The Dinosaur Statue was built in downtown Haddonfield in October 2003 to recognize the World’s First Dinosaur Skeleton Discovery in October 1858.

Hadrosaurus foulkii as it was known, was initially the almost complete dinosaur skeleton ever found and the first to be erected for public display.

Cherry Hill Township purchased the Croft Farm property in 1985 to keep the township’s past alive and serve the recreational and educational as well as the cultural needs of the neighborhood.

Constructed in 1779, the farm used to be a working mill, farm, and stop on the Underground Railroad and played a significant role in Southern Jersey for over 200 years.

It was then converted in 1995 into a 200-seat performance spot with concert-fitting acoustics and Art Center.
