OOZIE Mediterranean Restaurant

I was wandering through midtown the other day, when I stumbled upon a hidden gem - the OOZIE Mediterranean Restaurant.

Located inconspicuously in a building that resembles a law firm, the place offers an intimate and unpretentious setting that's perfect for a quiet lunch or a quick bite after work.

As soon as I walked in, the aroma of authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine tantalized my senses.

My meal was anything but ordinary - the food was fresh, hearty, and served with a side of Turkish coffee that wanted to perk up my afternoon.

The dishes were simply irresistible!

For example, the beef was tender and flavorful, the salad was crisp and brightly colored, and the hummus was to die for!

Mixed and served to perfection, it was a dish I couldn't help but rave about.

It's always safe to check the hours before you plan your visit.

Plus, they offer free onsite parking, a luxury in midtown!

So, if you want to explore Mediterranean delicacies, OOZIE is the place to be.

I'll definitely be visiting, and I recommend you do, too.

After all, it's not every day you find a Mediterranean oasis in the heart of midtown.

Paseo Grill

It was our anniversary last week, and I decided to take my partner to Paseo Grill.

I'd heard a lot about this place but hadn't gotten a chance to visit it until then.

The experience was nothing short of spectacular.

As we stepped in, the romantic atmosphere was palpable.

We were ushered to an adorable booth that had an intimate ambiance.

The food was a gastronomic delight - gourmet American fare paired with wines.

My partner particularly enjoyed the king crab, which was plentiful and delectably prepared.

The steaks were just the way we liked, cooked to perfection.

What I preferred was their light fruit and whipped cream, and the glazed carrots!

They were indeed the best I've ever had.

To top it all, they surprised us with champagne and strawberries at the end of the dinner, which was a perfect end to our experience.

Whether you're celebrating something special or just out on a regular date night, I can't recommend Paseo Grill enough.

The combination of the romantic setting, impeccable service, and delicious food makes it the go-to place for any occasion.

Nonesuch

Right in the heart of downtown OKC, you'll find a culinary gem that goes by the name of Nonesuch.

The first time I walked in, I was taken aback by the unique and hip environment - an immediate hint that I was in for an extraordinary dining experience.

The dedication they put into their craft is simply incredible, and it's clear that every dish is prepared with meticulous care and creativity.

What I found most remarkable was their adventurous tasting menu.

Every dish was a story of unique and bold flavors beautifully combined to create an unforgettable taste experience.

I tried the 6-course menu, taking my time to savor each bite, each flavor, each moment.

Afterward, I didn't leave feeling overstuffed but rather content and satisfied.

The food was not just about filling the stomach but also about pleasing the palate and stimulating the senses.

In addition to the food, the ambiance only added to the overall experience.

The calming atmosphere, paired with the perfect volume of zen-like music, allowed me to relax and enjoy my meal.

I genuinely look forward to when the menu changes in September, as I can't wait to embark on a new gastronomic journey at Nonesuch.

Every visit to Nonesuch is an experience that leaves me in awe of the creativity and genius of the chefs.

It's hard to describe the magic that unfolds inside this restaurant.

Nonesuch is a culinary paradise, a testament to the magical combination of food, ambiance, and passionate people.

Thirty-Nine Restaurant

Once, I stumbled upon a hidden gem in OKC, and this time, it was the Thirty-Ninetaurant.

Tucked away inside the First Americans Museum, it's a delightful amalgamation of a restaurant and cultural experience.

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with the rich aroma of traditional foods.

Starting with the sweet and spicy corn ribs, the taste was as amusing and unique as the presentation.

Their BBQ Bison Brisket is something straight out of a food lover's dream - succulent, flavorful, and served on a perfectly toasted, buttery bun.

Now, you don't want to miss out on the traditional fare.

I ordered the Indian fry bread.

Freshly fried, crisp, and hot, it was like a zepoli sans powdered sugar.

A full-service bar completes the culinary experience, offering a wide selection that caters to different tastes.

Then, I tried their Green Chili Corn Chowder - a thick and hearty soup with a spicy kick, served in a cast iron skillet that added to the rustic charm.

The flavors were blended so well that I was left satisfied, so much so that I had to take the rest of my Bison Burger home.

As a sweet ending to my meal, I indulged in the Southern Crisp Blackberry Cobbler, served hot and crispy. Simply divine!

However, remember that they close at 2 p.m. on certain days, so make sure to plan your visit accordingly.

This extraordinary place is not going to remain a secret for long.

So, if you're in town and want to experience Native American cuisine at its best, do yourself a favor and check out Thirty-Ninetaurant before it gets too crowded.

You won't regret it.

Redrock Canyon Grill

Redrock Canyon Grill manages to capture my heart over and over.

