Tea Time Parlor

One weekend, my friends and I decided to try something different for brunch and stumbled upon Tea Time Parlor in our neighborhood.

As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by the beautiful floral china - it was just the aesthetic we were looking for!

We indulged in a variety of delicious foods such as quiche, soup, and finger sandwiches, all beautifully presented on tiered trays.

The scones with clotted cream were a personal favorite of mine!

And, of course, we couldn't leave without trying their tea selection.

I'm not much of a tea drinker, but their French Caramel Crème Brulee Black Tea was a game changer - it was sweet, light, and the perfect accompaniment to our meal.

Louie K Subs / Club Sandwich

I can't believe it took me 23 years to stumble upon Louie K Subs / Club Sandwich, despite it being near my workplace for so long.

One day, I was really craving a tuna melt and found this hidden gem through a quick Google search.

My only regret is not trying them sooner!

The tuna melt on garlic bread was worth every bite!

The bread was fresh, fluffy, and had just the right amount of garlic flavor to enhance, but not overpower, the sandwich.

I appreciated the attention to detail in that aspect.

The menu had a variety of options, and I look forward to trying more of their delicious creations.

Service was top-notch, with Louie himself answering all my questions and being very professional.

The shop itself is a clean and welcoming space with a charming purple theme, although it's worth mentioning that it's take-out only and doesn't have a restroom.

I don't usually write reviews, but Louie K Subs / Club Sandwich truly deserves one.

The quality of their subs, coupled with great music playing in the background, has made me a repeat customer.

Since discovering this spot, I've tried the triple turkey and tuna subs, and I have to say, their tuna sub is easily the best I've ever had.

Grab a sub card – you'll definitely be back!

One Lebanese Cuisine

One of my go-to spots for a delicious meal is One Lebanese Cuisine.

They even offer live entertainment, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

The food is authentic and full of flavor, making it hard to choose a favorite dish.

The ambiance is great, too – casual and sophisticated at the same time.

As someone who has tried many restaurants in the area, One Lebanese Cuisine remains my top choice.

Chef Rose Jamaican Cuisine

One of my favorite spots in town is Chef Rose Jamaican Cuisine, where they serve up organic Jamaican specialties, including veggie and vegan options.

This unpretentious takeaway place always hits the spot when I'm craving some delicious Caribbean cuisine.

The oxtail dish is one of their best.

It's so good that I always order the large portion, and it comes with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains.

The flavors are just out of this world!

What I particularly love about Chef Rose is that each dish is made to order, so it's always hot and fresh when I pick it up.

I usually call ahead to place my order to avoid the wait but trust me, it's totally worth it, even if you do have to wait for a bit.

Another must-try dish is their jerk chicken, which is smokey and filled with spices.

It's absolutely mouthwatering, especially when paired with a cold sorrel ginger drink.

And for my vegan friends, the firm tofu & Ackee with Callaloo meal is fantastic.

It's vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free, and you can even customize it to suit your preferences or accommodate any allergies.

It's evident that they take great pride in their dishes and genuinely care about their customers.

Their menu is as impressive as their service, offering an array of delicious dishes that never disappoint.

I've had the pleasure of trying several of their offerings, but their ceviche remains a standout favorite of mine.

The fish soup is another crowd-pleaser, and their appetizers are always perfectly prepared.

Their fresh-squeezed lemonade is the perfect accompaniment to any meal, making it hard not to keep coming back for more.

I remember when my friend and I were craving some good Greek food and decided to give this place a try.

We were not disappointed!

Their food truly is nothing short of amazing.

The Big Boy Platter we ordered that day, which consists of pork, chicken, and beef kebabs, left us full and satisfied.

The pork kebab was my favorite - it was so tasty!

And let me tell you about the sweet potato fries: they were the crispiest sweet potato fries I've ever eaten.

What I love most about this informal eatery is its cozy, mom-and-pop vibes.

The food at Jin Sushi has always been consistently great, with excellent quality and a wide variety of inventive rolls, Japanese dinner entrees, and lunch specials.

