As someone who calls this town home, I've had the pleasure of exploring the diverse and delicious dining options that the city has to offer.
From mouth-watering BBQ joints to authentic Mexican cuisine, there's a little something for every palate in Spring.
Get ready to take your taste buds on an unforgettable journey!
Just the other day, I decided to head over to CorkScrew BBQ for lunch, and I must say, I was not disappointed.
Seating was at semi-covered picnic tables, adding to the fun and casual vibe of the place.
As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular.
I ordered the 1/2 lb brisket plate, which I believe is the best brisket I've ever tasted.
The jalapeño and cheese sausage was a delightful addition to the meal.
Accompanying these mouthwatering meats were some incredible beans and potatoes, making the meal even more satisfying.
And, of course, I couldn't resist trying the peach cobbler for dessert, which was absolutely to die for!
Oh, and I must mention the brisket house tacos - they were out of this world!
I'm usually not one to indulge in large portions, but I couldn't help myself with these tacos.
The sweet and spicy coleslaw was the perfect accompaniment, and the fresh jalapeños added that extra kick that elevated the entire dish.
Crust Pizza Co. - Rayford
One of my favorite places to grab a pizza in town is definitely Crust Pizza Co. - Rayford.
Their pizzas are carefully produced with natural and organic ingredients, making them not only tasty but also a healthier option.
Each bite is packed with amazing flavors that make my taste buds dance with joy.
The atmosphere at Crust Pizza Co. is inviting and casual, with comfortable seating that makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.
What I particularly appreciate about this restaurant is how they cater to families with kids.
They have a fun and interactive menu designed to please children's taste buds, making it an ideal choice for a family night out.
Aside from their delicious pizzas, they also offer calzones, pasta, subs, and salads, giving a wide range of options to choose from.
And if you're a fan of hot sauces, you'd be delighted to know that they carry some local hot sauces that are definitely worth trying.
I had the pleasure of dining at Fu Manchung last week, and I can safely say that it's one of my new favorite spots in the Houston area.
I couldn't resist starting my meal with their famous Flying Rolls, which were absolutely mouthwatering and paired perfectly with the iced coffee I ordered.
For my main course, I went with their Pho, specifically the P5 with pork and shrimp dumplings.
The no msg beef bone broth was incredibly flavorful, and I appreciated the option to add a little extra chili sauce for some extra kick.
In addition to the amazing food, the service at Fu Manchung was top-notch.
Julio's Mexican Grill
I recently visited Julio's Mexican Grill for dinner with my family, and I couldn't be happier with our experience.
As soon as we walked in, the spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated interior gave off a warm and welcoming vibe.
We started our meal with the shrimp stuffed jalapeños as an appetizer, which was truly delicious.
My partner tried their fish tacos and declared them the best in the area.
I personally chose the verde enchiladas and couldn't get enough of the mouthwatering flavor.
To top it all off, their margaritas were fantastic, and, as a bonus, they were being offered for free while the restaurant was waiting for their liquor license.
OlaTee African Cafe
I've always loved trying out different cuisines, and when I discovered OlaTee African Cafe in Spring, Texas, I knew I had found something special.
This cozy little restaurant has quickly become my go-to spot for delicious African dishes and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The menu offers a variety of cost-friendly options, so I decided to try the okra stew, while my friends opted for the jollof rice and egusi.
The flavors were amazing, and we couldn't help but share our dishes with each other to get a taste of everything.
We were all impressed by not only the quality of the food but also the timely service.
OlaTee African Cafe also offers meal prep options for takeout, which is a fantastic option when I'm craving their delicious food but want to enjoy it in the comfort of my own home.
Plus, they even offer delivery services for those days when leaving the house just isn't in the cards.
Since my first visit, I've become a regular at OlaTee, and every time I dine there or order takeout, I'm reminded of why it has become one of my favorite spots in town.
Woodson's Local Tap + Kitchen Grand Parkway
I have been to Woodson's Local Tap + Kitchen Grand Parkway a few times and have had some mixed experiences.
