There's this incredible place right in our valley where my family and I love to spend our weekends.
High Trek Chelan Ropes Course & Ziplines at Slidewaters is the spot, you can find more info about it here.
It's an adventure haven, and I tell you, no visit is ever the same!
Just last Sunday, we celebrated my son's 11th birthday there, and what an unforgettable time we had!
The process of booking was a breeze.
We had chosen a two-hour Gel Blasters Party, and everything was done online - from scheduling and payment to signing waivers, all with the help of their courteous and efficient staff.
On the big day, the friendly instructors greeted us warmly.
They ensured the kids had adequate protection and moderated the game skillfully, making sure everyone had their fair share of fun and ammunition.
Frequent breaks were allowed due to the heat, and they even set up a shaded area for resting and refueling.
The sanitation measures were commendable, with the children's masks being disinfected multiple times during the party.
What set them apart was how receptive they were to our suggestions.
I can already see this place getting even better once they implement our recommendations like stocking cold drinks or expanding the Gel Ball Blasters field.
But remember, come party prepared with your drinks, food, and party utensils.
If it's a scorching day, an extra chair or a canopy for shade could come in handy.
High Trek Chelan Ropes Course & Ziplines at Slidewaters is also home to an amazing sky course and zipline, which the kids were eager to try.
Can't wait for our next visit to check these out!
The staff's commitment to safety is also worth mentioning.
They were quick to respond and even provided first aid when the youngest fell off and got entangled.
Their friendly demeanor made the experience even more pleasing.
Embark on a Culinary Adventure at Rocky Pond Winery Tasting Room
Every now and then, I love to treat myself to an extraordinary culinary experience, and my favorite place to do that is at Rocky Pond Winery Tasting Room.
This isn't just your ordinary winery; it's a gastronomic journey created by none other than the talented Chef Austin.
I remember one evening when I was treated to an unexpected 5-course tasting menu.
The creativity and the surprise element in each dish was mind-blowing.
The night started off with a spontaneous crab dish that was just divine.
Then came the whipped goat cheese paired with grilled grapes.
I still dream about that dish.
I was so enamored by the flavor that I found myself scraping the sauce off every plate.
I must admit, it isn't just the food that makes this place so special; the ambiance and the service are unparalleled.
Everyone at Rocky Pond Winery Tasting Room is friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable.
One dish that particularly stands out in my mind is the mushroom themed dessert.
The unusual combination of flavors was a delightful surprise.
And although the wine is exquisite, to be honest, the food outshines the wine.
Stroll through Chelan Riverwalk Park

I'm telling you, there's no better way to explore the beauty of Chelan than a stroll on the Riverwalk Park.
This 12-acre waterfront gem is my go-to spot whenever I need a break from the daily hustle.
The park is generously scattered with picnic areas and shelters, and I often pack a simple lunch to enjoy under the shade.
The trail is one of the best features of the park. It's a loop that meanders along the river, offering stunning views at every turn.
A unique highlight is the 'Planet Walk' on the lake's western side - an educational journey combining nature with astronomy.
I love that the trail is pet-friendly.
My furry companion is always thrilled to join me, although he must be on a leash as per the park's rules.

As we walk, the rushing water sounds are a constant, soothing companion. The water is so clear you can even spot fish lazily swimming by.
Plenty of benches dot the path, all facing the water. I often take a moment to sit, soak up the marvelous view, and breathe.
Riverwalk Park also has ample green spaces where you can lie down and just gaze at the sky.
An added convenience is the availability of bathrooms along the way and garbage cans, which encourages visitors to keep the place clean.
And for those who love boating, there's a boat launch too.

There's something about the waves at Lakeside Surf that are unlike anywhere else.
The folks here welcome you in with open arms, especially if you're new to surfing.
They offer some of the best coaches around, making it an ideal place to learn the art of surfing.
Plus, there's plenty of seating for the whole family to kick back and relax.
A little insider tip: the Vine Cafe and Taco truck tucked away in the park are a must-visit.
They offer some delicious bites at surprisingly affordable prices, perfect for a post-surfing treat.