Whenever my friends visit me from Miami or Palm Beach County, they always request to dine at this spot.

One of my favorite rolls to order is the Supreme Dynamite Roll.

Chelly's Jamaican Restaurant

One of my go-to spots for Jamaican cuisine in the neighborhood is Chelly's Jamaican Restaurant.

I absolutely love the casual atmosphere, with its bright walls and bar tables, making it a perfect place to grab a quick, delicious meal.

The last time I visited, I ordered the curry goat and soup.

While I personally wouldn't reorder the curry goat, it wasn't bad, and I've heard great things about their other dishes as well.

During a previous lunch visit, I tried the brown stew chicken – it was sweet but very moist, and the rice and peas were pretty good as well.

I also enjoyed the crunchy and flavorful vegetables that accompanied the dish.

Kings Head British Pub Sunrise

One of my favorite spots to grab a pint and enjoy some classic British grub is the Kings Head British Pub Sunrise.

Located in a strip mall, this cozy Tudor-style pub offers the ambiance of a traditional British pub with a variety of amusing artifacts like photos of famous British celebrities.

Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by the joyful banter of the regulars, making it a welcoming and friendly environment.

I love their hand-cut chips, which are not exactly like what you'd find in a pub in England, but I enjoy the local twist.

They also have a great selection of imports and local beverages to choose from.

I usually go there to watch the football games, and even though the games can sometimes be a disappointment, the atmosphere at Kings Head makes up for it.

Their food is always impressive, with dishes like the sausage roll, which has a golden crispy pastry on the outside and a rich sausage flavor in the middle.

Another favorite of mine is the steak and ale pot pie - it's absolutely delicious and a must-try.

They also serve a fantastic full English breakfast, which is super filling and pairs perfectly with their wide selection of beers.

Sunrise Pita & Grill

I have been visiting Sunrise Pita & Grill for years now, and it has always been a consistently satisfying experience.

The food is always fresh, and the Mid-Eastern sandwiches filled with falafel, shawarma, and kebabs are just delicious.

Although the decor might not be anything fancy, it doesn't matter much to me as the food is the main attraction here.

Plus, it's a kosher kitchen, so I never have to worry about dairy ingredients in my meals, and I know I'm getting the best quality meats.

One of my favorite dishes to order is the Shawarma Baguette.

The meat is tender and full of flavor, making it a must-try!

I have also tried the Sunrise Pita and Grilled Chicken Pita, both of which were prepared correctly, tasted great, and left me satisfied.

This cozy strip-mall jazz bar and restaurant has become my go-to place for a night of incredible live music and delicious food.

The moment you step inside, you're welcomed by the warm family atmosphere.

One of the things I love about All That Jazz is that most of the crowd are regulars, so you're always bound to run into familiar faces or even make some new friends.

The live jazz music is phenomenal - the guest sax player and the house band always know how to get the crowd going.

But what really surprised me was how great the food is.

The menu offers an interesting Italian/creole fusion which I haven't found anywhere else.

I usually create my own pasta, adding chicken and shrimp in a tasty vodka-tomato cream sauce.

And don't even get me started on their garlic bread with pesto and mozzarella cheese - it's to die for!

The wings with a side order of their French fries were also fantastic.

The sauce on the wings was delicious, and the grio, along with a side order of fried plantains, was cooked to perfection.

The fried plantains were seasoned beautifully, and I can see why it's called El Boom now!

I can't say enough good things about Country Walk Takeout Inc.

I've been going there for years now, and I must admit that their breakfast offerings are top-notch.

They're consistently delicious and satisfying, making it a great way to start my day.

The ackee and saltfish, for example, is a personal favorite of mine.

It's so flavorful and well-prepared that I can't help but crave it every now and then.

Their fried dumplings are also brilliant, as are their massive (albeit greasy) fritters.

And let me tell you, their various porridges are just perfect - not too sweet, not too thick, and not runny.

As a breakfast lover, it's such a joy to have this place right in my neighborhood.