Near a shimmering lake, the Redrock Canyon Grill is a culinary spectacle that woos you with its Southwest-inspired delicacies and the enchanting view of the setting sun.

I still remember my first visit there.

It was an evening of celebration, and what better way to spend it than at a lakeside steakhouse that promised both a feast for the stomach and the eyes?

As darkness fell and the lake began to sparkle under the dancing lights, the tunes of a local band filled the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

From the first bite of the shrimp cocktail and stuffed poblano pepper, I knew we were in for a treat.

The main course was a symphony of flavors, with New Zealand-style lamp chops and stuffed halibut cooked to perfection.

Each morsel was a testament to the chef's expertise.

And then came the pièce de résistance - the carrot cake.

Few desserts met my high standards, yet this one took the cake literally.

It was exceptional and was, undoubtedly, the perfect ending to an outstanding meal.

Redrock Canyon Grill is a beloved destination in OKC.

Savoring a glass of wine as the sun dips below the horizon and indulge in their must-try dessert - The Chocolate Something.

Then, relish the burst of flavors from their bourbon mushrooms.

It's an experience that never disappoints.

I loved it so much that I chose to celebrate my birthday there.

As the live band played, my friends and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, each dish as delicious as the last.

From the breathtaking view to the delicious food, the impeccable service to the soothing live music, Redrock Canyon Grill is a gem in the heart of OKC.

A visit here is more than just a meal – it is an unforgettable experience that I look forward to time and time again.

Charleston's Restaurant

There's nothing like unwinding after a long day with a hearty meal. That's why Charleston's Restaurant.

Their welcoming ambiance, coupled with their delightful menu, always hits the spot.

I've been a regular here, and I must admit, the food is always a treat.

It might lean on the slightly expensive side, but the quality makes it worth it.

I'm particularly fond of their Chicken Fried Steak, which is perfectly cooked.

Meanwhile, the sirloin is just as delightful.

The accompanying sides of mashed potatoes, carrots, and baked potato make it a hearty meal.

The place tends to be a bit dimly lit during the afternoon hours, but that only adds to its relaxed charm.

I remember savoring the perfectly cooked pork chop with carrots on one of my visits, and my partner still talks about how good his steak and salad were.

What topped off our meal was the key lime pie - perfection in every bite!

If you're in the mood for soup, the baked potato soup is a must-try.

I still remember the first time I had it - it was a chilly evening, and the warm, creamy soup was just what I needed.

And let's not forget the NY strip, which was seasoned and cooked just right.

Charleston's Restaurant is a beautiful experience that leaves you wanting more, and I can't wait for my next visit.

The Melting Pot

My partner and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at a unique place this year.

As we both love trying new cuisines, we booked our reservation at The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant in Oklahoma City.

This isn't your everyday dining destination — it's a culinary adventure, a place where you can immerse yourself in the experience of cooking right at the table.

Stepping inside, we were immediately whisked off to our private hall.

A sight for sore eyes, the room was beautifully adorned with rose petals and candles. It felt like we were inside a romantic movie scene!

At the Melting Pot, you're the chef.

We had a four-course meal, starting with a cheese fondue appetizer and a salad each.

For the main course, we highly pot broth - a choicely recommended choice that was surprisingly flavorful, adding a touch of uniqueness to each bite.

And what's a fondue restaurant without a dessert fondue?

The cheesecake fondue was the cherry on top of our evening.

One thing worth noting is that The Melting Pot is more of a splurge.

But for the quality of food, service, and the unique experience it offers, I believe it's worth every penny.

Whether it's a family antic date night, a fuly dinner, or a gathering with friends, this place ensures a fun and delicious time for all.

Patrono

There's a small piece of Italy tucked away in downtown Oklahoma City called Patrono.

It's my go-to spot for a delectable Italian dinner before catching a show at the Civic Center.

The charm of this restaurant is not just in its rustic Italian cuisine but also in the imported wines they serve, all in a casually elegant atmosphere that speaks of laid-back luxury.

Every dinner at Patrono begins with their fantastic bread and butter, which they generously keerefillo whet the appetite.

I always start with the White Anchovies, a perfect blend of flavors that sets the tone for the rest of the meal.

An absolute must-try is their Spaghetti Basil, to which I love adding meatballs for a more hearty experience.

There's also the Roman Carbonara, a classic dish that I often spruce up with some airline chicken.

But no Italian meal is complete without dessert, and Patrono doesn't disappoint here.

Cookiesmorend cream gelato is more than just a sweet treat.

It's an excellent way to finish the meal, preferably coupled with a cup of coffee to balance out, setting up the meal's pacing just perfectly.

You never feel rushed, giving you enough time to savor each dish crafted meticulously from fresh ingredients.

