One of the highlights was learning about the homemade soaps that Laura crafts.

Wrapped in alpaca fur, these soaps are a revelation.

Being someone with sensitive skin, I can vouch for the fact that they're the best I've ever used.

They're soft yet sufficiently scrubby, offering a clean feel without any scratchiness.

You do need to make a reservation before your visit, but trust me, the experience at London Dairy Alpacas is one you wouldn't want to miss.

The beacon light at the end of the pier was surrounded by a beautiful arrangement of ice structures as if guarding some mystical portal.

I remember when they disassembled the original lighthouse tower years ago, replacing it with the current siren/beacon.

It was a sight to behold.

But if you're interested in the original lighthouse, you can see it at the Roger's Street Fishing Village Museum, a throwback to our town's history.

Just behind the coast guard station at the end of the beach, you'll find the parking lot and access to the north pier of Two Rivers Harbor.

It's a pleasant walk from there, with breathtaking lake views from the pier.
