The food is always hot, ready and, let me tell you, it’s well worth the wait.
Smackers is known for their wings - I mean, who wouldn’t love a full wing, not just a section but a whole wing dipped in their tangy sauce?
Just be prepared, they give you one small dipping sauce, and any additional ones will cost you extra.
But who cares when those wings taste so heavenly?
Even the thought of it makes my mouth water.
Apart from their wings, Smackers’ Salmon Club is a must-try.
The youngsters around here say it's "bussin", and boy, they are not wrong.

The first time I visited, it was for lunch and let me tell you, the portions were substantial enough to be considered dinner at most other places.
And the taste, simply spectacular!
A standout dish for me was the sushi roll - each piece was bursting with flavors of fresh ingredients, perfectly rolled and presented.
Their menu isn't just limited to sushi though, they also serve Hibachi and an array of cocktails.
One unique thing about Naru is their intriguing dessert.
I still remember the pineapple covered with chocolate they served us - a delightful surprise for my sweet tooth!
Although it seemed like a long-standing issue, it certainly did not dampen the overall dining experience.
In fact, on a special occasion, they went above and beyond to serve a beautifully presented fried cheesecake that was nothing less than a feast for the eyes and the palate.

It's always served fresh, hot, and super quick.
I've never had an issue with my order, and I've been frequenting this place for years.
Whether I'm dining in with family or grabbing a quick meal alone, they always make me feel welcome.
One & Only BBQ
Ever had one of those days when you get a hankering for some good old-fashioned BBQ?
Well, I found myself with that craving recently and decided to pay a visit to a place I've passed by countless times but never stopped in at before - One & Only BBQ.
As soon as I stepped foot into One & Only BBQ, I was enveloped by the tantalizing aroma of smoked meat and the sound of sizzling grills that made my mouth water more than ever.
Filled with anticipation, I decided to try their BBQ Nachos, Junkyard Dog, and the Mac and Cheese with coleslaw - a decision I will never regret.
Each bite was a heavenly mix of flavors that were cooked to absolute perfection.
The real cherry on top was the service.
This added an extra layer of warmth to the already cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
After having such an amazing experience, I couldn’t help but return to try out their ribs and fried chicken.
Not to disappoint, the ribs were fantastic - a perfect balance of crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Huey's has a whole range of other offerings such as the Fried Mushrooms, which are nice, crunchy and not overly breaded.

When it comes to satisfying my craving for authentic Mexican cuisine, there’s no place quite like El Agave Mexican Restaurants.

One of the highlights of dining at El Agave is their Big Daddy Burrito.
Weighing in at a hefty 4-5lbs, this dish is a challenge even for the most voracious eaters.
But it’s not just the food that makes El Agave special.
The restaurant also provides top-notch service.
Plus, the food always arrives promptly, so you won't be kept waiting.
The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning.
With its clean interiors and the inviting aroma of Mexican cuisine wafting around, it creates a cheery atmosphere for a casual meal.
And if you're up for a drink, their Trash Can mix is a must-try!
In terms of cost, the price is surprising.
Given the quality and quantity of the food, I consider it a real bargain.
Saki Endless Sushi and Hibachi

I'm not one to pass up a good slice of pizza or a hearty sub, and that's why Avellino's Pizzeria has become my go-to spot.
Nestled in an unassuming strip-mall, Avellino's might not grab your attention at first, but trust me, their food certainly will.
As soon as you step into the restaurant, you are greeted with comforting smiles and excellent customer service that just warms your heart.
What sets Avellino's apart is their pizza.
I've been to many a pizzeria but the BBQ pizza here, it's something else.
Fluffy and beautifully cooked, each bite is a delightful experience.
They are not just about pizza though, their pasta and subs are equally commendable.
The portions are generous and the Alfredo and lasagna are dishes you simply cannot miss.
Each time I visit, I end up spending around $60 and given the quality and quantity of the food, I consider it money well spent.
Although I have a sweet tooth, I am picky about my desserts.
But the cannoli and cheesecakes at Avellino's are absolutely heavenly.
Their cannolis are not like the ones you find elsewhere, they are glazed with chocolate and are just perfect.
Maria’s Cantina
Every week, my taste buds embark on a culinary adventure right here in the city.
My latest escapade led me to Maria's Cantina, a vibrant oasis of Mexican cuisine that brightens up our cityscape.
From its colorful interior to the lively patio seating, Maria's Cantina is a sensory delight.
The restaurant offers a tantalizing variety of Mexican delicacies, each with its own unique twist.
On my numerous visits, I've sampled a range of their dishes, each more delicious than the last.

I recently visited Valle's Italian Rebel for the first time.
How I've deprived myself of this culinary experience for years, I'll never know!
I decided to be adventurous on my first visit, opting for the spicy Italian, Italian sausage, and a single slice of their sausage and pepperoni pizza.
What an explosion of flavors!
The pizza sauce and dough tasted like they'd been made right there in-house, with the freshness practically begging for another bite.
The spicy Italian was a revelation, packed to the brim with delicious meat.
The Italian sausage, running the entire length of the bun, was a delight.
I spotted a review on Valle's in Garden and Gun once and it intrigued me.
So, when I finally got a chance to try the MUFFELETTA, it lived up to the hype!

There's nothing quite like kicking off the day with one of their build-your-own breakfast bowls.
And let me tell you, when they say "hefty", they mean it!
The portions are not for the faint-hearted.
When I first walked into this place, Eggxactly Breakfast & Deli surprised me with its homely, warm vibes.
It's a down-to-earth cafe, yet airy and spacious. The decor is unpretentious but inviting, making it feel like a cozy gathering spot for the neighborhood folks.
I remember ordering the thighs and fries basket on my first visit.
I asked for my thighs to be cooked hard, just the way I like it.
And they got it absolutely spot on!
I wish I could say the same for the dipping sauce, but luckily, I’m a hot sauce person and I found their hot sauce to be particularly good.
Although the summer heat was relentless, I didn’t mind waiting for my order with the handy buzzer they provided.
On my next visit, I decided to go for breakfast.
The omelettes here are out of this world - quite possibly the best I've ever had.
They could certainly be larger, but that's a small gripe compared to the overall experience.
Eggxactly is not just a cafe, it's a testament to the spirit of the Whitehaven community.
It's the dream of a couple of local entrepreneurs, realized in the form of a bustling, successful eatery.
African Restaurant
"Don't judge a book by its cover" - we've all heard it, but it's never been more applicable than with our very own African Restaurant here in the city.
The exterior may have a worn-down look that can be deceptive, but step inside and you're in for one of the most unforgettable culinary experiences!
I remember my first visit there.
As an adventurous foodie, I dove right in.
Once I'd maneuvered my way around the fish bones, I was rewarded with a flavor explosion that had me saying, "Wow!" in no time.
Every single bite was a delight - the fish was fresh, the pickled onions added a tangy crunch, and the spicy paste was the perfect blend of heat and flavor.
But the surprises didn’t stop there!
For a side, I had a spicy fish pie, which I relished later as a midnight snack.
It had a kick, just enough to get my taste buds tingling.