The atmosphere is great, especially when you sit out on the patio and catch a game on the TVs.
I have tried a variety of dishes like the strawberry salad, the wedge, and their pasta which were all pretty good.
The chile con queso and chips are definitely a must-try appetizer.
As someone who lives nearby, I can confidently say that Island Grill is one of my favorite spots to grab a quick and healthy meal.
The moment you walk into the restaurant, you can sense the welcoming atmosphere with its clean and modern design.
I love their fresh and fluffy pita bread, and I can't get enough of their gyro, with its tender and well-seasoned meat paired with crisp, fresh vegetables.
The falafel is another must-try dish that never disappoints.
Sometimes, when I'm dining with my family, my son would order the wood-fired pizza, which he absolutely enjoys every bite of.
The Mediterranean Plate is another one of my go-to dishes, with each ingredient tasting fresh and well-prepared.
I also appreciate the wide variety of salads they offer, like the house salad and Greek salad, with their delicious balsamic vinegar dressing.
And you can't miss out on their dessert bar with yogurt ice cream cones – it's complimentary!
Rock 'n Roll Sushi Spring
One of my favorite places to grab a bite is Rock 'n Roll Sushi Spring.
Not only is the food exceptional, but the atmosphere is perfect for a music lover like me.
The restaurant is always clean and presentable, which is a significant plus in my book.
I've never experienced better service at any other restaurant.
My go-to meal there is the VIP Roll, and I usually start with their delicious Dumplings as an appetizer.
Even though I usually dine in, I have to mention that their takeout service is just as impressive.
I can't wait to give them another star when I decide to dine in again.
I recently visited 5.ATE Café, which I discovered through their website.
I was pleasantly surprised by this simple yet cozy cafe that serves American fare such as hamburgers and pizza.
What's interesting is that it's located right next to an indoor rock-climbing wall, making it a perfect spot to grab a bite after working up an appetite.
Although it might get a bit crowded during their busy hours, I didn't have any trouble finding a seat.
The pricing was reasonable, and I opted for the Swarms Burger, which came with feta, banana peppers, and tzaki sauce.
While the burger presentation was impressive, I felt that it could have had a bit more flavor.
The garlic fries were alright but a tad oily for my taste.
That being said, I heard great things about their Farmhouse Burger, which seems to be a crowd favorite, so I'll definitely give that a try when I go back.
My visit to 5.ATE Café was also elevated by the delicious latte I had, which was clearly made with care and attention to detail.
La Canoa Seafood Restaurant
I have to say La Canoa Seafood Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in our neighborhood.
My friends and I decided to give it a try one evening, and it did not disappoint!
The food was absolutely delicious - definitely a step above those big chain seafood restaurants.
I ordered the salmon entree, and it was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning.
The sides of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies were also tasty.
She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted.
On top of the great food and service, the atmosphere was lively and fun during their karaoke night!
My family and I enjoyed La Canoa so much that we ordered from them again the very next day.
Wunsche Bros. Cafe & Saloon
I can't help but rave about my experiences at Wunsche Bros. Cafe & Saloon.
This historic eatery, dating back to 1902, has become one of my go-to spots for grabbing a bite to eat or catching up with friends over drinks.
As someone who lives in the area, I'm always on the lookout for unique places to dine, and Wunsche Bros. definitely delivers with its allegedly haunted atmosphere and delicious American fare with a Texas accent.
The food here is consistently great, with generous portions that never leave you feeling hungry.
Some of my personal favorites are the meatloaf, grilled chicken salad, and of course, their mouthwatering cheeseburgers.
The full bar at Wunsche Bros. is a major draw for me as well.
They have a fantastic variety of drinks, and the bartenders are always willing to whip up something special if you're in the mood for a custom cocktail.
Plus, with their weekly deals and both indoor and outdoor seating, there's always a reason to come back for more.
For those interested in the haunted history of Wunsche Bros., don't hesitate to ask the employees about the Wunsche family and the stories surrounding the building.
