I've grown up surrounded by its vibrant community, world-class equestrian events, and beautiful parks.
But if there's one thing that truly makes me love living in this small yet bustling town, it's the incredible food scene.
Over the years, I've had the pleasure of trying out a variety of restaurants in Wellington, from cozy family-owned cafes to chic, upscale eateries.
Each dining experience has left me with a greater appreciation of the culinary creativity and diverse flavors that this town has to offer.
Raja Indian Cuisine & Bar
Whenever I crave authentic Indian food, I know I can count on Raja Indian Cuisine & Bar to satisfy my taste buds.
Located at the Original Wellington Mall, this hidden gem has become my go-to spot for delicious and reasonably priced meals.
The first time I visited Raja, I had lunch at their buffet for just $13, which is an absolute steal for the quality and variety of dishes available.
Since then, I've tried several items on their menu, such as vegetable biryani, masala dosa, Madagascar creme brulee, and masala chai.
Each dish bursts with flavor and authenticity, leaving me eager for my next visit.
As someone who lives in the area, I've had my fair share of tacos from various places, but nothing compares to the ones they serve in Taqueria Jalapenos.
You can find this hidden gem on Google Maps.
Their breakfast tacos are a great way to start the day, and if you're feeling brave, try their hot sauce that packs a serious punch.
I've also become a huge fan of their birria tacos – they are hands down the best you'll ever taste.
The service at Taqueria Jalapenos is top-notch.
The next time you're in the neighborhood, don't forget to stop by and treat yourself to some of the best tacos you'll ever have!
The Fresh Pita Club
The other day, I was craving some Mediterranean food, and I decided to give The Fresh Pita Club a try.
As soon as I walked in, I could tell that this place was special, thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The fantastic people running the place made me feel right at home, and the food was just as amazing as the service.
I ordered the lamb beef gyro for dine-in, and let me tell you, it was so delicious that I ended up taking a chicken kabob meal to go!
I'm not even a chicken person, but their chicken kabob was out of this world.
The real star of the show, though, was their pita bread.
It was some of the best I've ever had, so much so that I had to take some home with me.
On a later visit, I got take-out chicken shish kebab, gyro, and fresh pita, and it was just as delicious as my first experience.
The tzatziki sauce was light and creamy, and the pita bread was airy, light, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
The family that runs The Fresh Pita Club is lovely, and they always provide exceptional service.
One thing that truly sets this place apart is the attention given to explaining the menu and providing suggestions.
On one visit, there were two young kids behind the counter, and they were incredibly polite and knowledgeable about the offerings, making my experience even more pleasant.
I have to tell you about my latest dining experience at Sicilian Oven.
As a fan of Italian food, this place has quickly become a favorite in my neighborhood.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a fun, new-school vibe that felt refreshing compared to classic Italian restaurants.
The decor was young and trendy, with darker lighting and upbeat music setting the mood for a fantastic evening.
I started off my meal with their delicious bruschetta appetizer, which definitely did not disappoint!
I also had a taste of their unique chicken wings that had a hint of lemon and were loaded with onions.
For my main course, I shared the Italian Club sandwich and the Mona Lisa pizza with my friends.
Both dishes were absolutely scrumptious, especially the Italian Club, which was bursting with incredible flavor.
Sushi Fans Cafe
I absolutely love going to Sushi Fans Cafe in the Wellington/RPB/Loxahatchee area.
I must say it's hands down the best sushi spot around.
I visit this place at least once a week and have never been disappointed.
The food is always fresh, and the service is top-notch.
One of my favorite dishes to order is the spicy noodle soup – it's simply delicious!
Not only do they serve excellent raw and cooked sushi rolls with a wide variety to choose from, but they also offer other Asian-style dishes if you're not in the mood for rolls.
I remember the Valentine's Day dinner I had with my partner there; the sushi was so fresh, and the service was quick.
Plus, the restaurant is always clean and well-maintained.
I've been to Kaluz Restaurant multiple times and it never disappoints!
The atmosphere is always great and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for both family gatherings and casual outings with friends.
Their outdoor patio is surprisingly well-cooled thanks to the overhead fans, even during the hot south Florida days.
The food is consistently delicious, with the calamari appetizer being my absolute favorite.
Their prime rib and filet are cooked to perfection, and their seafood pasta is simply amazing.
The wine selection is great, and the freshly made bread is to die for.
Sushi Moto Asian
I have to say, ever since I discovered Sushi Moto Asian, my cravings for sushi and Asian cuisine have been met with pure satisfaction.
This no-frills venue has a casual, green-hued environment that creates a cozy atmosphere to enjoy delicious food.