One of the best parts is, Lakeside Surf is directly connected to Slidewaters, where the kids can enjoy thrilling slides and a lazy river.
Lakeside Surf is an unforgettable experience.
The welcoming staff, the supportive learning environment, and the sheer fun of riding the waves make this a must-visit spot for anyone visiting the area.
I am grateful for this gem in our region that makes every day feel like a beach vacation.
Sample Wines at Mellisoni Vineyards
I still remember the first day I walked into Mellisoni Vineyards.
It was a sunny afternoon, and the vineyard was bathed in a warm, golden glow.
The snug, intimate setting immediately put me at ease.
It’s the kind of place where you feel at home instantly.
There were six exquisite wines we tasted that day, but the Riesling was a revelation.
It was so amazing that I couldn’t resist taking home half a case.
But Mellisoni isn’t just about the wine.
The view from the vineyard is truly breathtaking.
Overlooking a serene lake surrounded by lush greenery, it adds to the whole wine-tasting experience, making it even more memorable.
I’ve also tried the Rose Prosecco and red blend on subsequent visits, and they were just as delightful as the Riesling.
The membership is definitely worth it, and it’s always a pleasure to share these exceptional wines with friends.
Indulge in Wine with a View at Tsillan Cellars
Every time I visit Tsillan Cellars, it's as if I've stepped into an enchanted realm.
The location is nothing short of stunning, nestled high above the shimmering expanse of Lake Chelan.
I've spent countless hours meandering through the property, savoring the panoramic views of the vineyard and the rolling hills that stretch out behind it.
The food here is always a delight to the senses.
Whether it's a light lunch or a full-bodied dinner, every dish that I've tasted has been incredibly tasty.
But the true charm of Tsillan Cellars lies beyond the food and the views.
It's the people who work here that make every visit a unique experience.
From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed with warm smiles and an eagerness to make your experience as memorable as possible.
The staff is remarkably attentive, always on hand to clear an empty plate or refill a drink before you even realize you need it.
I've been visiting Tsillan Cellars with my family for over six years now, and each time, we're treated as if we're part of the family.
The staff are not just friendly, they're genuinely kind and helpful.
They've created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you look forward to every visit.
What makes Tsillan Cellars even more special is its kid-friendly environment.
So, if you have children in tow, there's no need to worry.
They're more than welcome here, and there's plenty for them to enjoy, too.
To top it all off, the property is a photographer's dream come true.
With its breathtaking views and picturesque vineyard, you'll find yourself snapping away to capture every moment.
Have a Movie Night at the Historic Ruby Theatre

Chelan is a town that's steeped in history, and nowhere is that more evident than at our very own Ruby Theatre.
It's over a century old and proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
There's something quite extraordinary about walking into this little gem tucked away in the heart of our town - you can almost feel the past seeping out of the aged woodwork.
The website, Ruby Theatre, has all the information you need for an unforgettable movie night.
One of my personal favorite things about Ruby Theatre is the balcony.
It's an 18+ area, giving adults a quiet and intimate environment to watch their movies, separate from the main floor which is open to everyone.
The balcony may be small, but it's cozy, with old-style theatre seats that add to the charming ambiance.
What really blows me away every time, though, is the stellar audio and video quality.
It's like they've managed to combine the best of both worlds - the old-world charm and the modern technology.
I've spent the last decade in Chelan, and not once have I had a below-par experience.
Every movie I've ever watched here has been an absolute delight.
One thing you should note about Ruby Theatre is that it's a one-screen theater.
I find this uniquely appealing as it adds to the classic feel of the place.
Plus, it's always interesting to see what movie they'll be showing next.
It truly is a remarkable place, a historic charm in our quaint town.
Soak up the Sun at Don Morse Memorial Park
I've got to say there's nothing quite like a sunny day spent at Don Morse Memorial Park.
Nestled right on the shores of Lake Chelan, this little gem of a park is where I've made countless summer memories.
On sweltering summer days, I often find myself diving into the cool, clear waters of the lake.
The swimming area is perfect, it stays shallow for quite a way out, making it ideal for families with kids.
