The rice was soft, and the steamed vegetables were very flavorful.
I also tried their chicken and beef patties, and let me tell you, they are incredibly filling.

When I heard about Chichos Sabor A Cuba opening up in my city, I couldn't contain my excitement!

Their coffee is top-notch, too.
Buddha Burger
I often find myself on the lookout for great places to eat nearby.
One day, while exploring, I stumbled upon Buddha Burger inside a gas station convenience store.
Despite its unconventional location, I decided to give it a try after hearing some good things about it.
To my surprise, the burgers were mouth-watering, delicious, and definitely worth every penny.
My 6-year-old niece couldn't resist devouring her burger, which is quite rare for her.
The poutine fries with gravy were also amazing, with super thick gravy that went perfectly with the soft fries.
One time, I tried their double cheeseburger with fries, and it was so good—the patty was juicy and soft, and the cheese was really tasty.
Another must-try at Buddha Burger is the onion rings with Cajun seasoning.
They're absolutely delicious and not to be missed!
TaterQue
I finally decided to visit TaterQue after driving by it every day, and I must say it was a pleasant surprise!

I visited on a weekend, and it was quite busy, so I'd recommend getting there early for a good seat on the patio or at the bar.
They serve alcohol (bottled beer only) and have frozen margaritas on offer.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the food – The Alamo and Big Jack were amazing, and we finished every bite.
My daughter loved the two-3 with ribs and mac n cheese, while I enjoyed the Springdale, which had seafood and Alfredo.
They even had a tasty vegetarian/vegan option available.
The atmosphere was great, with customers laughing and enjoying themselves.

During another visit, I ordered the lemon pepper wings with fries, and they were finger-licking good!

These perfectly smoked meats are complemented by the impeccable Garlic Green Beans and Tater Tot Casserole.
And, if you're like me and always have room for dessert, their Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding is simply out of this world.

It's a refreshing change from the cramped and crowded BBQ joints that seem to be more common.
Honestly, the hardest part about dining at Brotherton's Black Iron Barbecue is choosing what to eat!
Every menu item I've tried, from the smoked meatloaf to the chicken fried steak, has been nothing short of amazing.
And the sides, like the Asian cucumber salad, potato salad, and tater tot casserole, are equally as delicious.
Pflugerville Taco House
I've always loved exploring new places to eat, and Pflugerville Taco House is one of those hidden gems I was lucky to discover.
It's tucked away behind a Shell gas station and between a brewery and a tattoo shop here.
Don't be fooled by its modest exterior or small entrance – the food is amazing!
I've been there multiple times with my family and friends, and we've always had a great experience.
The Alavon tacos are a must-try – they're the best choice for sure.
The crispy taco plate and migas are also delicious, and the green sauce adds a nice kick to any meal.
Even my kids love the food, which is a big plus.
The place is tiny, with only three tables available for dine-in, but there's a nice outdoor seating area with shade next to the brewery.
You can also just grab your food to go since the tacos stay hot for quite a while.
Iron Fish Sushi & Grill
I often visit Iron Fish Sushi & Grill for a sushi fix, and I must say, it's quite a decent place to have a meal.
The parking situation is never a problem since they share their parking lot with H-E-B and other stores.
Although they don't accept reservations, I've never had any trouble finding a table, even on a busy Friday night.
The restaurant is small but has a modern and clean interior.
I've tried their sushi rolls and sashimi, and they're good.
The miso soup is also quite tasty.
I have had some great dishes here, like the Takoyaki and Hamachi Carpaccio, which I absolutely recommend.

That's why I was ecstatic to discover Los Magueyes.
Trust me when I say the entrees and salsa taste leagues better than any chain restaurant nearby.
As someone who appreciates authentic Mexican food, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Los Magueyes offers the real deal - not just Tex Mex.
In my quest to find true Mexican cuisine, I've tried numerous hole-in-the-wall spots, but none of them compared to this gem.
After my first visit, I was absolutely hooked.
I usually order the chipotle enchiladas, while my partner is a huge fan of their beef fajitas.
From the chips and salsa to the chicken enchiladas and carne asada, everything on their menu is delicious and reasonably priced.
Tropical Curry and Grill
I recently paid a visit to Tropical Curry and Grill in search of a good meal with Halal meat options.

I got a lot of food for the price and would recommend it to anyone looking for something yummy and quick.
One thing I particularly love is their $6 special for Viet tacos on Thursdays.
The Vietnamese egg rolls are also worth trying.
The veggies they use are always fresh, adding a delightful crunch to the tacos.
Plus, the portion size is just right for lunch.
Tony's Jamaican Food
One of my favorite spots to eat in town has to be Tony's Jamaican Food.
I remember the first time I walked in, the Jamaican music instantly set a cool and laid-back atmosphere.

Their plantains are so sweet and soft that they're almost like eating honey.

I love Tony's Jamaican Food not only for the delicious meals but also for the cozy and cool ambiance.
