Fort 88

Ever wonder how it feels to dine in a place where every bite takes you on a culinary roller-coaster?

That's precisely what I feel every time I visit Fort 88, nestled in the heart of Upper Sandusky.

Every visit is an absolute delight, from their delicious Old Fashioneds to the Cubano sandwiches.

What sets Fort 88 apart is not just their delectable menu but also their attention to quality and the creativity they pour into each dish using locally sourced products.

Their steak salad and goat cheese dip paired with an 805 old-fashioned is something that I highly recommend.

The steak is so flavorful that it prompted me to go to their farm to buy some for me!

Another great option for seafood lovers is their fish n chips.

The portion size is perfect, the batter is crunchy, and the fish is mild, giving you an overall satisfying meal.

If you're craving something warm and comforting, their creamy grits drizzled with a hint of maple are a must-try.

Don't forget to wash it all down with their white sangria, arguably the best I've ever had.

If you're a steak lover like me, you can't leave this place without trying sirloin with chimichurri.

It’s my all-time favorite, and I guarantee you will keep returning for more.

And if it’s your birthday, brace yourself for a sweet surprise – a birthday rose!

It’s a heartwarming gesture that adds to the charm of Fort 88.

This place is a gem for us here in Wyandot County, and I can't wait to make more delicious memories there.

Mike's Dairy Bar

It was a typical Saturday afternoon when my family and I decided to get some ice cream at our favorite local spot, Mike's Dairy Bar.

The kids, as always, were eager to gobble down their favorite Smurf cones while I stayed true to my usual twist of plain old chocolate.

It has always been a treat that never disappoints.

We love Mike's Dairy Bar so much that we once made a 220-mile drive on a Monday to taste their heavenly ice cream.

No matter the wait or the distance, Mike's Dairy Bar is always worth it for our family.

The excellent value for the money and the delightful ice cream make it our go-to spot for a sweet treat.

Corner Inn

You know that warm, cozy feeling you get when you walk into a place that feels like home?

That's precisely what you experience at Corner Inn.

Nestled in the heart of our humble town, it's a place I've been visiting for years.

Whether it's a frosty winter morning or the sun is shining brightly, stepping into Corner Inn always assures me of a delightful breakfast.

From the familiar buzz of regulars chattering to the friendly staff who greet me by name, it's genuinely a comforting start to any day.

One of my absolute favorites here is the Western omelet.

Fluffy, packed with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of cheese, never fails to hit the spot.

If you love a hearty meal, try their Big Pancakes.

Picture this: golden-brown, plate-sized pancakes stack that can challenge even the hungriest of eaters.

But if you're in the mood for something unique, don't miss their stuffed waffles.

The first time I tried it, I couldn't believe how irresistible it was.

So, check out Corner Inn for anyone looking for a homey atmosphere, friendly service, and a breakfast that will stick to your ribs.

A.J.'s Heavenly Pizza

Once in a while, it's fun to break away from the typical dinner routine, and that's exactly what my family and I decided to do when we stumbled upon A.J.'s Heavenly Pizza.

Tucked away in our little town, this unassuming pizza joint proved to be a hidden gem.

When we walked in, we were immediately taken with the warmth and charm of the place.

Although it's a small eatery with only a couple of tables, it was immaculately kept.

My partner and I ordered a 12” meatball sub and a chicken pizza, which were generously portioned and perfectly cooked.

The meatball sub was a hearty treat, with the meatballs nicely seasoned and the bread fresh and soft.

The pizza, on the other hand, was a delightful surprise - the crust was crisp on the outside but soft and chewy inside, and the toppings were fresh and vibrant.

Meanwhile, the combination of the tangy tomato sauce, succulent chicken, and perfectly melted cheese was a melody of flavors that left us craving for more.

We should have ordered more to bring home.

So the next time you're in town, why not swing by A.J.'s Heavenly Pizza?

It's a delightful little spot that serves up some of the best pizza and subs in town.

Susie's Pizza

When it comes to the ultimate culinary satisfaction in Upper Sandusky, nothing hits the spot like a meal from Susie's Pizza.

The pizza at Susie's is simply out of this world.

Imagine biting into a slice loaded with generous toppings, each bite a perfect balance of well-seasoned flavors.

You’re not just getting pizza here. You’re getting a decadent treat worth your money.

Much like the pizza, Susie's subs are equally a delightful experience.

They’re cooked to absolute precision, each mouthful a testament to the expert culinary craftsmanship that goes into every order.

If they delivered to Kirby, I’d never consider getting pizza or subs from anywhere else.

But there's more to Susie's than just pizza and subs.

Their sandwiches are nothing short of fantastic.

An interesting fact is that even folks who aren't from around here rave about Susie's.

I once met an over-the-road truck driver from Florida who couldn’t stop waxing lyrical about the pizza and the boneless chicken wings he'd ordered from Susie's.

He said the pizza was the best he'd ever tasted, and the wings were still excellent, though a tad heavy on the barbecue sauce for his tastes.

