There were no napkins or coasters available, a slight disappointment for a new establishment like this.

I observed several people leaving without ordering, possibly due to the lack of service.

To my surprise, several customers asked for food, only to be informed that the kitchen was not open, and there was no sign indicating this.

The absence of drink menus and unclear pricing also left the customers in confusion.

Fish Place

It's a breath of fresh air to welcome another seafood restaurant, Fish Place, here in the Fe.

From the first step inside, I was greeted by an inviting atmosphere that was as warm and familiar as a down-home country gathering.

As for the food, it was pretty impressive.

One thing worth mentioning is their daily deals and the sizeable portions that come at a reasonable price.

It's indeed a value-for-money experience that keeps me coming back.

A personal favorite?

Their stuffed jalapenos.

I've tasted stuffed jalapenos all over Europe during my years of deployment, and I must say, the ones at Fish Place are simply unmatched.

They are the best I've had anywhere.

New Year's Eve at Marais was indeed a memorable affair.

Their commitment to providing top-notch service, even on one of the busiest nights of the year, sets them apart.

The food at Marais is a delight for the taste buds.

The freshness of the ingredients shines through in every dish.

Their menu offers a variety of moderate to high-dollar choices that are worth every penny.

The atmosphere is just as enticing.

I vividly remember one sunny day with clear blue skies when we opted for the patio seating.

Vintage Crown - Micheladas & Tacos (Dickinson)

After a long day at work, nothing quite hits the spot like an ice-cold Michelada and some hearty Mexican fare.

That's precisely what you get at Vintage Crown, a laid-back local eatery tucked away in simple surroundings.

The ambiance here is unhurried, with a casual vibe that instantly puts you at ease.

As for the food, the menu is brimming with mouthwatering options.

Whether it's the birria street tacos, generously filled with tender, juicy meat, or the asada French fries, each dish is a flavor explosion!

And if you have a penchant for spicy food, their birria quesadilla and birria noodle soup will not disappoint.

But the star of the show for me was the ceviche michelada, a delightful concoction that perfectly complements Mexican food.

However, the Vintage Crown isn't just about food.

It also boasts an impressive array of drink options, from refreshing daiquiris to Mexican-style Bloody Marys.

The drink prices are reasonable, making it a great place to catch up with friends over a drink or two.

And let's not forget the service.

Despite being the only customer on a quiet afternoon, I was treated with the utmost attention.

Gio's Flying Pizza & Pasta (Dickinson)

One bite into the cheese pizza at Gio's Flying Pizza & Pasta, and I was transported to a world of gooey, cheesy delight.

The dishes that stand out for me are their hand-tossed pizzas and the mouthwatering pasta.

Their meatloaf, in particular, is to die for and often has me coming back for more.

It's hands-down the best in the city, with a side of green beans and veggies that are equally superb.

Flippers Coastal Seafood (Dickinson)

Just another day in our quaint city, I found myself craving seafood and decided to pop into a little gem, Flippers Coastal Seafood, known to serve some of the best seafood dishes around.

The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a charming array of desserts.

Though I didn't get around to trying them, they sure looked tempting!

On the menu, the stuffed jalapeños came highly recommended, and oh boy, they didn't disappoint!

Crisp, spicy, and absolutely delicious, they are truly a must-have.

I also had the chance to try their fried catfish – crunchy on the outside, soft, and delectable on the inside.

While their adult milkshake was quite a treat, I did wish it to have a bit more kick from the liquor.

It was quite a tasty meal, and I'm now looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

The best part?

Despite the quality of the food, the prices remained reasonable. '
