Living here has given me the opportunity to explore the town's culinary treasures and indulge in some of the most delicious dishes one could ask for.
With a diverse range of cuisine options and an ever-evolving dining landscape, Palm Harbor truly has something for everyone.
Rocky Mountain Subs
One day, I stumbled upon Rocky Mountain Subs' website and decided to give it a try.
I'm so glad I did!
Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately greeted by the friendly ladies behind the counter.
They were kind and quick, and their excellent service made me feel right at home.
I decided to order their Colorado Cuban, which turned out to be a fantastic choice.
The sandwich was delicious and full of flavor, with a fantastic crunch from the bread.
One thing that sets Rocky Mountain Subs apart from other sandwich places near Tarpon Springs is their special pepper mix, which adds a whole new dimension of flavor to their sandwiches.
I also had the opportunity to try their TriTip sub, cole slaw, and banana pudding, all of which were absolutely amazing.
Although it's an hour-long drive for me, I can't wait to make the trip again and explore more of their delicious menu offerings.
Alaturka Mediterranean Grill & Bakery
I decided to give Alaturka Mediterranean Grill & Bakery a try.
I went there with my family, and we were a party of six.
Upon arrival, they asked if we had reservations, which confused us because the place wasn't packed.
It seemed they had prepared most tables for seating four people, so if you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend calling ahead.
The atmosphere was lovely, and the food itself was outstanding.
We started with grape leaves and hummus, and both were delicious.
We also ordered the Alaturka Mixed Grill platter for four, which was more than enough for all six of us with leftovers.
Piper's Scratch Pizza Shop
The other day, I decided to finally try Piper's Scratch Pizza Shop, as I've heard nothing but great things about it.
I must say, the experience went above and beyond my expectations!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by Piper and her amazing team.
They immediately made me feel right at home.
I started with their meatballs and garlic knots, which were absolutely delicious.
But the real star of the show was their twisted margarita pizza.
The thin, crispy crust combined with the delightful cheese was a match made in heaven.
I also tried the Piper-Roni and the Pineapple Express with jalapeño, which were equally scrumptious.
The Marley Meatball and Four Horsemen pizzas are next on my list to try.
I recently dined at Mystic Fish, and it was an overall pleasant experience.
The small plates and entrees were well-prepared, and the specialty drinks were strong and tasty.
The setting and decor were also visually appealing, creating a nice ambiance.
Upon arrival, I appreciated that we were seated quickly, even though we were early for our reservation.
The bread they served was fantastic, and both the ribs and shrimp small plates were perfect.
The main courses, such as the lamb and pork, were delicious.
The pretzel-crusted grouper was enjoyable.
The seasonal vegetables that came with everything were fresh.
I particularly enjoyed the drinks as they were very strong and well made.
Desserts at Mystic Fish are done right – small but satisfying portions, perfect after a full meal.
The espresso was also spot-on.
Harvey's Sandwich & Salads
One of my favorite places to grab a quick and delicious lunch in town is Harvey's Sandwich & Salads.
This charming mom-and-pop style shop may have an old-fashioned interior, but it only adds to its unique charm.
I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed with the quality of their sandwiches.
The Genoa is one of my go-to options, with its incredibly fresh bread and delicious fillings.
What sets Harvey's apart from other sandwich shops is the homemade, fresh, and delicious food they serve.
I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years and have never had a bad meal.
One of the best things on their menu is the Cuban sandwich - I went there on the 23rd for lunch, and I can say it's probably the best Cuban in the area.
I've been living in this area for almost 20 years, and it's a bit embarrassing to admit that I only recently visited Dairy Rich for the first time.
I'd been hearing great things about their burgers and hotdogs, so when I was suddenly in the mood for a burger, I decided to give it a try.
The place was clean and welcoming, with a comfortable atmosphere.
They had a covered seating area with plenty of fans, which was perfect for the Florida heat.
I was also impressed by the separate play area for kids.
I ordered a burger and fries, which were both delicious.
The burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were hot and crispy.
I also tried their raspberry sorbet, which was a tasty dairy-free option.
My kids enjoyed their vanilla ice cream with a brownie and sprinkles.
