Famously known as the Britton-Evans House, the Centennial House, was built around 1849. It is the oldest infrastructure located in Corpus Christi. The building was used as a civil war hospital during the old times. Centennial house is now completely restored and revamped with new fittings and furnishings (mostly antiques and artifacts) and open for public tours and visitors.

The blue ghost USS Lexington is a massive aircraft carrier which was used in the world War II. The carrier was commissioned in the year 1943, and is now a part of a naval museum in Corpus Christi which was named after it.