I've even spotted a few glittering fish as I swam around, the water so clear that they're easy to see.
Fancy a bit of birdwatching? You're in luck!
The park is fringed with trees, providing ample shade and a haven for a variety of birds.
Parking can get a little tricky during the peak season, especially if you're driving something as large as a motorhome, but trust me, the short walk from the back streets is worth the effort.
And if you forgot your picnic basket, don't fret!
The Outpost concession stand has got you covered with snacks and drinks.
But it's not all about the water.
This lakeside park comes complete with a golf course for those who like to stay dry.
I personally enjoy firing up a grill and enjoying a BBQ while soaking up the breathtaking view of Lake Chelan.
And the best part?
Don Morse Memorial Park is just a stone's throw away from restaurants and grocery stores for a quick run if needed.
I must say, there's no better place to spend a sunny day than at Don Morse Memorial Park.
Whether you're a local like me or a visitor, I'm sure you'll fall in love with this park just like I did.
Unwind with Friends over Wine at Karma Vineyards
There's no place like home; for me, that's just around the corner from Karma Vineyards.
This gem has become my go-to place for relaxation, nestled in the beautiful Chelan countryside.
Here's a little peek into my local hangout.
The first thing that greets you at Karma Vineyards is the beautiful patio.
Imagine kicking back with a glass of their fine wine, overlooking their serene koi pond.
And let me tell you, their wine is something else.
With cider, champagne, and even whiskey/bourbon tastings, there is a flavor for every palate.
And the best part?
Their wine and cider flights are only $5, a win for the wallet too.
One thing that keeps me coming back time and again is the exceptional service.
The staff is not just friendly but accommodating too.
One time, there was a slight delay with our server, and they went out of their way to apologize with a complimentary glass of champagne.
Talk about making the best out of a small hiccup!
Karma Vineyards has also become my favorite place to bring out-of-town friends.
Their fresh fare, sourced from local ingredients, is always a hit.
Nothing beats pairing their delicious food with some of their sparkling wines.
And did I mention how pet-friendly they are?
It's such a joy to be able to bring my furry friend along.
In my books, any place that loves my pet as much as I do gets top marks.
Have a Splash at Slidewaters
There's a reason why locals like myself highly recommend a visit to Slidewaters, a charming family aquatic park that's become a staple for my family's summer outings.
With its mat, body, and tube slides, a floating river, and hot tubs, there is something for everyone.
When the sun is high, and the temperatures are soaring, there's nothing like heading over to Slidewaters for a refreshing break.
My kids absolutely love the variety of water play available for all age ranges.
This aquatic park has a great ticket pricing system, which is a big plus for families like mine.
However, given its popularity, it can get pretty crowded during the peak season.
I'd recommend bringing along a blanket and canopy if you are not planning to rent a cabana or pavilion.
The park itself has undergone considerable expansion over the years.
The addition of volleyball courts, zip lines, an upper-level parking lot, and a gift shop have significantly enhanced the overall experience.
Watching fun volleyball games from the comfort of a cabana is a treat in itself!
But be warned, the food sold here can be a bit pricey.
So, if you're on a budget, it might be a good idea to pack your own snacks and drinks.
After all, with all the fun and games in the water, you'll hardly have time to think about food!
As a tip from someone who frequently visits the Slidewaters, it's best to come on weekdays when it's less crowded.
But regardless of when you go, a day spent at Slidewaters is a day well spent.
My Favorite Spot: Lake Chelan State Park

I can't count how many times I've spent my weekends at Lake Chelan State Park.
This 127-acre park, nestled on the shore of Washington's longest lake, is my go-to for a quick escape from the daily hustle.
The campsites here are a haven for nature lovers like myself.
But be warned, getting a spot during the peak season requires some planning - I usually make my reservations three to four months ahead.
No visit to the park is complete without a trip to the lake.
The campsites along the water are my favorites.
Nothing beats waking up to the serene view of the lake in the morning.
And the large dock? It's a great spot to sit back and watch the sunset after a long day of fun-filled activities.
Speaking of activities, there's a lot you can do here.