In a nutshell, Susie's Pizza is Upper Sandusky's culinary gem.

A place where food is more than just sustenance; it’s a sensory experience.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, a meal at Susie's is an absolute must.

Loyal Order of Moose

Something about the aroma of slow-cooked, tender pulled pork wafting through the air draws you in.

It was a typical Friday night, and the Loyal Order of Moose was the spot.

I had heard high praises about their drive-thru menu, particularly the pulled pork sandwich, and I decided it was time to try it.

I must say, it was the best decision I made that night.

The sandwich was a masterpiece, the pork cooked to perfection, tender and juicy.

The coleslaw, a mix of crispy and creamy, was a flawless complement to the rich, smoky flavor of the pork.

A side of fries and my meal was complete.

But it wasn't just the food that made the night memorable.

A night at Loyal Order of Moose is undoubtedly an experience worth repeating.

Granny's Kitchen

Ah, the unmistakable aroma of fresh-cooked bacon mingled with homemade sausage's irresistible scent.

There's nothing quite like starting your day at Granny's Kitchen.

Nestled in the heart of our community, this little gem is one of my favorite breakfast spots.

As you enter the door, you're greeted by the aroma of home-cooked food and a friendly staff member ready to serve you with a smile.

The menu is as comforting as the atmosphere, filled with perfectly prepared breakfast classics.

Whether you crave a hearty breakfast sandwich or a plate of eggs cooked just as you like them, Granny's Kitchen delivers every time.

In my many visits, one thing that stands out about Granny's Kitchen is the commitment to quality.

Their sausage, for example, is always fresh.

This isn't your typical frozen fare; you can taste the difference.

Every bite is a testament to the skilled hands that work in the kitchen, churning out meals that make you feel like you're at grandma's house again.

The homemade chips, a little darker than you might expect, are surprisingly addictive.

They may not be to everyone's liking, but I think they add a unique touch to the dining experience.

And the best part? The prices at Granny's Kitchen are as comforting as the food itself.

A meal here won't break the bank, making it a perfect spot for regular visits.

If you're new to town or just passing through, I recommend stopping by Granny's Kitchen.

This cozy little diner is a true gem in our community, a culinary haven that serves delicious, home-cooked food with a side of warm hospitality.

Los Arcos

Every town has that one restaurant where you feel suitable at home; for me, that place is Los Arcos.

Regular weekday lunch hours find me savoring the delights of the carnitas tacos.

They always arrive piping hot and fresh off the grill, filling the air with a tantalizing aroma that has become synonymous with my lunch breaks.

The interior of Los Arcos is just as inviting as its food and drinks.

It's decked-out fancy, and a familiar face always greets you.

For my partner, this is her favorite place to eat in town.

It's not just about the food for her but also the memories.

We had our first date here 11 years ago, and they have loved the place ever since.

Our regular order is always the same - the four enchiladas dish, each with a different filling: bean, cheese, chicken, and beef.

It's a delightful mix of flavors; every bite takes us back to that first date.

Los Arcos has become more than just a restaurant for us. It's filled with good food, friendly service, and many memories.

And that's why it's our favorite place in town.

The Village Restaurant

Who doesn't love a quiet, comforting retreat after a long day?

For me, that sanctuary is The Village Restaurant.

There's just something about this quaint, mom-and-pop eatery that feels like home.

Just a regular weeknight, I decided to try something new from their menu - the shrimp dinner.

Prepared to perfection, the shrimp were cooked just right, with a fair portion that left me satisfied.

Accompanying the sumptuous shrimp were seasoned curly fries and a lovely copious salad with delicious blue cheese.

Though the salad portion could have been a bit larger, the fries more than made up for it.

The Village Restaurant is more than just a place to eat.

It is a spot where service and value meet in perfect harmony.

The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the food tastes like a hearty home-cooked meal.

This place serves not just food but memories - the charm of small-town hospitality that keeps bringing me back each time.

No matter where I might find myself, I know that a stopover at The Village Restaurant is always worth it.

Whether you're a traveler passing through or someone from the town, I highly recommend trying this place.

9 Flags Pizza

There's something special about dining in your hometown; for me, that's none other than 9 Flags Pizza.

You might be tempted to think I'm biased, but let me tell you - there’s no shortage of good places to eat here in Upper Sandusky.

Now, let's talk about their pizza.

I once ordered their large hand-tossed pizza and garlic cheese bread deal.

The garlic cheese bread was the meal's star - genuinely delicious!

However, its vast culinary variety sets this place apart for me.

I once tried their Carmel Expresso Chip ice cream, and I can confidently say it was the best ice cream I've ever had.

And did I mention their prices?

They're very reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes of the food.

I recommend 9 Flags Pizza to anyone looking for a flavorful experience in Upper Sandusky.

It's not just a pizza place. It's a culinary journey!

China Garden

Every town has its hidden gem, and for us here in Upper Sandusky, the China Garden easily earns that honor.