I've heard some fascinating tales during my visits, and it only adds to the unique charm of this Old Town Spring gem.
And, if you're anything like me, you won't want to leave without trying their key lime pie - it's seriously the best I've ever had!
Nik's Steak & Seafood Restaurant
As a resident of the area, I've visited a number of local restaurants, and I have to say that I have had quite a pleasant experience at Nik's Steak & Seafood Restaurant.
Despite the small size of the restaurant, it has a cozy atmosphere with a few booths and offers a good range of steak and seafood dishes.
I have tried various dishes on their menu, and my personal favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak, which is always served hot and fresh.
I also enjoyed their grilled chicken, salad, and baked potato sides which were equally delicious.
Taste of Pho
As someone who appreciates a good bowl of pho, I have to say that my experience at Taste of Pho was quite memorable.
I decided to try this place after hearing mixed reviews from friends and wanted to see for myself how their pho measures up to other local spots.
I ordered the P3, and the broth was absolutely delicious and made up for it.
The freshness and authentic flavors really stood out, making it a satisfying meal.
One thing to note is that the serving sizes at Taste of Pho are quite generous, so if you're unsure whether to order a large or regular size, keep in mind that even the regular size is pretty filling.
The Republic Grille
I recently decided to take my sister out for dinner, and we ended up at The Republic Grille, a place I had never been to before.
Much to my delight, the food was outstanding!
I tried some items I wouldn't normally order, like green beans and fish, and I was blown away by how delicious everything was.
The green beans were honestly some of the best I've ever had, and the fish was cooked to perfection.
My sister and I also shared some appetizers, like mac and cheese bites and spinach and artichoke dip, which were both fantastic.
To top it off, I ordered a strawberry lemon drop cocktail, and it was such a delightful and refreshing drink!
The atmosphere of The Republic Grille was modern and lively, with pictures of celebrities adorning the walls.
I celebrated a friend's birthday there recently, and the experience was just as fantastic.
The food was beautifully plated and incredibly tasty.
I recently decided to try out Bread Zeppelin for the first time, and I must say, I'm impressed!
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a bright, clean, and welcoming atmosphere with modern decor.
The menu was extensive, offering a variety of options for soup, salads, and their signature Zeppelins.
I ended up ordering the "Create Your Own w/ Shrimp" and the "Washington State" Zeppelin, both of which tasted fantastic.
To top it off, I tried their unique Pink Guava lemonade, which was a refreshing and delightful addition to my meal.
One of the things that really stood out to me was the bread salad concept.
They hollow out the bread and fill it with your chosen salad, creating a delicious and unique eating experience.
If you prefer a traditional salad bowl, they offer that option as well.
I'm already excited for my next visit to Bread Zeppelin, and if you haven't been there yet, you're definitely missing out on a tasty experience!
One day, I found myself craving some pho and decided to check out Pho Now since I had heard good things about it.
I went there and ordered fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and the P7 (pho with beef brisket and other beef slices), which was delicious.
The broth tasted authentic, and the meat was tender and flavorful.
The spring rolls were fresh, and the peanut sauce had just the right amount of sweetness.
He was attentive and made sure the tables around the restaurant were clean and prepped for other customers.
It's worth noting that the restaurant is on the smaller side, so finding seating during peak hours may be a challenge.
I spent about $16 on my meal, which I found to be reasonably priced.
Let me tell you about my favorite taco place in town - Arturo's Taqueria.
I've been going there for years, and it never disappoints.
It's a little hole-in-the-wall gem tucked away in a quiet corner.
Trust me, the moment you step in, you'll feel like you've been transported straight to Mexico.
Here's their location, in case you want to check it out.
My go-to dish at Arturo's has always been their breakfast tacos.
The barbacoa is succulent, and the flour tortillas are simply amazing.
Every time I eat here, I'm reminded of my grandma's home cooking.
The red sauce they serve with the tacos packs a flavorful punch, and I highly recommend trying the pastor and fajita beef tacos on flour with cilantro and onion.
The service at Arturo's Taqueria is always top-notch.