I've spent many afternoons paddleboarding and kayaking on the crystal-clear waters of the lake.
And when I feel like taking it easy, I grab my favorite book and relax by the shore.
The park is equally welcoming to kids and pets, so I never miss a chance to bring my furry friend along.
The facilities at the park are well-maintained.
The bathrooms are always clean, and the showers are a blessing after a long day in the water.
The rangers here are quite friendly and always ready to answer any queries that visitors might have.
One thing to keep in mind, though - the park tends to get crowded during the summer months, so parking can be a bit tricky.
But trust me, the warm water and the stunning views of the lake more than makeup for it.
Just remember to get here early, and you'll have a blast, just like I always do!
Catch the Sunset at Lakeside Park
Nothing quite signals the arrival of summer in Chelan like a day spent at our beautiful Lakeside Park.
The season starts early here, and you can often find me taking advantage of the peace and quiet before the crowds descend.
There is something so calming about the clear water, untouched and pristine, reflecting the sky above.
I'm always proud to note how clean the park is, both in terms of the water and its surroundings.
It's a testament to the city's commitment to providing us Chelan residents and visitors with the best experience possible.
Of course, it's up to all of us to keep it that way.
No day at the park is complete without staying to watch the sunset.
It's a sight to behold, the way the sky changes color and the last rays of the sun dance on the lake's surface.
It's an amazing spectacle that I never tire of seeing.
On weekends, Lakeside Park becomes a hub of activity.
It's one of the most popular beaches in Chelan, and parking can become quite a challenge.
Sometimes, I end up parking 20 minutes away on the main road.
But the moment I set foot in the park and see the warm, crystal clear water, all the inconvenience fades away.
August is the best time to visit.
The water is at its warmest, and the park buzzes with energy.
Peruse the Offerings from Sunshine Farm Market
I still remember the first time I stumbled upon Sunshine Farm Market.
I was on my usual weekend drive around town when the sight of fresh produce neatly arranged in rustic wooden crates caught my eye.
The colorful array of organic fruits and vegetables was a treat for the eyes, and it immediately became my go-to spot for groceries.
Sunshine Farm Market isn't just about fresh produce.
It is a treasure trove filled with local goods that make for perfect gifts or treats for oneself.
The store is fairly small, but its selection is huge and impressively varied.
Discovering new products every time I visit is part of the charm.
A trip to Sunshine Farm Market is incomplete without getting a bag of their saltwater taffy.
It's a sweet delight I treat myself to every time I'm there.
Their cherries, too, are exceptional, especially when they are in season.
The brilliant red cherries they have are the juiciest and most succulent ones I've ever tasted.
It's not just the products at Sunshine Farm Market that make the experience memorable; the people make it even more special.
The owner is genuinely passionate about the store and is always welcoming.
The friendly atmosphere and affordable prices make it a joy to shop there.
In a world where convenience often takes precedence over quality, Sunshine Farm Market is a breath of fresh air.
It's a local haven that brings the beauty and bounty of farm-fresh produce right to our neighborhood.
Have a Retreat at Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park
Right in the heart of nature, surrounded by majestic mountains and the serene Lake Chelan, is where you'll find the enchanting Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park.
Imagine a place so secluded, so quiet, that the hustle and bustle of city life feel like a distant memory.
That's what it feels like at Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park.
No Starbucks, no traffic, no city noise, and no disturbances.
Just you, the wilderness, and the breathtaking night sky.
You haven't truly experienced the beauty of the Milky Way until you've seen it from here.
The campground is a favorite spot of mine.
The spaces are close, but not too close - providing enough room for setting up your own little campsite.
It's like having your own backyard in the wilderness.
If you're up for some beach time, there's a secret entrance for those with four-legged companions.
What sets this park apart from the rest are its facilities.
The free WiFi is a godsend for those rare moments when you need to connect with the outside world.
But what's truly exceptional is the free hot showers.
Nothing beats a hot shower after a long day of hiking and exploring!
But Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park is more than just a natural escape.
It's a community.
Drop by the general store, and you might just see a painting I've hung up.
