Among the many activities to enjoy here, paddling at Canoe Pass has its charm.

It's trendy in the kayak community, but for the less experienced, it can be dangerous.

There's also the Pass Lake nearby and some scenic beaches. A short drive takes you to the eerie mountain with beautiful views of Fidalgo Island.

For those food lovers, you cannot miss the Shrimp shack nearby. It's always my go-to place for a quick and delicious lunch.

The beach at Ebey's Landing is a spectacle, especially in the winter.

Where else can you catch the Southwest-facing sunsets that paint the sky with vibrant orange, purple, and red hues?

And despite what you might expect, there's a well-maintained outhouse here.

I can't tell you how often I've strolled along this beach, which stretches down Hill Street and north to the State Park.

Ebey's Landing offers more. It's like walking in the Scottish Highlands but without the long-haul flight.

Just a short ferry ride from Mukilteo, and you're there, surrounded by the breathtaking views of the sound and Olympic mountains.

I wandered through three hangars filled with pure wonder and history during the grand reopening.

The displays of the Corsair, B-25, P-51 Mustang, Spitfire, and the various combat armors, are nothing short of impressive.

They have three opportunities to watch demonstrations of their tanks.

One day, I left my comfort zone and explored something new in my city.

I found myself heading towards Chihuly Garden and Glass, an art museum and sculpture garden showcasing the stunning glass works of Dale Chihuly.
