I was pleasantly surprised to come across this place.
Their food court made my day, and let me tell you why.
As a vegetarian, finding something delicious and satisfying is not always simple.
But at Baba's Halal, they've got Veggie Samosas that are out of this world!
They give you samples to try before you decide on your meal.
I found this to be a fantastic gesture.
I mean, who wouldn't want to try before buying?
Those samples were so tasty that I got hooked immediately.
And let's talk about their portions and prices!
They serve a massive amount of food for a reasonable price.
The lamb and chicken were fantastic, packed with flavor, and perfectly cooked.
But it doesn't stop there - their cumin rice and lamb combination is something to write home about.
The Baba Halal platter is the best deal at the mall; it's a generous portion perfect for sharing.
I remember I had my 5-year-old with me, and we were completely satisfied sharing just one platter.
Oh, and their soda prices are also quite fair.
All in all, I have to say, Baba’s Halal is my new favorite go-to place when it comes to mall food courts.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's definitely a place worth visiting.
KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot
One of my go-to places for a good meal in Towson is the KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot.
This location is my favorite, even better than their branch in Catonsville.
The food is always great, and notably, the quality of the meat is superior.
Everything is tender and fresh, and I've noticed they have more food options at this location.
One thing I particularly appreciate is their exhaust smoke pipe, which adds to the authenticity of the Korean barbecue experience.
The service is also fast and convenient; we can order directly from a tablet.
Regarding my favorites, I strongly recommend the KPOT pork belly, prime rib meat, and spicy squid.
The dipping sauce station also deserves special mention.
So many options enhance the meat's flavor, and they also have various condiments and fried food options.
The ambiance of KPOT is warm and welcoming.
A word of advice to those planning to visit - arrange for paid parking ahead of time to avoid the hassle of finding one.
I can confidently say that KPOT is worth visiting, and I can't wait to return.
Towson Mediterranean Grill
I stumbled upon the Towson Mediterranean Grill while exploring the town, and boy, was it a delightful discovery.
The food was cooked to perfection and had a homemade feel to it.
I remember the Pastitsio being so rich and creamy it practically melted in my mouth.
And the Spinach Pie was flaky, stuffed with a comforting filling of spinach and feta cheese.
On another visit, I decided to try their Chicken souvlaki platter, lamb gyro, and grilled cheese were all on the menu.
Each bite was a burst of fresh and tasty Mediterranean flavors.
However, the star of the show has to be the spanakopita.
It was my first time trying it, and based on the rave reviews, I decided to give it a shot.
It was amazing.
I could've eaten a whole one, but the mini was a perfect addition to the chicken souvlaki platter.
The chicken and veggies were seasoned well; this was the best tzatziki I’ve ever had.
The portions were huge, which meant another delicious meal for me later.

As I walk down the street towards the unassuming façade of this deli and shop, I can already smell the inviting aroma of Italian cuisine that never fails to tug on my senses.
From the moment I step through the door, I am transported to a cozy Italian setting.
The ambiance, with warm lighting and inviting displays of Italian groceries, instantly makes me feel at home.
I must tell you, I am a bit of a sandwich enthusiast, and Pastore's never disappoints.
Their sandwiches are always perfect—generously filled, balanced in flavor, and served with love.
Every time I visit, I am torn between choosing my regular—the classic meatball sub–or trying something new from their extensive menu.
But trust me, their meatball sub is a masterpiece in its own right: large, succulent meatballs smothered in a delectable sauce, all tucked inside a fresh, comforting bread.
Apart from the mouthwatering sandwiches, Pastore's also offers jumbo subs and other kitchen items.
I often find myself picking up some cold cuts for friends, who are equally enamored by the quality and taste of the food.
Pastore's Italian Delly is more than just a deli.
It's a delightful experience steeped in authentic Italian culture in our town, where you feel a sense of familiarity, even if it's your first visit.

Ah, the many times I’ve visited Akira Ramen Towson, a charming spot tucked away in my town.
As a vegetarian, I adore how much variety they offer.
The ramen bowls are consistently delightful and packed with flavor.
I can never resist snapping a picture, even though I always wish I had waited longer to capture the dish in all its glory!
And while the ramen is the main attraction, the decor has its inviting charm.
It's tastefully done, with an attractive blend of modern and traditional elements.
A unique aspect of Akira Ramen Towson is its tech-savvy approach to service.
This intriguing robotic cat waiter delivers your order right to your table!
Now, you must try their oyster balls!
They're pretty attractive dishes with a strong fishy smell.
I'm still figuring out my feelings toward them, but they are conversation starters!

Red Pepper Bistro
If you're around Baltimore and craving Szechuan food, you might want to check out Red Pepper Sichuan Bistro.
It's a relaxed BYOB spot serving various dishes, from seafood and noodle dishes to hearty soups.
The place has a nice decoration and is clean, often lively on weekends, making for a great ambiance.
As for the service, in my experience, it's been friendly and generally efficient.
They sometimes sit you with a larger group at a slightly crowded table if they have a busy night, but setting up a reservation is usually pretty easy.