And while you're there, make sure to say hello to Tom.
He's the kindest person you'll ever meet.
For those who don't know about it, this park is a hidden gem.
It's not just a state park; it's a part of who I am, and I can't help but share the magic with others.
Discover Local History at the Chelan Museum

Every so often, I find myself stepping into the doors of the Chelan Museum, a charming institution located in a historic 1907 bank building.
The museum is a beloved part of our town's tapestry, turning the pages of our local history and culture.
The museum is like a storybook, its pages filled with tales of the Chelan and Manson areas.
You can't help but marvel at the many exhibits showcasing Native American artifacts like intricately woven baskets, mesmerizing beadwork, and various other remarkable objects.
These are not just artifacts; they're pieces of the rich history of the people who lived here before us.
Walking through the museum's rooms is like stepping back in time.
They exhibit day-to-day life from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, providing a stark contrast to the world we live in today.
Objects from early local businesses line the shelves, from old bank notes to vintage movie tickets and agricultural tools.
It's a true testament to the community's roots.
But my personal favorite? The Apple Cup hydro races memorabilia - they really take you on a thrilling journey back in time!
The man at the front desk is a wellspring of knowledge.
Every visit deepens my understanding of our town's history, thanks to his insights.
And the museum isn't just upstairs - make sure you head down to the basement.
It's a treasure trove of additional exhibits, perhaps a bit dimly lit, but that's to ensure the artifacts behind the glass take the spotlight.
This museum is more than just a fun fact repository.
For instance, can you believe our town had switchboard operators till the 1970s?
I, for one, was amazed - and the photos are a blast to see.
Let's not forget the hair curler that once adorned a local beauty salon.
I can't help but chuckle every time I see it, thankful that I wasn't subjected to its mechanical clutches.
Grab Fresh Produce at Chelan Evening Farmers' Market
Do you know what I love about Thursdays?
The Chelan Evening Farmers' Market, that's what!
This isn't your average market, it's a vibrant hub where the community comes together to celebrate homegrown produce and artisan crafts.
Just the thought of visiting makes me taste the sweetest, juiciest Rainier cherries, which, by the way, are a must-have.
Strolling through the market, the air is filled with the aroma of fresh local honey, ripe for the picking.
I absolutely adore the honey from here, it's just so much more fragrant and delicious than anything you'd find at a grocery store.
And let's not even get started on the abundance of veggies!
From the crunchiest bell peppers to the softest butter lettuce, you can find everything you need for a wholesome, nutritious meal.
And then, there are the eggs.
Oh, the eggs!
I swear they’re the freshest you’ll ever find, perfect for a hearty breakfast of homemade English muffins that you can also grab at the market.
And if you have a sweet tooth like mine, don't miss out on the mouth-watering caramel!
It's so rich and creamy it practically melts in your mouth.
What I particularly enjoy is the local artisans showcasing their crafts.
I always make sure to stop by Kimberly's for her dried fruit.
There's something incredibly heartening about supporting local businesses, especially when their products are so delightful!
And the best part?
The Chelan Evening Farmers' Market is nestled right next to the River Walk park, adding to the overall tranquil and serene ambiance.
Soak in the Charm of Nefarious Cellars
Every now and then, you stumble upon a place that makes you rethink your definition of 'local.'
For me, that place is Nefarious Cellars.
Nestled in a picturesque corner of our town, this estate vineyard is more than just a spot for wine enthusiasts.
It's a destination that offers an entirely different perspective on the beauty and charm of our home.
I remember the first time I walked into Nefarious Cellars, utterly taken in by the stunning locale.
The vineyard, with its sprawling grape vines against the backdrop of the setting sun, was a sight to behold.
What set it apart, however, was the quaint inn inside the vineyard.
The inn, with its rustic charm and homely comforts, made the entire experience truly unique.
During the harvest season, Nefarious Cellars transforms into a bustling hub of activity.
It's an opportunity to witness the journey of grapes as they go from being plump, ripe fruits to the fine wine that we savor.
The Nefarious wines are a class apart.
I've had my share of wine tastings, but the flavors here are something else.
