One of my favorite spots in the area is Zabb Thai Cuisine.
I finally visited Zabb a while ago, and it did not disappoint.
The service is great, and the food is even better.
My friends and I ordered the tempura shrimps, wontons, and egg rolls as appetizers – all were a hit, but the shrimps were my personal favorite.
For entrees, we easily split the Green Curry and Drunken Noodles.
The portion sizes are generous, more than enough for two people with some leftovers to take home.
And don't even get me started on the cocktails – the Bird of Paradise was fantastic!
Zabb Thai has become my go-to place for lunch or early/late dinner.
Another time I visited, I tried Pad Thai.
It was spot on and made our experience 10 times better.
Served very hot and spicy, I would definitely return to this great Thai restaurant again and again.
The atmosphere at Zabb is also noteworthy.
I like to go on Sundays for the champagne lunch special, even though I don't drink.
They always accommodate me with another drink of my choice.
The decor inside and out is photo-worthy, and there's even a lit fireplace, which makes the place feel relaxing and romantic.
The Dock
I live close to The Dock, and I must say, it has become one of my favorite spots to dine in Newport.
The waterside location of the restaurant is amazing, and it offers a relaxed, modern vibe with fantastic views.

One thing that always impresses me about The Dock is their incredible food selection.
I've tried the Japanese Hamachi Sashimi, Crispy Kurobuta Pork Belly, and Maple Leaf Farm Duck Breast – all of which were absolutely delicious.
The freshness of the ingredients, combined with their unique flavors, makes for an unforgettable dining experience.
I also love the Charred Little Gem salad, which is a nice precursor to the main dish.
It's perfectly executed, and I would love to come back just for an espresso and one of those.

I keep coming back to TK Burgers because of their overall great food and vibe.

Saigon Beach Newport Beach
I had heard a lot about Saigon Beach Newport Beach, so I decided to give it a try.
When I entered the restaurant, I noticed the limited seating options, with less than 10 seats available.
The industrial decor and blackboard menu listing pho, bao buns, and banh mi baguettes caught my eye.
I ordered the Grilled Pork Spring rolls and the Pork Belly Crazy Rich 'Bao' Steamed Bun Slider.
The spring rolls were delicious, and the rest was nothing short of fantastic.
Basilic
Just the other night, I decided to treat myself to a lovely dinner at Basilic, a charming French-Swiss eatery tucked away on Balboa Island.
I've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints.
I started my meal with their special balsamic salad, which was a delightful mix of radicchio, endive, arugula, blue cheese, pear, caramelized walnut, and fresh pomegranate.
Then, I couldn't resist ordering my favorite dish, the classic chicken with wine sauce.
I'm always amazed at how they can make it dairy-free for me, which is quite a feat for a French restaurant.

A Restaurant
One of my go-to places for a special occasion or celebrating with family and friends is A Restaurant in the heart of the city.
This circa-1926 spot has been transformed into a handsome New American eatery complete with leather booths and an adjacent market.
I find the interior to be very classy, though the atmosphere can get a bit loud at times – definitely not an introvert's dream.
Parking is pretty easy, as you can either pay for a spot right in front of the restaurant or find free parking up one of the nearby hilly streets.
I must say that the food here is really good.
The mac and cheese is simply divine, and we often order all the different steaks and share them among our group.
The desserts, like cheesecake and cornbread Madeline’s, are mouthwatering and the perfect way to end a savory meal.
Great Mex Grill
I've been going to Great Mex Grill since I was a kid, and let me tell you, their food is just as delicious as ever!
They serve simple yet amazing Mexican fare, including breakfast, light dishes, and weekly menu specials.
One of my all-time favorites is their shrimp tacos – they're honestly the best I've ever had, except maybe for some places south of the border.
The fish tacos and black bean tacos are also incredible, especially with their hot sauce that complements the flavors so well.
Whenever I spend a day at the beach, I just can't resist walking across the sand to Great Mex Grill for some mouthwatering tacos.
Their service is also fantastic – always fast and super friendly.
I love their variety of salsas too, ranging from mild to hot, so there's something for everyone.

Mastro's Ocean Club
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mastro's Ocean Club in Newport Beach, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience.
From the moment I walked in, the sophisticated atmosphere and old-school charm made me feel right at home.
The seafood platter appetizer was a delightful way to start off the meal, with huge shrimp, decent size crab legs, and succulent lobster.

JOEY Newport Beach has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience.
The contemporary atmosphere combined with their broad menu of international and regional dishes always leaves me satisfied and eager to return.
Booking a reservation is highly recommended since the place tends to get packed, but the wait is absolutely worth it.
From their perfectly cooked ribeye steak to the drool-worthy shrimp ravioli, I've never been disappointed with any of the dishes I've tried here.
The seared salmon is indeed different but absolutely delicious, and their gyoza and crab cakes are some of the best I've had.
What really sets JOEY Newport Beach apart, though, is the excellent customer service.
I've been there with large groups, and they always manage to accommodate us and ensure we have a great time.
Eat Chow
I have dined at Eat Chow quite a few times, and it never fails to impress me with its delicious and eclectic New American menu.
The sleek cafe atmosphere is perfect for brunch with friends or a romantic dinner, offering both wine and craft beer to complement the meals.
