A quick detour down Thousand Dollar Road, and you're right there. Look for the cluster of cars parked along the roadside; it's a telltale sign that you've arrived.

However, the last few years have been tough on our local gem, with budget cuts taking a toll on its upkeep.

Some trails and areas were closed due to a lack of staff, letting nature take an untamed course, the place became more wild, overgrown, and broken down — an unfortunate sight for such a picturesque location.

The bright side? After three long years, there seems to be a resurgence in the form of a dedicated Park Ranger and a volunteer group, all focused on restoring the park to its former glory.

Surely, like a true explorer, I’ve ventured across Jubilee College State Park, searching for potential hiking spots.

It’s been a challenge to differentiate the trails from the wild, given how overgrown it’s become.

The encouraging news about the volunteer group makes me hopeful for the future of the park, and I can't wait to revisit the trails once they are cleared and more accessible.

Every time I visit, it's a different experience.

The mall is modern and outdoors, which provides a refreshing change from traditional indoor malls.

Even on busy days, the walkways are wide enough to provide plenty of space for everyone.

My son absolutely loves the designated play area.

It's a safe space where he can run around freely while I can sit and watch him play.

Despite an unpleasant encounter with some older kids one time, my son still considers it his favorite indoor spot.

I think it would be helpful if there were a sign indicating the appropriate age for kids to use the slides.

Other than that, the Shoppes at Grand Prairie also display a love for arts, which is quite unique.

One night that stands out was when my friends and I went to see the hilarious Brett Erickson.

It was one of his farewell shows before he was setting off to try his luck in Vegas or California.