They are a true reflection of the love and effort that goes into every bottle.
The staff at Nefarious Cellars are friendly and knowledgeable, always eager to share their insights about the wines and the vineyard.
The outdoor seating area offers panoramic views of the vineyard, the perfect spot to sip on your wine and soak in the calm.
If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a hydroplane race, a rare sight that only adds to the charm of this place.
Beyond just wine, Nefarious Cellars also offers wine classes.
As someone who loves wine, these classes have opened up a whole new world for me.
They've deepened my understanding of wines and given me a newfound appreciation for the art and science of winemaking.
After a long hike or a busy day, heading over to Nefarious Cellars has become somewhat of a tradition for me.
Whether it's the great wine, the incredible views, or the lovely hospitality, there's always something that pulls me back.
It's a part of my home, a part of my community, and a place I'm proud to share with others.
If you ever find yourself in my neck of the woods, do drop by Nefarious Cellars.
Go Birdwatching at Beebe Springs Wildlife Area
When you live in the vicinity of Beebe Springs Wildlife Area, it becomes a part of your life.
This 207-acre park, with its interpretive trails, viewing blinds, and adorable fishing pond for kids, is like my backyard.
Every weekend, I find myself pulling on my walking shoes and stepping out to explore the well-maintained trails, each time discovering something new.
There's a rustic charm to the place that makes it stand out.
Unlike other parks with color-coordinated flower beds and show-stopping evergreens, Beebe Springs is refreshingly natural.
A walk through the park feels like a stroll through wilderness, and the beauty lies in its simplicity.
From cedar wax wings to yellow warblers, the park is a paradise for birdwatchers.
The steel sculptures depicting Native American culture add an artistic touch to the natural surroundings.
Beebe Springs Wildlife Area features a small fishing pond designed specifically for kids.
I've seen their eyes light up as they reel in their first fish.
And if you are a lover of art, the park's Smoker Marchand works are a sight to behold.
The park is not without its flaws, though.
The restrooms often look like they've been under heavy use and could use more regular maintenance.
And it can be frustrating when people don't pick up after their pets, despite the natural setting.
A pet station or two could certainly help with that.
But all things considered, Beebe Springs Wildlife Area is a wonderful retreat.
Whether you want to relax on a bench, enjoy the incredible birdlife, or simply take a leisurely stroll, it's a great place to unwind and connect with nature, especially during the cooler hours of the day when the sun isn't as hot.
Have a Tee Time at Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course

One sunny afternoon, I found myself at the Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course.
I was immediately taken by the beauty of the course, it was in excellent shape, and the greens were fast.
There's nothing quite like teeing off with the sun on your back and the wind in your hair at a beautiful golf course.
The food is excellent, and the staff is always friendly.
Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course is conveniently located just up the hill from the entrance into downtown Chelan, making it a breeze to get to.
I usually hit a few balls at the driving range before starting my game.
It has a grassy area, which is a nice touch, and they move the tee area often, keeping the practice interesting.
The pricing is a little steep, but I guess that's to be expected, given the location.
And the vistas you get from the course, overlooking the beautiful lake, make it worth every penny.
The pace of play can be slow sometimes, and the greens aren't always in the best condition, but the views more than makeup for it.
The staff at the course is a bit of a mixed bag – some guys in the clubhouse can be a bit gruff, while others are really nice.
But the team in the restaurant area always greets you with a smile, ready to serve up some delicious food.
After a good round of golf, I always make sure to stop by the Albatross for a beer or a meal.
It's the perfect way to end a day on the course.
Hop on Exhilarating Adventures with Chelan Parasail & Watersports
There's nothing quite like soaring above the serene waters of Lake Chelan, courtesy of Chelan Parasail & Watersports.
The sensation of peace and freedom is unparalleled as the cool breeze gently brushes past your face.
My recent parasailing adventure was indeed a mesmerizing experience, made even more remarkable by our competent and friendly guides, Eric and Ashley.
Their professionalism and attention to detail made you forget all about your initial jitters.
They maintained such smooth communication, ensuring that we felt confident and calm before our ascent.