Plane & Level
I've been hearing great things about Plane & Level from friends and family, so I decided to check it out for myself.
My experience did not disappoint!
The wine and food selections were nothing short of excellent.
The ambiance was perfect for catching up with friends, and the welcoming music created a cozy atmosphere for a night out.
While the portion sizes were a bit smaller than I would have liked, the tapas concept kept things interesting and allowed my group to sample several dishes.
One thing that particularly stood out to me was the variety of events and experiences Plane & Level offers.
Adriatic Cafe Italian Grill
As someone who lives nearby, I recently dined at Adriatic Cafe Italian Grill in Spring and had a fantastic experience.
This Italian restaurant has been a favorite of mine for a while, but this time, I decided to try their pizza for the first time.
I ordered a personal pepperoni and chicken pizza, which was very tasty.
The cheese was well melted, and the crust was crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside.
We also ordered Chicken Parmesan Pasta, which turned out to be mouthwatering.
The chicken was tender, well-cooked, and not too salty.
The service at the restaurant was excellent, and the place was clean, making for an overall pleasant dining experience.````````````````
Being part of this community, I am always on the lookout for healthier food options.
One place that has become a staple in my routine is Salata.
Their made-to-order salads were delicious, but they also offer wraps and soups as well!
The prices are also quite reasonable considering the amount of food you get.
Do keep in mind that some may find it a bit pricey, but for me, it's worth it for a healthy and satisfying meal.
I absolutely love coming here for a quick and nutritious bite!
Just last week, I decided to try out this new spot in town called Yoko Ramen, and I must say, I was not disappointed.
As I walked in, the atmosphere was hip and casual, making me feel right at home.
I ordered the vegetable fried rice, and it was perfectly cooked - not too dry or salty, just the way I like it.
I must admit, I am quite a ramen enthusiast, so I was excited to try their different ramen variations.
I went for the tonkotsu ramen, and the broth was simply amazing - flavorful and hot.
The noodles were fresh and had the perfect consistency.
I also got to taste their bento boxes and small bites, which were a delightful addition to my meal.
The best part about this place, besides the delicious food, is the family-owned vibe.
I have been raving about Yoko Ramen to all my friends and family, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items.
Palette Indian Kitchen
As someone who has tried out various Indian restaurants in the area, I must say that Palette Indian Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorites.
Their extensive menu offers a wide range of authentic Indian dishes that cater to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
I can't get enough of their hummus and garlic naan bread – it's truly fantastic!
The other dishes we've sampled, such as eggplant curry, paneer, samosas, and lentils, were all delicious too.
In particular, I love their biryani – it brings back memories of my travels to the Middle East.
I appreciate the attention they give to food safety, especially when it comes to allergies.
My kids have nut/peanut allergies, and this restaurant is a safe haven for us.
They make sure not to cross-contaminate, which is a big relief as a parent.
The casual atmosphere and kid-friendly environment make it the perfect spot for family dinners.
I can't wait to go back and try out more dishes on their menu.
Charm Thai Bistro
I've been to Charm Thai Bistro a couple of times, and it has easily become my go-to Thai spot in the Spring area.
I couldn't resist the wide variety of food choices and the authentic taste each dish brings.
During one of my visits, I tried their wings, Pad See Ew, and the Catfish dish.
The catfish dish was not what I expected, but it turned out to be absolutely delightful!
Not only is the food amazing, but the service at Charm Thai Bistro is also top-notch.
I remember being in and out within 45 minutes during one of my quick visits!
One of my favorite dishes at Charm Thai Bistro has to be their fresh soft spring rolls, which are clearly made fresh in-house.
The accompanying peanut sauce is not your average one; it's packed with incredible flavors that complement the spring rolls perfectly!
Each time I visit these fantastic restaurants, I'm reminded of the diverse and delicious flavors that our community has to offer.
From savoring the mouth-watering barbecue at CorkScrew BBQ to enjoying the authentic taste of Pho at Pho Now, my taste buds have never been happier.