China Garden is an oasis of delectable Chinese cuisine in our small town.

The welcoming smile from the lady running the restaurant is enough to set the tone for a pleasant dining experience.

As you step inside, the wall decor immediately catches your eye.

It's fascinating to see the variety of Japanese lanterns hanging from the ceiling, creating an ambiance that transports you straight to the heart of Asia.

My go-to dish has always been Japanese Soup with pork.

Having tried it elsewhere, I can say that the one here at China Garden is unbeatable.

It is a savory blend of tender pork and flavorful broth, seasoned to perfection.

Besides, the egg rolls here are another crowd-pleaser that has won over many of my fellow residents.

What makes China Garden a favorite is its cleanliness and excellent service.

If you're in the Upper Sandusky/Carey area and crave Chinese food, China Garden is the place to be!

Cheers 2 U

What better way to spend an evening than at Cheers 2 U, a homey eatery tucked away in our quaint town?

The menu is inviting, boasting sides you wouldn't typically find on other restaurant menus.

The bar, tables, and chairs are the real stars, boasting a unique and cool aesthetic that adds to the overall dining experience.

One can't miss the brisket and meatloaf, hearty meals that never fail to satisfy.

A hidden gem indeed, Cheers 2 U is where you would love to bring your family; your kids will enjoy their usual corn dogs while you can try some of the unique dishes.

Starting your meal with pretzel bites and cheese is always a good idea.

Follow this up with boneless chicken or ribs slathered with Bourbon BBQ sauce, and you're in for a treat!

The sidewinders and salads are also worth a mention.

On a cautionary note, I'd recommend steering clear of the burgers.

Despite their promising appearance, my previous experience leads me to advise caution.

The service can sometimes be a bit hit-or-miss, with wait staff disappearing between orders.

However, the pizzas are a safe bet and worth a try!

Despite minor setbacks, Cheers 2 U remains a favorite spot of mine for a casual, enjoyable meal.

The Steer Barn

Amidst the familiar surroundings of our town, you'll find an unexpected culinary gem standing tall for several years.

It's a place where the past meets the present, where rustic charm intertwines with modern culinary expertise; it's none other than The Steer Barn.

The moment you step in, you're transported to a bygone era.

The place is an old barn, refurbished to perfection, preserving its old-school charm yet providing a contemporary dining experience.

The food here is a delightful homage to traditional steakhouse fare.

I remember ordering a medium-rare ribeye, which was delicious despite being a tad too charred on the bottom.

Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavors, it was a steak that would give any high-end steakhouse a run for its money.

If you have a sweet tooth like me, do not miss their raspberry Bellini cocktail.

It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, a refreshing accompaniment to the hearty steak.

And hey, the sweet tea? It's bottomless, and trust me. It’s more than you would want to admit.

The Steer Barn is the kind of place that grows on you.

It's a place that carries the character of our town, wrapped in a cozy, old barn setting, offering an eating experience steeped in tradition and yet, delightful.

Don Tomasso's Italian Kitchen

You wouldn't believe my incredible dining experience at Don Tomasso's Italian Kitchen!

Nestled right in the heart of Upper Sandusky, this place is a true culinary gem.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, with exciting artwork sprinkled throughout, which added to the overall charm.

But the real show-stopper of the evening was the food.

We started with the bruschetta - simply divine with a honey vinaigrette I'm still dreaming about.

Then, we ordered the linguini and capellini for the main course – both were phenomenal, but the linguini was, without a doubt, the show's star.

It was hands down the most authentic pasta dish I've ever had.

We also tried one of their pizzas with house-made sausage, a surefire hit with the group!

We even had a stromboli, and it was just as fantastic.

I savored every bite of the Philly pizza with jalapeños on a different visit.

The bread served was also fresh and warm, accompanied by delectable garlic butter.

We finished off two whole baskets!

So, if you're looking for a place that offers excellent food, a comfortable ambiance, and exceptional service, Don Tomasso's Italian Kitchen is the place to go.

This one-of-a-kind spot is a testament to the passion and dedication of Chef Tom and his team.

I can't wait to visit again!

Great Dragon Chinese Restaurant

Now and then, I love to indulge my palate with exotic Asian cuisine.

And when I'm in the mood for some delicious Chinese food, there's no better place to go than the Great Dragon Chinese Restaurant in our town.

My first ever dish here was the General Tso’s.

The swells of flavors brought memories of authentic Chinese food I had tasted during my travels.

Also, the hot and fresh eggroll that accompanied the dish from the kitchen was nothing short of perfection.

Looking around at my table mates, I noticed some feasting on the egg foo yong.

It looked incredibly flavorful, thick, and fresh, and judging by the satisfied expressions on their faces, it was clear they were enjoying it immensely.

The Great Dragon Chinese Restaurant has become my go-to spot, especially when I feel a little daring and crave some heat.

They understand spice like no one else.

Ask for spice, and they'll knock it out of the park.

The Lo Mien is outstanding, with its perfect balance of flavors and spices.
