Ever since I heard about Alma Bistro, Cocina Latina, opening in town, I couldn't wait to try it out.
I've been a longtime fan of their sister restaurant, Don Rene Taqueria, in Milford, so I had high expectations.
I must say Alma Bistro exceeded my expectations.
The Alma Latin Bistro website does not do this place justice!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the understated elegant décor.
To start off, I shared the guacamole and black bean hummus with my friends.
Both were exceptional, with the guacamole being well-balanced and leagues above others I've tried.
The black bean hummus was so good that we asked to take the leftovers home, something I've never done before with a side dish.
One dish that will keep me coming back is the Tuna tostada.
The combination of miso, ginger, sesame oil, and avocado with fresh tuna was simply amazing.
So good, in fact, we ordered a second one.
The grilled octopus also caught my eye, and I was not disappointed.
Cooked to perfection and served with onions, celery, heirloom potatoes, and smoked pepper puree, this dish will definitely be a staple for me whenever I visit.
Another unexpected hit was the Kale Caesar salad with Cotija cheese and sunflower seeds.
I'm not usually a fan of kale, but this baby kale was delicious.
Not to mention, the Birria Taco from Don Rene Taqueria is also available at Alma, and it brought back memories of homemade beef stew from my childhood.
Primavera
One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood is Primavera, a quaint Italian restaurant with a warm atmosphere and exceptional service.

Our friends opted for the salmon and linguine bolognese, and we all agreed that our meals were delicious.
In fact, I've heard their crab cakes, scallops, and red snapper are also among the best in town.
Even though the restaurant was packed that night, they never rushed us or pressured us to pay the check.
We spent quality time catching up with our friends, and they only brought the check when we asked for it.
The reasonable prices and welcoming environment make it a perfect place for a lovely night out with friends or family.

My absolute favorite is the Dean Martin, which comes loaded with huge slices of pepperoni.
What truly sets Coals apart, however, are their mouth-watering wings.
The cilantro flavor has always been my top pick, but the Buffalo and maple rosemary are equally fantastic.
Pairing these with one of their fresh salads and creative cocktails make for a fantastic dining experience.
You might think it can't get any better, but just wait until you try the Nutella pizza for dessert!
The quirky vibe of the place, with various paintings and memorabilia, adds to the overall charm and makes you feel right at home.

I was excited to try their homemade tagliatelli and was pleased when it was served up relatively quickly, nice, and hot.
The pasta tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly al dente.
I couldn't help but devour every last bit!
My family members also enjoyed their meals, with my son raving about the rigatoni and even claiming that he could drive from Antarctica to La Picante ten times just for it!
While there were a few mixed reviews, I believe that the majority of us had a good experience at La Picante Fine Foods.

Let me tell you about this fantastic dining spot I recently visited – Restaurante da Graça.
It's so rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and it truly made me feel welcome.
I arrived around 1:40 pm on a weekday, and the buffet looked amazing.
The Churrasco (Brazilian bbq) was particularly impressive – the meats were fresh, tasty, and of excellent quality.
One thing to note is that during lunchtime, the checkout lines can get quite long.
It seems like this place is a local favorite, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.
However, from my experience, it's worth it for the delicious food and great atmosphere.

Rincon Taqueria
Ever since I discovered Rincon Taqueria, it has become my go-to spot for Mexican food in the area.
The bright and charming atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind after a long day.
I remember my first visit there – I was blown away by the portion sizes!
The fish tacos were absolutely great, but the star of the show was their pork burrito.
I kid you not, it was the biggest burrito I've ever seen.
I even had to use a fork and knife to eat it!
What really sets Rincon Taqueria apart for me is their delicious tamales.
They are so full of flavor and packed with meat that my girlfriend couldn't stop raving about them.
As a local, I also appreciate their dedication to authentic Mexican taste, even down to the scallions on every dish.
One of my favorite things about Rincon Taqueria is their cool Mexican surf vibe that reminds me of Southern California taco shops near San Diego.
Aji 10

As soon as you enter, you can feel the warm and family-friendly environment that Kazu has created.
The service is definitely one of the restaurant's highlights.
Their sushi has always been a delight to my taste buds, although I must admit that it may not be the best sushi I've ever had.
But considering we are 1000 miles from the ocean, it's pretty decent.
The restaurant is situated on a hill, which means it's a popular spot among college students.
This adds a lively and energetic vibe to the place, but it also might be a bit louder than some people would prefer.
Paella Tapas Wine Bar Restaurant
I recently dined at Paella Tapas Wine Bar Restaurant, a hidden gem in my neighborhood.