Once up there, the views alone were enough to steal your breath away.
The stunning panorama of the shimmering waters set against the backdrop of the dreamy sky was a sight to behold.
An adventure on the lake doesn't stop at parasailing.
The company offers an array of watersports activities.
It's been a tradition of sorts for my husband and me to rent a boat from them every summer.
Their staff is always exceptionally nice and helpful, ensuring our experience is hassle-free each time.
They even provide a quick tutorial for novice boaters and are readily available to assist, such as when they met us on the water to guide our boat into the slip.
Chelan Parasail & Watersports always delivers an invigorating and memorable experience.
It's the perfect blend of adrenaline and tranquility, complemented by stellar service.
So, whether you're flying high in the sky or cruising on the lake, you're guaranteed an unforgettable day out on the waters.
Sample Beer from Stormy Mountain Brewing and Local Public House
Close your eyes and picture a hangout where the vibes are funky, the settings are communal, and the beer selection is one to behold; that's my regular spot, Stormy Mountain Brewing and Local Public House.
Every open door welcomes locals and travelers alike with the sight of booths and communal tables and the tantalizing aroma of BBQ smoking in the background.
It's not just a place to grab a bite, but it's also a place to cheer for your favorite sports on TV.
At the core, Stormy Mountain Brew is a tap house with a BBQ twist, and that's where the real adventure begins.
Their pretzels!
Let me tell you about their pretzels.
They are just as amazing as you've heard, living up to the hype and then some.
The BBQ sauces, oh my goodness, are an entire palate experience on their own.
You’ve got the house version and my personal favorite, the Sriracha version.
It’s a rich, tomato-forward, bold sauce that truly stands out.
But remember to save the sauce for the meats, like the in-house smoked brisket - it's hit or miss, but the sauce pulls it through when the meat underperforms.
One thing about Stormy Mountain Brew that stands out, besides the food, is their staff.
They're friendly, attentive, and they don't shy away from giving their honest recommendations.
In my experience, their recommendations on beer pairings have never disappointed me.
If you're a fan of burgers, then brace yourself for their brisket sandwich and bacon cheeseburger.
They're served with generous portions of fries that they don't always mention on the menu and the brisket sandwich?
It’s a mouthful of greatness that leaves you wishing it would never end!
To top it off, they have three or four different sauces to choose from, all of them delectable.
Let's not forget they are dog-friendly, too, a feature that earns them extra brownie points.

Go Swimming at Chelan Falls Park
There's no place more serene than Chelan Falls Park, my personal sanctuary nestled in Chelan, Washington.
It's a fairly sizable park, covering a total area of 33 acres.
But, unlike the crowded Lake Chelan, this park offers a tranquil, low-key environment that many parks in the area simply can't compete with.
The park boasts a well-kept picnic shelter, a lively playground, and even a tennis court.
But the heart of the park is undoubtedly its swimming area and boat launch, which my family and I make the most of during the summer months.
We usually find a spot in the shade and let the kids loose for a swim while we enjoy some peaceful moments by the water.
However, do tread lightly, as certain trees in the park have a tendency to drop thorny balls that can easily pierce shoes.
We learned this the hard way, but it hasn't stopped us from returning.
And it's not just the natural beauty that impresses - the cleanliness of the park facilities also stands out.
I must admit, the bathrooms at Chelan Falls Park are the cleanest I've seen at any public park.
You can learn more about the park's amenities at the Chelan PUD website.
Even during the off-peak season, the park remains a sight to behold.
Come autumn, when the park is less crowded, you can appreciate its beauty without distraction.
The boat ramps, boat trailer parking, and signage add to the charm of this park.
Whether you're a nature lover seeking tranquillity or looking for a great spot for your family outing, Chelan Falls Park has something to offer.
It's a gem that deserves to be discovered and appreciated.
Final Thoughts
Living in Chelan is akin to residing in a paradise of outdoor and nature-inspired activities.
Truly, Chelan's beauty is surpassed only by the spirit of its community.
It's a place where people and nature harmoniously coexist, creating a home that's vibrant, welcoming, and endlessly exciting.
