Sue-meg State Park, previously the Patrick’s Point State Park, was renamed to honor the original people of the area – the Yurok.
“Sue-meg” was what they called the area.
This is a 640-ac park that contains the Agate Beach, adorned by sea stacks, has lush forests.
You can follow the hiking trail, where you’ll be surrounded by various plants, like spruce trees and red alder.

The Humboldt Lagoons State Park is part of the largest lagoon system in the USA.
