When you step foot in the park, you are greeted with beautiful scenic views only Idaho can offer.

The park is fenced-in and has slides to entertain the little ones while the adults enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

What makes it even better is that it's just a short walk from the CDA resort, McEwen Park, and downtown shops.

One thing I love about Fort Sherman Playground is that it's not just for kids. We adults can have fun, too.

Whether it's riding a bike around the park, walking the dog through the grass and large trees surrounding the lake, or even playing a game of tag in the wood-built playground - there's something for everyone.

The trail is generously sprinkled with benches, perfect for little breaks, meditation, or even a quick read, all while engrossed in nature's beauty.

Your efforts are rewarded with a 3.5-mile hike and a 740' elevation gain.
