The pizza, though, has to be my favorite thing on the menu.

The crust is absolute perfection – not too thick, not too thin, just the way Italians did it back in the day.

It's the type of crust you fold to eat it!

Taqueria Los Agaves

Finding a good, authentic Mexican restaurant nearby was always a challenge.

I recently went to Taylor's Kitchen for a late breakfast with a group of friends, and it turned out to be quite a pleasant experience.

Our order got mixed up a bit, but the food was really good.

The place is surprisingly large, clean, and has a nice feel to it.

The Thai Iced Tea was hands down the best I've had in the area.

Vic's Casual Dining (Southgate)

I hadn't visited Vic's Casual Dining since before the pandemic, and I must say, I've truly missed this Italian gem in our neighborhood.

The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm and cozy ambiance that never fails to make me feel at home.

I decided to go with their lasagna, and oh boy, was it worth it!

The dish was bursting with flavor and filling and was simply made to perfection.

Of course, I couldn't resist the temptation of their lemon cake, which turned out to be lighter than air and the perfect way to end my meal.

The full bar never disappoints with its variety of drinks to choose from, making the entire dining experience one for the books.

Hungarian Rhapsody Restaurant (Southgate)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hungarian Rhapsody Restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible experience.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine sense of hospitality.

As I settled into my seat, I noticed a charming gentleman in a suit making his rounds to each table, ensuring that all the guests were feeling valued and enjoying their time.

For my meal, I decided to try the Corn Chowder soup, which was absolutely fantastic.

I couldn't resist ordering the combination platter, as it offered a taste of various Hungarian dishes, including breaded pork chop, stuffed cabbage, and paprika chicken.

Each dish was bursting with flavor and authenticity, and I found myself savoring every last bite.

I've also attended a small wedding reception held in their private room, which accommodated around 30 people.

The food served during the reception was easily the best wedding food I've ever had, and the happy couple, along with their guests, were all thoroughly impressed.

Dexter's Grill (Southgate)

I've been hearing a lot of good things about this place, so I finally decided to give it a try.

I must say, I was not disappointed!

They were more than happy to take my order and answer any questions I had about the menu.

I decided to go for their famous burger, and boy were my taste buds in for a treat!

The burger was perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

The bacon on top was thick and cooked just right, and the fries were hot and crispy.

The double burger I ordered was massive but stacked in such a way that it was easy to eat without making a mess.

They also have some great deals, like 75-cent wings on Tuesdays and soul food on Wednesdays.

Moro's Dining (Allen Park)

Moro's Dining is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to.

The place is well-known for its classic Italian dishes and flaming desserts, and trust me, they live up to the hype.

The salad was followed by a savory soup, which was absolutely delicious.

For the main course, I decided to go with their veal cutlet Maison, and I was blown away by how tender and flavorful it was.

But the highlight of the evening was definitely the flaming dessert!

We ordered their famous cherries jubilee, and it was prepared right at our table, adding a touch of excitement to our dining experience.

The dessert was not only a feast for the eyes but also a delightful treat for our taste buds.

Galindo's (Wyandotte)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Galindo's A Taste of Mexico, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience!

After hearing about this place from a close friend, I couldn't resist taking a trip to Downriver and giving it a try.

The restaurant's easygoing and relaxed atmosphere provided the perfect setting for enjoying their authentic Mexican street food.

The Appetizer Queso Birria Pizza was absolutely incredible - huge, juicy, and worth every penny.

I also tried their famous Torta, specifically the Cuban sandwich, which was flavor-packed, meaty, and well worth its price.

Perhaps the most memorable aspect of my dining experience at Galindo's was their Consummé - rich, meaty, perfectly seasoned, and boasting a deep beefy flavor that you just can't resist.
