The enthusiastic staff, like Wanda, who is a wealth of knowledge, especially in the WWII room, shares stories about the brave souls who fought for our country from Arlington or those associated with the city.

It's fascinating to see the variety of items on display that have been donated by residents.

However, it's also noticeable that the narrative largely ends around 1960.

For a town that has grown and changed so much, it's a little disappointing not to see more recent history represented.

For instance, the stadium, one of our town's most famous landmarks, finds no mention.

Particularly striking is the Education area upstairs, where you can find vintage composition books and other school-related items, although, again, the history stops a bit too early.

Absent is any mention of Allan Saxe, a significant figure in Arlington's education landscape and a major contributor to our community.

His contributions, like the free dentist office, park, and the giant DREAM letters downtown, have made a big impact on the town.

There's so much more to Arlington's story that younger generations can connect with, and hopefully, the museum will include these newer chapters in the future.

But even so, the Fielder House Museum is a remarkable place that offers a fantastic historical experience, especially to those of us who grew up here admiring the city's exceptional growth.

Walk Your Fido at Witness Tree Memorial Gardens

I never thought I'd learn so much about history while taking my dogs for a walk.

Strolling through the beautifully maintained Witness Tree Memorial Gardens has really opened my eyes to the stories that can be found beneath our feet.

The caretakers have done an excellent job, leaving no stone unturned, or rather, no leaf unturned.

Although, with so much open space, I do have to keep a careful eye on them to ensure they don’t wander too far or bolt into the street.

On another day, I took my son with me, and we had an amazing time.

The staff members were not just welcoming and helpful but also very passionate about what they do.
