The moment I stepped inside, I was transported to Havana, with Cuban music playing in the background and green plants decorating the entire space.

Bruno's Taqueria
I can't get enough of the delicious food at Bruno's Taqueria!

Their food comes out quickly, and even during their busiest times, I never have to wait long for my meal.
Plus, the prices here are beyond reasonable, making me feel like I'm not only supporting a local business but also getting an incredible deal.
Papa's Backyard BBQ
I must confess I have driven past Papa's Backyard BBQ several times without realizing what I was missing.
One day, I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did.
This small, unassuming BBQ joint is the epitome of a mom-and-pop shop, with a friendly atmosphere and seriously delicious food.
Being a Texas native, I have high expectations when it comes to barbecue, and Papa's exceeded them.
The brisket was moist and flavorful, easily one of the best I've had in a while.
I also tried the Mutt BBQ bun with mac and cheese, and let me tell you, it was divine.
The mac and cheese was so good, I could eat it every day and not get tired of it.
It's no wonder they've stood the test of time and are considered the best BBQ in Slidell.
Touch of Italy Cafe
I can confidently say that Touch of Italy Cafe is one of my favorite spots for breakfast.

In addition, the service was exceptional, and our food arrived quickly.
Creole Bagelry and Cafe'
I love starting my mornings with a visit to Creole Bagelry and Cafe'.
The casual environment makes it the perfect spot to grab breakfast with friends or even enjoy a quiet morning to myself.
One of my favorite dishes is the Praline Waffle, which is absolutely divine.

I've also had the opportunity to try their avocado toast, which was pretty decent, and the tangy turkey bagel.
Don't forget to order their sweet potato tots on the side - they're amazing!

Taqueria Habaneros

One of my favorite aspects of this place is the rustic setting, complete with a lush deck that allows you to indulge in the beauty of nature while enjoying its delectable cuisine.

The other day, I decided to try this place out for the first time, and it turned out to be an amazing dining experience from start to finish.
The combination of the atmosphere and the food was simply perfect!
Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with warmth and felt so relaxed and welcomed.
It truly set the tone for the incredible meal that followed.
I couldn't believe how delicious everything was!
I even overheard other customers raving about their burgers, claiming they were the best in town.
I must admit, I was tempted to come back for a taste.
She made sure our experience was a memorable one.
And, as I was leaving, I couldn't help but notice their lovely courtyard – perfect for dining on a warm day.
I'm already planning on hosting my birthday dinner party at Deanasco's soon!
GilliGil's Island
One of my favorite spots to hang out and grab a bite to eat is GilliGil's Island.
This island-themed restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, both inside and on the back deck.
I particularly love that I can bring my dog along and enjoy the view overlooking the pirate-themed play area and small dock.
Whenever I visit GilliGil's, the service is always top-notch.
The food at GilliGil's Island is consistently delicious.
I've tried a variety of dishes, including the Minnow Tacos, hamburger, shrimp tacos, and chicken tostada - all of which were excellent.
The grilled corn appetizer is also a tasty treat, although it could use a bit more char for my taste.