I recently decided to try out DiGiorgio's Pizzeria.
I must say, their pizza did not disappoint!
The crust was crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced.
My friends and I ordered the Margarita pizza and the Emilia pizza with prosciutto.
One thing that I particularly appreciated was the friendly atmosphere and clean environment.
My friends and I also tried their Caesar salad and a dessert, both of which were delicious.
Mike's Sushi & Sake Bar
I have to admit, I absolutely love dining at Mike's Sushi & Sake Bar.
It's been a favorite spot for my family and me for years now.
You might think it's just another strip-mall sushi restaurant, but it's so much more than that.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complete with cute, secluded tables that offer a nice sense of privacy.
They're always on top of refilling drinks and making sure we're happy with our orders, and they never hesitate to offer helpful suggestions when we're not sure what to get.
Their takeout service is also fantastic, always quick and accurate.
Now, of course, the sushi is the main reason we keep coming back.
I have eaten sushi in various cities and states, and I can confidently say that Mike's is at the top of the list.
The fish is always fresh, and the presentation is simply beautiful.
I particularly love their whitefish bento box, which is not only a great value but also incredibly tender and flavorful.
Their lunch specials are also a great deal, so I always look forward to the days I get to eat at Mike's for lunch.
The Green Table
Let me tell you about one of my favorite places to eat in town, The Green Table.
I've been a regular at this amazing eatery for quite some time now, and I can't get enough of their delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The casual setting and sidewalk seating make it a perfect spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a meal on my own.
The first time I had their pancakes, I was blown away!
I've never tasted anything so scrumptious in my life.
Their weekend brunch is an absolute must-try.
The portions are generous, and the prices are budget-friendly.
My personal favorite is the gyro; it's simply fantastic.
And don't even get me started on the seitan appetizer – the texture is just perfect!
Her passion for her food and customers truly shines through in every dish.
Every time I visit, I make sure to indulge in one of their mouthwatering desserts or shakes.
Trust me, you don't want to miss out on their ice cream.
I've even brought along some non-vegan friends to this café, and they've all fallen in love with the food too.
Aloha to Go
I recently stumbled upon this gem in Palm Harbor called Aloha to Go, and it has become my go-to spot for an authentic Hawaiian food experience.
From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the beautiful decorations that brought the spirit of Hawaii to life.
I started off with the poke bowl, which was fresh and flavorful, and then moved on to the huli-huli chicken - absolutely amazing!
The sticky rice was cooked to perfection, giving me a taste of the islands right here in my own neighborhood.
I couldn't resist trying some of their other dishes, like the nachos with pork, wings, and spam musubi, which brought back fond memories of the ones I had in Maui.
Discovery Indian Cuisine
Discovery Indian Cuisine is an absolute hidden gem.
Tucked away behind the Valero gas station off of US 19, this restaurant serves some of the best Indian dishes I've ever had.
I've dined here several times, and each visit is better than the last.
My personal favorite is the chicken biryani, while my partner swears by the chicken masala.
We always go for the medium spice, and it's just enough heat to satisfy our cravings without overpowering the flavors.
The bread basket is a must-try, too – we love the chili garlic, garlic, and regular varieties.
Each piece of bread is perfectly cooked and has just the right level of softness.
Poke & Ramen Town
Just the other day, I visited one of my favorite local spots, Poke & Ramen Town.
I arrived at 5 pm, and within 45 minutes, the place was packed!
It's definitely a favorite among the locals, and I can see why.
The shoyu ramen I ordered was full of flavor and so fresh.
I also tried the spicy tuna poke bowl, where I could choose my own veggies and sauce.
It added a fun, interactive element to my meal, and it tasted amazing.
The prices were very fair, and the service was outstanding.
The lady working there was polite and seemed genuinely happy to be there.
The restaurant itself was clean and had plenty of seating.
My friends and I also indulged in some Thai Tea Bubble (Boba) Tea and Mango Mochi ice cream, which were both delightful treats.
The boba tea had a strong flavor, and the boba pearls were the perfect level of chewiness.
My friends and I had been looking for a new spot to try out, and we stumbled upon Sip85.
The moment we walked in, I knew we were in for a treat.
