Cary believe in protecting the beautiful, different cultural Heritage that are a specialty of the city of Cary. It now hosts various different movies, including indie films and foreign films. Sometimes live music shows are also conducted at this beautiful venue.

The women's national team, the National Collegiate roster and various others are some of the famous people who are trained here.

You can also watch a live baseball game here since it keeps conducting a variety of different games throughout the year, including National Baseball tournaments and selection tests.
