The lazy river, while not the best I’ve been to, still offers a relaxing ride, even though you are required to use the tube.

The two slides also call for tube use, but they sure are fun to whip down!

For the little ones, there is a special play area that keeps them entertained.

The cost is quite fair at $10 for residents like myself and $12 for non-residents.

I just can't believe I missed the phenomenal dinosaur tour at KC Pumpkin Patch.

The first time I set foot on the grounds, I was completely taken aback by the sheer scale of everything.

My 3.5-year-old was absolutely entranced, his eyes practically shining with excitement and curiosity, but it wasn't too scary for him, which was a relief!

You'd think that running around on a hot summer day with a toddler in tow would be tiring, but there was just enough to do to keep him engaged without overwhelming either of us.

Plus, the KC Wine Co is located right next door, which my adult friends tell me is a must-visit!

My only grouse is that the KC Pumpkin Patch is only open on the weekends, making it a bit of a wait for our next adventure.

But boy, did we have a blast!

The variety of family fun activities at KC Pumpkin Patch made it worth every penny, though I do wish they offered more food options.

At a glance, the market might seem small, with just about five or six vendors setting up their stalls.

However, don't let the size fool you.

Each farmer brings to the table an array of fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables that are an absolute delight to the palate.

Among them, a particular standout for me is the produce from Stewart’s Greenhouse.

Their homegrown tomatoes are a sight to behold, big and beautiful, although the price is a tad bit steep.

But trust me, a slice of these on a sunny side-up egg is worth every penny.

But it's not just the produce that makes this market a hit.

It's the people.

Every single vendor is friendly and welcoming, making the browsing experience a joy.

It's also a great place to meet your neighbors and catch up on the local gossip.

To top it off, don't forget to try the homemade salsa from Stewart’s Greenhouse.

It's the BEST, and I mean it.

It has the perfect balance of heat and tang, and it's guaranteed to take your taco nights to the next level.

My only wish for this market is for it to attract more vendors and widen its selection.

But even as it stands, the Olathe Farmers' Market is a great way to spend a sunny weekend morning while supporting our local farmers.
