Jarasa Kabob

Let me tell you about my experience at Jarasa Kabob, a delightful Middle Eastern restaurant in our neighborhood.

The first thing that caught my attention was the open-concept kitchen, where you can watch the food being prepared right in front of you.

On my visits to Jarasa Kabob, I've had the pleasure of trying their chicken kebab and the rice platter.

The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the rice was served as hot as I liked.

I also appreciated the option to create my own bowl, with various ingredients to choose from, although I found the mashed potato could have been fresher.

Besides the food, the ambiance at Jarasa Kabob is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends or family.

I've heard great things about their shawarma bowls, feta fries, and mixed entrees, so I'm looking forward to trying those on my next visit.

Costa Arena Mexican Restaurant

One of my favorite spots to eat in town is Costa Arena Mexican Restaurant.

Their food never disappoints, and I always leave with a full, satisfied belly.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the clean atmosphere, which is always a plus in my book.

I went with a group of friends, and we decided to start our meal with their large guacamole, which was more than enough for all six to eight of us to share.

We also tried the salsa with chips, and it was by far the best we've ever had.

The menu is primarily in Spanish, but Google Translate came in handy for understanding the dishes.

It's a small detail that adds to the authentic Mexican dining experience.

For our main dishes, three of us ordered the Birria Beef Tacos with consommé, served with fresh refried beans and Mexican rice.

Another friend tried the chicken taco salad, which was huge and came with Mexican rice and refried beans inside as well.

I must say, their mole enchiladas were the star of the show – so delicious and packed with flavor!

Even though the prices are a bit on the higher side, the portions are generous, and the quality of the food is worth every penny.

One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood has to be Sarra Grill.

This Mediterranean restaurant offers a casual and laid-back atmosphere, making it a go-to choice for a relaxed meal with friends and family.

I can't get enough of their shawarma sandwiches and kebabs, both of which are packed with flavor and cooked to perfection.

Their lentil soup and chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had!

Another thing I appreciate about this place is its cleanliness and attention to detail.

The restaurant is spacious, and the air conditioning keeps the space cool and comfortable during those hot summer months.

The hand-cut fries are another standout on their menu – they're soft and just the way I like them.

I do sometimes find myself wishing the food was a bit saltier and spicier, but that's just a minor preference that I can easily request on my next visit.

Sarra Grill has become a staple for me, and I'm always excited to share this gem with friends and family visiting from out of town.

If you're in the area and craving some delicious Mediterranean cuisine, you should definitely give this place a try.

This family-owned joint goes above and beyond when it comes to delicious food and exceptional service.

The food at Herm's Palace is simply unbeatable.

From their mouth-watering hot dogs and burgers to their numerous vegetarian selections, there's something for everyone.

And the best part is that you can get a tasty meal with all the toppings, fries, and a soda for just $10.

Jose's Hacienda

I've lived in this area for years, and I just recently discovered a hidden gem that I simply must share with you – Jose's Hacienda.

To be completely honest, finding this place was a bit of an adventure.

It's located on the 3rd floor of an office building, tucked away in an old mail room.

But trust me, the hunt is absolutely worth it.

It features some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican food I've ever had.

I opted for the breakfast burritos with both hot sauce and green sauce and let me tell you – the flavors were absolutely divine.

The spice was just right, not overpowering but definitely present, and the combination of egg, onion, bacon, chilies, and other spices was truly amazing.

The portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable.

I've read a few negative reviews out there, but in my opinion, they really don't do Jose's Hacienda justice.

I'm convinced that the only reason this place isn't packed all the time is its hidden location.

But as a local resident, I can tell you that it's more than worth the effort to find it.

So, do yourself a favor and head to 9933 Lawlor Ave.

It was jam-packed with deliciousness, and their falafel was crispy and juicy to perfection. The portion size was well worth the cost.

During one lunch break, I decided to go for their Lunch Special #3.

I was amazed by the amount of food I got for the price – it was enough for two meals!

Every item was flavorful and fresh.

The chicken kufta was warm and spiced just right, the rice was sweet and flavorful, and the salad was fresh and crisp.
