Visit the Loveland Museum

In 1937, a local author, curator and mountain guide, Harold Dunning founded the Loveland Museum.

It is an accredited art and history museum which makes it one of the only three in the Northern Colorado region.

It has a brilliant collection of historical artifacts and exhibits, a collection that was started by Dunning in 1919.

The museum has not only limited itself to this. It holds various art events which are extremely interesting and engaging in nature.

It is situated on the northern side of Loveland and is a local favorite. Being a family-oriented park, this is best suited for a day-long picnic.

You can go fishing and play water sports. The area also has 148 campsites and a reservoir of 1700 acres. It has a swim beach where you can relax on a real sand beach.

There are several facilities provided to the visitors such as food/beverage services, laundry facilities, handicapped parking, restrooms and showers.

This trail is one of the most iconic ones and is suited for all sorts of hikers irrespective of their expertise level and is 6.9 kilometers in length.

Although it starts with a steep uphill, most of the trail is light and one can take it with small children and pets on leash.

Although drinking water is available along the main trail, it is advised that one carry their own water in reusable containers.

These areas are reservable only during the weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

It is also suited for children as it contains a lawn with a climbing wall (only for children), water fountains,  and a waterfall.

There are 244 parking spaces and restrooms are easily accessible and near both the reservation spots.

Beer lovers, head to the Grimm Brothers Brewhouse

Can you imagine a vacation without beer? Loveland surely doesn't. Colorado natives, Aaron and Don started the Grimm brewery in 2010 and it stands to be the oldest in the area.

With a team of other natives and expert brewmasters, the Grimm Brothers specialize in German-inspired beers.

The taproom is open on all weeks of the day but the timings vary.
