College Town is quite passionate about its football team. It is also related to one of the most tragic losses and rituals.
It is a well-known fact that the Aggie Bonfire is something that was done every time there was a match between the football team of the College Station and that of the University of Texas.
From the very beginning, it was an occasion of joy, but one day during the bonfire in 1999- a very tragic incident happened that lead to the bonfire never being constructed again.
12 people had died due to an accident that occurred for the bonfire was not built properly.
It is a very tragic venue today where people go to pay their respects to those poor 12 souls. Also, 12 stone arches stand in that place in memory of those kids who lost their lives.