One of the things that keep me coming back is their amazing volcano roll with baked seafood on top – it has an indescribable umami flavor that I haven't found anywhere else.
I've enjoyed this dish in many places, from Miami to North and South Carolina, and Sushi Moto's is by far the best I've ever had.
The Singapore Mei Fun noodles and roasted BBQ pork appetizer are also to die for!
The service is quick, and the prices are fair, which means I never feel guilty about indulging in my favorite dishes.
Yano's Italian Deli & Catering
As a resident of Wellington, I'm always on the lookout for great local dining spots.
That being said, I recently decided to visit Yano's Italian Deli & Catering, and I was not disappointed!
When I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, with a relaxed old school deli feel.
I ordered the Italian combo sub, which was absolutely delicious.
The fresh baked bread and fresh meat made the sandwich perfect.
I had heard about the delightful sandwiches from fellow residents, and I must say, they were right.
As I observed other customers enjoying their meals, it was evident that Yano's is a popular choice among locals.
During my lunch visit, the place was bustling with activity, which further proved the popularity of this hidden gem.
I saw a couple of customers who had the turkey hero, and it looked quite satisfying.
As someone who loves Italian cuisine, I recently decided to try out Agliolio, a comfortable strip-mall Italian spot in my neighborhood.
I must say, I was impressed by their mix-and-match pasta list, as well as the delightful pizzas and meaty options available on their menu.
The ambiance, location, and people truly made the experience enjoyable for me.
One thing that stood out to me was their option for vegetarians and vegans, which is a rarity in most Italian restaurants.
Tulum Mexican Cuisine
Last Friday, my friends and I decided to try out Tulum Mexican Cuisine for our weekly dinner night.
We had heard mixed reviews, so we wanted to see for ourselves what the place was like.
Upon entering, we were impressed with the spacious and elegant decor.
It definitely set our expectations high for the rest of the evening.
I must say, the drinks were indeed superb, and the food was quite tasty.
We enjoyed the great portions and reasonable prices.
The Poké Company
I can't help but express my love for The Poké Company.
As someone who enjoys healthy eating, I've found myself having poké for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on many occasions!
Their clean restaurants always impress me, and the fresh produce makes for an amazing meal every time.
If you're a sushi lover like me, you'll definitely enjoy their Poké bowls.
My personal favorites are the Beef or Chicken Bowls, which are essentially sushi bowls.
The best part is customizing the toppings and sauces to add even more flavor to the meal.
A little pro tip: don't hesitate to ask for your favorite topping on the side!
The food always tastes fresh and delicious.
Despite this, I keep coming back for the fantastic flavor of their food.
Lemongrass Asian Bistro Wellington
One of my favorite places to visit for a delicious meal and great ambiance is the Lemongrass Asian Bistro Wellington.
This bustling spot serves up amazing Asian-fusion cuisine and sushi, all in a chic and modern space.
I've been there a few times, and each visit has been a delight.
Usually, I prefer going there during happy hour at the bar until 7 pm.
The bartender is incredibly attentive, social, and makes the best mojito in town.
I typically order the same sushi roll every time I'm there, and I can attest to the consistency in quality and freshness.
One Saturday night, my friends and I decided to drop by around 8:30 pm without any reservations.
We were told the wait would be around 20 minutes, so we sat at the bar and had a drink.
To our delight, we got a high-top table in the bar area, which turned out to be a great spot.
The food was absolutely fantastic, and the prices were quite reasonable.
Gabriel's Cafe & Grill
As a resident, I can tell you that one of my favorite spots to grab breakfast or lunch in the area is Gabriel's Cafe & Grill.
I hadn't been there in about 10 years due to moving away but on my recent visit, I was pleased to find that the service was still friendly and attentive.
The food not only tasted great but was also presented well.
I ordered their country fried steak and eggs, which was a perfect choice to satisfy my cravings.
Another thing I love about Gabriel's is their outdoor patio - they are always welcoming to our four-legged friends and even have humorous menu items like "proceed in bones."
Kickback Neighborhood Tavern
A few weeks ago, my sister and I decided to check out Kickback Neighborhood Tavern for dinner.
We'd heard good things about it, but had never been.
As luck would have it, we went on a Tuesday, which just so happens to be their taco night.
We tried the ground beef, steak, and shrimp tacos, and they were all so delicious that we had to order seconds!
The chicken wings were also incredible, and the service was excellent.
Fast forward to last night, when we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday at Kickback.
They have a wide variety of dishes and a great happy hour menu too.
I ordered the pistachio-crusted salmon, and it was absolutely delicious.
The best part of the night was when the band serenaded my son with a birthday song as his cake was brought out.
That sweet gesture made the evening even more special.