The Green beans are an absolute delight, cooked in a way that feels unique and better than in other places.

And if you're a vegetarian, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety in the entrées and appetizers.
I must mention the saffron ice cream I once had for dessert – the perfect end to an excellent meal.
Despite being an hour away from where I live, I can confidently say that the trip to Orchard Market & Café is always worth it.
It is indeed a hidden gem in Towson, a place that leaves your stomach full and your heart content.
Halal Boys Towson
I am lucky to have a place like Halal Boys Towson in town.
The first time I tasted their food, I ordered lamb on rice with white sauce and extra hot sauce, which was a culinary delight.
It was chilly outside, but I didn't mind because the delicious, quality food warmed me.
Trust me when I say it was one of the best $10 I've ever spent on food; for one thing, the portion was enormous and delicious.
Just a heads-up, it's a cash-only spot, but there's a PNC bank with an ATM nearby.
And trust me, it's worth every penny!
Banditos Tacos & Tequila
One of the great joys of living in Towson is the vibrant food and drink scene.
One of my favorite hangouts is Banditos Tacos & Tequila.
There's something about the air of the place that draws you in.
Every Taco Tuesday, I find myself drawn to Banditos due to their exceptional Mexican beer and tempting taco specials.
If you're not driving, it's worth exploring.
The decor at Banditos is a sight to behold in itself.
The splashes of pink and the unique art inside and outside the building create a lively and inviting ambiance.
It's hard not to fall in love with this place each time I visit.
The food, of course, matches the ambiance.
From the variety of tacos to the mouthwatering empanadas, there's always something new to delight my palate.
And if you're a seafood lover, the Bam Bam shrimp is a must-try.
The prices are reasonable, too, with most items ranging from $4. 50 to $13.
You can also have a little fun on Wednesday nights with their house-special margaritas.
Banditos Tacos & Tequila is more than just a restaurant.
It's a vibrant hub for the college crowd and locals alike.
It's where you're guaranteed a good time, great food, and excellent service.
I can't wait for my next visit!
FOD Poke Bar
I've become quite the regular at the FOD Poke Bar.
The first time I went there, I decided to give their poke bowl a shot.
At $19 a bowl, it seemed like a reasonable price.
And it was, and I've returned a few times and found that their poke bowls could be pretty tasty.
They always taste fresh, and each ingredient has a distinct flavor that adds to the overall experience.
I particularly enjoy the three-scoop bowl, which provides decent value.
Apart from the poke bowls, I'd highly recommend steamed buns and bubble drinks.
They are delicious!
After a few visits, FOD Poke Bar has grown on me, and I look forward to my next visit.

Once, after a refreshing day of swimming at Loyola University Maryland, Fitness and Aquatic Center, my friends and I decided to drop by Clark Burger.
We ordered various burgers - the Expo, Turkey, and the delightful Wake N Bacon Burger.
A generous serving of fries accompanied these hearty burgers.
We also shared a serving of their Classique Poutine.
If you've never had poutine before, this is a must-try!
But what takes the cake is their shakes.
Get a chocolate milkshake or even a boozy shake for the perfect accompaniment to your meal.
There's such a relaxed, no-frills vibe here that it's easy to find yourself returning for more.
It's a place where you can enjoy great food and good company, and I can't wait to try some more items off their menu.
After all, it's always a delightful experience at Clark Burger York Rd.
Ethel's Creole Kitchen (Baltimore)
One of the perks of living in Maryland is the food.
And when it comes to Creole cuisine, I've yet to find a place that beats Ethel's Creole Kitchen, located in Baltimore.
I consider myself quite the foodie, and I've had my fair share of gumbo, crab cakes, and shrimp boats.
But, hands down, Ethel serves up the best of them all.
It's not just the food that makes Ethel's stand out.
The atmosphere is unique, with its funky bi-level eatery, balcony dining area, and bar.
It's small, but it's also cozy and intimate - the perfect setting for eating food that warms your soul.
Every visit to Ethel's is a delight for the senses, starting with the scallion butter on their delectable cornbread.
It's an unexpected yet brilliant touch that elevates the humble bread to another level.
The gumbo, packed with a generous amount of seafood, is as authentic as it gets.
Meanwhile, the jambalaya, teeming with meat, is hearty and satisfying.
And the Creole Shrimp Boat?
An explosion of flavor with every bite.
In terms of value, Ethel's doesn't disappoint either.
The prices are fair, given the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions.
And because the food is not overly seasoned, you get to appreciate the fresh, authentic flavors of Creole cooking.
When the evenings get chilly, there's nothing like tucking into a comforting bowl of gumbo or jambalaya at Ethel's.
It's a slice of Louisiana right here in Maryland, and for a local like me, it's the ideal place to get a Creole fix.
Villagio Cafe (Baltimore)
If you are in town, you must stop by Villagio Cafe.
I have been to this laid-back nook numerous times, and it continues to impress every single time.
The fact that it's BYOB is another perk.
The food, primarily halal Persian dishes, is reasonably priced and more than just decent - it's incredible.
Everything comes out hot and delicious, from juicy kebabs to mouthwatering desserts.
Moreover, they serve it family-style, perfect for gatherings or a fun date night.
The Lamb Koobideh and homemade Persian saffron ice cream are personal favorites of mine.
I challenge you to try the saffron ice cream and not fall in love with it!
And just a word of advice - don’t get deceived by the quaint storefront backdrop of this place; the portions they serve are huge.
So whether you're in casual attire or coming straight from work, Villagio Cafe makes you feel comfortable and welcome.
With its relaxed ambiance, delicious food, and warm service, this place has earned a particular spot on my favorites list.
Namaste, Baltimore (Baltimore)
I've lived in Maryland for years and have seen many restaurants come and go.
But one that's managed to carve a special place in my heart is Namaste Baltimore, a casual and soothing Indian restaurant.
This place is a hidden gem that serves delightful Indian cuisine.
The first thing that struck me about Namaste Baltimore was the ambiance, beautifully adorned with a unique Indo-Nepalese theme, incorporating various pictures, lights, and decor.
The attention to detail in this space did not go unnoticed and significantly enhanced the overall dining experience.
The food, however, was what indeed won me over!
Some of the standout favorites were the chicken biryani and the veg noodles.
The flavors were refined, and every dish had a tantalizing distinct taste.
The butter naan and garlic naan are a must-try, and the mango kulfi is a perfect sweet end to the meal.
I've been back a few times since my first visit, and the food has remained consistently impressive each time.
The quality of the food and the delightful experience it provides has made Namaste Baltimore my favorite Indian restaurant in the city.