The modern and intimate atmosphere was perfect for a night out with friends or for a romantic date night.
As a wine lover, I was thrilled by their extensive wine list.
I decided to go with the Sea Sun, California, and was not disappointed.
We navigated the menu and decided to start with the Everything Pretzels and the Truffle Mac & Cheese.
Wow, they were both absolutely delicious.
For our main courses, we shared the Linguine Shrimp and the Steak Frites.
I must say, the steak was one of the best I've had in Tampa - cooked to perfection.
The shrimp in the linguine was fresh and flavorful, and the combination of pesto, grilled asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms was divine.
I couldn't help but notice how many regulars seemed to be at the restaurant, a testament to the quality of the food and service.
Fireside Pizza Cafe
I absolutely love going to Fireside Pizza Cafe in Palm Harbor.
It's a cozy, unassuming spot that serves some of the best wood-fired pizzas I've ever had.
The craft beer selection is also impressive, with a focus on local brews that perfectly complement the delicious food.
One of my favorite things about Fireside is the outdoor patio seating area.
It's a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, especially on a warm evening.
The atmosphere is casual, making it perfect for a laid-back dinner.
On my last visit, I ordered the Carne pizza, and it was incredible.
The quality and flavor of the ingredients were top-notch, and it's quite possibly the best pizza I've had in years.
I've also tried the fireside wings, which were equally amazing.
Fish Bowl Kitchen
I just had to share my experience with everyone about this fantastic place I discovered recently - Fish Bowl Kitchen.
I've been trying to explore healthier food options, and I've become quite a fan of poke bowls.
So when I found Fish Bowl Kitchen in my neighborhood, I just knew I had to try it.
I was blown away by the wide variety of toppings available, and the spicy tuna was just perfect - big, chunky pieces that really satisfied my cravings.
Dining in was a treat, as they served the food on real dishes, which just added a touch of class to the whole experience.
And if poke isn't your thing, don't worry - Fish Bowl Kitchen has an extensive menu with plenty of other options like miso soup, sear tuna, and Korean BBQ with lo Mein.
They also have a lovely wine selection and an old-fashioned-style soda bar, which I can't wait to try next time.
What really sets Fish Bowl Kitchen apart, though, is their incredible service.
The pricing is reasonable, too, which means I'll definitely be going back for more.
And for those who love boba tea, you're in luck - Fish Bowl Kitchen has you covered.
The Ozona Pig
The Ozona Pig has become my go-to spot for some authentic hickory-smoked BBQ.
Their outdoor picnic tables create a cozy, intimate atmosphere that's perfect for catching up with friends and family.
One of the things I absolutely love about their menu is the sweet sauce they offer - it's a taste of my hometown, Memphis, that I can savor right here in Florida.
You can check their website here.
During my most recent visit, I tried the steak sandwich for the first time, and it was amazing!
The portion sizes are always great, and their Sampler is perfect if you want to try a little bit of everything.
I usually pair it with beans and slaw, and it's always more than enough for me and my partner to share.
The ribs are definitely the highlight, though the brisket can be a bit chewy at times.
Service at The Ozona Pig is always top-notch.
I also appreciate the onion rings and fries they serve as sides - both are mouthwatering options.
La Dolce Vita Trattoria
I recently dined at La Dolce Vita Trattoria with a group of friends.
It's a new place in the area, having been open for less than a month at the time.
I must say, we were all pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic Italian restaurant right in our neighborhood.
The portion sizes were ideal, leaving us all with full stomachs but not overly stuffed.
One thing that stood out was the wide variety of menu offerings, including classic seasonal items and unique daily specials.
As frequent Italy travelers, my friends and I appreciated the extensive wine list that complemented our meals perfectly.
Plus, the outdoor dining area added a lovely touch to our evening.
Palm Harbor truly has a diverse and delightful range of dining options to satisfy any palate.
From the mouth-watering subs at Rocky Mountain Subs to the exquisite Mediterranean dishes at Alaturka, I can confidently say that I'm never disappointed with the choices available in this charming town.
Moreover, the local establishments are not just about great food but also about a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that makes dining out an even more enjoyable experience.