The standout, though, has to be the San Marzano pasta with spicy Italian sausit keepsdish so delicious it keeps me coming back.

And you wouldn't want to miss their balsamic reduction butter – it's not an exaggeration to say I'd love to take it home with me.

Patrono is a place where the authenticity of the food is as genuine as the warmth of the ambiance.

It's a little slice of Italy's right visiting corner, and a vivisitinge is always a delightful culinary journey.

Nic's Grill

If you find yourself in the heart of Oklahoma City craving a burger, a deliciously hearty, juicy one, don't even think twice about going to Nic's Grill.

Despite its small size, it's always packed, and for a good reason.

This is not your typical large, over-commercialized joint where you're another customer in the queue.

Nope, it's a real down-home diner where everyone knows your name, and the atmosphere is as warm as the sizzling grill.

The anticipation only makes the first bite of the burger even more rewarding.

It's probably the only place in town where I'd happily get there 20 minutes early to ensure I get one of those delicious off-the-grill burgers.

Nic's Grill has a simple menu, but what they do, they do well.

It's either a burger or a cheeseburger, and both are bursting with flavor.

The juicy patties melted cheese, and classic toppings create a harmony that will leave your taste buds singing.

Nic's Grill has character, warmth, and one hell of a burger. And if you ask me, that makes a local joint truly special.

The Press

When you walk into The Press, you're immediately greeted by the warm, inviting ambiance of exposed brick and the enticing aroma of American comfort food.

I've made it a bit of a mission to sample everything on the menu, and let me tell you; it's a mission well worh undertaking.

Their meatloaf is a revelation, perfectly cooked and slathered in a barbeque sauce with the right amount of tangy kick.

The mashed potato bowl with fried chicken is another must-try; the chicken strips are seasoned to perfection with a crust that's crip without being heavy.

And if you're a fan of shrimp and grits, the Press takes this classic dish to the next level with a Cajun seasoning that adds a unique and flavorful twist.

On the note of their sauces and gravies, they are delicious, but you might ask for an extra serving.

The country gravy that accompanies their chicken fried steak, for instance, is so good that it always seems like there isn't quite enough to go around.

It's a similar case with the pot roast, phenomenal, but ask for extra gravy.

The space itself is welcoming, with several different seating areas that cater to any dining preference.

If the weather's nice, their outdoor patio is a lovely spot to enjoy your meal.

So, if you're looking for a place with excellent comfort food, hearty portions, and a homely atmosphere, The Press should be on your list.

Whether you're a local like me or just passing through, you will find a dish (or several) you like.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar

You know, there's something about Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar that jusls like coming home.

The brick and wood-lined interior oozes a warm, welcoming charm that's hard to resist.

When I first step inside, the familiar scent of farm-to-table American dishes wafting from the kitchen beckons me, and I know I'm in for a treat.

There's something incredibly satisfying about their menu where craft beers are paired with an array of delicious food, but it's the whiskey list that steals the show.

Trust me, their selection is impressive.

Now, I am a person of habit, and one of my favorite dishes to order is chicken meatballs.

The flavor explosion that ensued was something my tastebuds hadn't tried before.

It's a dish I recommend to newcomers, and it never disappoints.

But, of course, no visit to Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is complete without indulging in the restaurant's namesake dessert.

The whiskey cake is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece.

It lusciously melts in your mouth, leaving an irresistible taste of whiskey-infused sweetness that lingers.

I've to say that the restaurant's commitment to catering to people with food restrictions is commendable.

It's just one more reason why I'm proud to call it my local go-to spot.

For anyone brave enough to explore new and unusual food combinations, this is the place to go.

I've tried their Brussels sprouts, which are flash-fried. Both were unique and mouthwateringly delicious!

I often find myself here at night when the ambiance gets even more intimate, the lights dim, and the place buzzes with a hip, fun energy.

It's become a place where I've shared great meals, laughter, and memories with friends and family.

And I can't wait to make more.

So, here's to many more nights of feasting at Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar!

Once in the restaurant, we were escorted to our table, positioned perfectly to drink in the breathtaking view from the 49th floor.

Each plate not only looked sensational but tasted exceptional, too.

From the first bite to the last, it was an explosion of flavors that had us savoring every moment.

Trapper's Fishcamp & Grill

Just the other day, I found myself at the doorstep of the renowned Trapper's Fishcamp & Grill, an intriguing blend of American and Cajun cuisine nestled right here in our city.

Walking into Trapper's is like stepping into a cozy cabin, complete with a tank housing real-life alligators and walls donned with game trophies.

This unique ambiance sets the stage for the culinary experience that awaits.

During my last visit, I was greeted with the warmest files, making me feel right at home.

My meal was a delightful mix of fresh, flavorful dishes.

