The trails are their own world, with towering grasses, wildflowers that reach up to four feet in places, and trees that have fallen across the path, creating a natural obstacle course.

There's something genuinely rewarding about making your way through such untouched wilderness.

The high cliff overlooks of the creek below are breathtaking, and the sounds of the water rippling along the edge of the path add to the serenity of the experience.

While the trails here may not be as well-maintained as others in the National Park, they offer something unique.

It's a great place to start a hike and gives you access to Sagamore Creek and the CVNP.

High Bridge Glens is a testament to the wonders of nature, and it's right here, in our very own city.

There's something almost magical about the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek, nestled within Bedford Reservation, one of the gems in the crown of Cleveland Metroparks.

Here, the urban falls tumble a spectacular 15 feet over a wide sandstone cliff.

It's a sight to behold, especially when the water is rushing, which, I'll have you know, is a rare sight for waterfalls in the area.

The journey to the falls is just as delightful. A short hike through the park will get you there.

Likewise, the path, paved and easy to tread, winds past the ruins of an old mill, adding a touch of history to the natural beauty.

The foot traffic is usually minimal, making it a quiet, peaceful spot to unwind.

One of the best things about Tinkers Creek is the small shoreline that lies just before the waterfall.

It's the perfect place to sit and soak in the beauty of the falls.

I've spent countless hours there, lost in the mesmerizing sight of the water cascading over the cliff.

The parking at Viaduct Park, the gateway to the falls, is ample and convenient.

Though, when you're turning into the park, be ready to drive over what appears to be a sidewalk.

I know it seems strange, but that's how it is.

Now, if you're a bit of an explorer, a hidden trail leads to the base of the falls.

The adventurous can even go to the top, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Some artificial routes can be a bit risky, with no rails or barriers to stop you from tumbling into the boulders of Tinker's Creek.

Safety first, after all.

Despite its unlikely location in a not-so-great part of town, the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek is an island of natural beauty amid an urban jungle waiting for you.