Accents Grill (Baltimore)
Oh, the experiences I've had at Accents Grill!
An all-kosher restaurant tucked inside a shopping center, it offers a variety of tasty dishes ranging from burgers and salads to sushi.
They also have an impressive selection of beer and wine.
Also, their chicken soup was delicious, packed with large chunks of chicken, carrots, and onions.
My salad was also pretty good, providing some balance to the meal.
Now, let me tell you, when Accents Grill hits the mark, it does so spectacularly.
Their Kentucky Bourbon Burger, Portuguese Chicken, and Rice Bowl are to die for.
These dishes are a must-try and juicy, flavorful, and served in hearty portions.
The bbq sauce, grilled onions on the burger, and the chicken bowl's freshness have me returning for more.
If you're in town and keep kosher (or even if you don't), I highly recommend a meal at Accents Grill.
Trust me. You won't be disappointed!
Swallow at the Hollow (Baltimore)
I've lived in Baltimore for years, and Swallow at the Hollow has become my go-to spot whenever I need a night out.
It doesn't matter what day of the week it is. There's always something going on at Swallow.
Remarkably, every Wednesday's half-price burger night never fails to draw in a lively crowd.
Swallow is not some fancy, overpriced bar; it's a simple, unpretentious tavern where people come to enjoy good food, good company, and good times.
The ghost-pepper wings and the crab cakes are legendary here.
And let me tell you, these aren't your average pub food.
They're the kind that makes you crave long after you've finished the last bite.
What I love about Swallow is not just the food. It's the overall vibe of the place.
The volume of the music is always just right – loud enough to enjoy but not too loud that you can't have a conversation.
In many ways, you could say Swallow is Baltimore's version of Cheers – a place where everyone knows your name.
The best part is it's always buzzing with people.
You could walk in alone and make friends by the time you leave.
It's not just a bar. It's a community.
And I wouldn't trade it for any other place in Baltimore.
Woodrow's Bar-B-Que (Baltimore)
One of my biggest everyday joys is the beautiful, homey aroma from Woodrow's Bar-B-Que.
It's a small, unassuming establishment boasting limited indoor tables and a few open-air dining benches.
Now let's talk about their food.
Their half-portion wings are a delight, juicy and succulent, but the show's real star is the Woodrow sandwich.
This hearty treat, packed with brisket chunks, is smothered in a sauce that keeps the meat moist and flavorful.
The pulled pork sandwich is a symphony of flavors, juicy and lean, with a smoky taste that's pure bliss.
Meanwhile, the chicken is a hit in my book, perfectly cooked and seasoned.

One of the things that always impresses me about Chiyo Sushi is the portion size - it's so generous!
And the prices, they're pretty reasonable too.
Every time, one of the highlights for me is the avocado - it's always ripe and creamy, adding a wonderful texture to the sushi.
During one of my visits, I decided to try their gyoza.
While it was a little too crispy for my liking, it didn't overshadow the overall experience.
What I love about Chiyo Sushi is not just the food but the ambiance too.
There's this quiet upper level that makes for a relaxed dining experience.