As a native Texan with a Cajun half from Louisiana, I must tip my hat to the authentic Louisiana cuisine at Trapper's.

The blackened catfish and fried clam were mouth-wateringly good, served in just the right portion for lunch.

Afterward, the crawfish étouffée was a revelation - spicy yet perfectly balanced.

The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the blackened gator bites.

If you have room for dessert, explore their sweet offerings as well.

Trapper's Fishcamp & Grill is a treasure trove of unforgettable flavors and exceptional service.

Whether you want a quick bite for lunch or a hearty dinner, it's a spot worth checking out.

Hefner Grill

There's nothing quite like ending a long day at Hefner Grill.

Nestled by the lake, it's one of those iconic places to unwind with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a calming waterfront view.

On one such evening, I found myself craving a lobster roll, and where else to satisfy this craving but Hefner?

Placing an order for that delectable lobster roll, I also decided to try Paul's pasta, a divine combination of linguini, mushrooms, asparagus, artichokes, and mustard rooms, covered in Alfredo sauce and topped with chicken.

It was just as heavenly as it sounds.

One element that truly sets Hefner apart is the live music.

There's something about enjoying good food while listening to soothing live music; it makes the experience so much better.

You can also order their Sunday Brunch, a perfect way to wrap up the weekend.

A few years passed since I last visited, but upon returning, I was happy that nothing had changed; it seemed to have improved.

The service was prompt, and the food and drinks were as delightful as ever.

I was delighted with the Seared Ahi Tuna salad and wasn't disappointed.

A visit to Hefner Grill is a must for anyone seeking a sophisticated dining experience coand mesmerizing lakeside view.

The Mule

I've spent many nights at The Mule.

Nestled in the heart of Oklahoma City, this hip establishment has captured my palate time and time again.

For those who haven't had the pleasure, let me paint you a picture.

Stepping into The Mule, you're immediately hit by the inviting, casual atmosphere.

It's an open design, which adds to the bustling energy that can get a bit loud on a Friday night.

But don't let that deter you.

The lively chatter onlances the experience, making for vibrant and nostalgic evenings.

My recommendation? Start with the cheese curd appetizer.

It's a crowd-pleaser, setting the tone for the gastronomic adventure that awaits.

Follow it up with the Philly sandwich and onion rings - both homemade and authentic.

Each bite of the onion rings sends a wave of crunchiness followed by a delightful sweetness that complements the heartiness of the Philly.

If you're in the mood for something a little lighter but equally delightful, give their grilled cheese and tomato soup a shot.

It's pure comfort food, a soothing blend of flavors that makes you feel at home.

What feels impressive is the service.

And don't worry if you have a large appetite or are not a mood area lot; the portions are generous and the prices are wallet-friendly.

In a city brimming with dining options, The Mule stands out.

For its ambiance, food, and service, it’s the perfect spot for a casual night out.

It's also an experience you wouldn't miss out on.

The Jones Assembly

At the heart of downtown, there's a pathat'staurant, part concert venue, and wholly unique: The Jones Assembly.

This industrial-chic venue is a regular haunt of mine, offering a fascinating blend of live music, delicious regional American fare, and craft cocktails that linger on your palate.

I still remember the last time I was there for the free bingo night, the last one of the season.

What a blast we had!

One of their signature drinks, a watermelon slushy concoction, was the perfect refresher on a warm, bustling night.

When it comes to food, their dips and spreads are a must-try. I fondly refer to it as the 'spreads 'and bread.'

The trio of drops was phenomenal, but the hummus one stole the show for me.

Delightfully creamy, it was the perfect accompaniment to the fresh bread.

But The Jones Assembly is not just about food and drinks.

The space itself is a wonder to behold.

Its space extends beyond the patio area, housing a massive indoor seating arrangement: a considerable upstairs space room, and cozy patio.

The first time I ventured here for food, we indulged in deviled eggs, Nashville hot chicken, and a pizza alongside the dips and spreads.

Each dish was a delightful surprise, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented.

The live band added an extra layer of allure to the dining experience, their tunes complementing the atmosphere perfectly.

With an ever-changing lineup of live music, you'll find a reason to visit every time.

The Jones Assembly, with its unique blend of food, music, and history, is truly a gem in the heart of downtown.

It was just another evening in town when my friends and I decided to hit up Guyutes, a cool, modern-era relaxed bar tucked away in the city's heart.

The place was bustling with energy, the funky hip vibe resonating like a hipster'shipster'st.

As we made our way to the rooftop deck, we could see that Guyutes wassawary bar.

They were also culinary masterpieces, leaving us craving for more.

I even needed a to-go box for my pizza because I got so full from the fries.

One thing you have to know about Guyutes is that they have an impressive selection of craft brews and cocktails.

We ended the night on a high note, promising ourselves we'd be back for more.
