I don't typically go out of my way to write about a restaurant, but Maki & Poke truly deserves the spotlight.

This Japanese restaurant has been my go-to spot for satisfying my poke cravings.

Trust me, finding a good poke place in Texas is no easy feat, but this gem of a restaurant has managed to bring a taste of Hawaii right to our doorstep.

Their poke bowls are absolutely delicious, with generous portions of fresh fish and an amazing house-made sauce.

Talking about variety, they also offer a small yet thoughtful selection of sashimi, basic rolls, and specials – all consistently top-notch in quality.

Plus, Maki & Poke is BYOB, making it a perfect hangout spot for a casual night with friends.

Ocha FTW Thai Cuisine

You don't know the joy of discovering a hidden gem like Ocha FTW Thai Cuisine until you've tasted their authentic and delicious Thai dishes.

Even though I'm an hour away, I can't resist making the drive just for a taste of their amazing food.

The restaurant welcomes you with its easygoing atmosphere and brightly colored walls, which instantly makes you feel comfortable.

Their menu offers a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes that leave your taste buds craving for more.

Personally, I can't get enough of their basil fried rice - it's simply phenomenal.

Just make sure to choose your spice level wisely because it can get pretty spicy!

Not only is the food exceptional, but the customer service is also top-notch.

Kabylo's Pizza By the Slice

I have to say that Kabylo's Pizza By the Slice has become our family's favorite pizza spot.

It's hard to find authentic New York-style pizza outside of the city itself, but Kabylo's has truly nailed it.

We absolutely love their 'one large cheese and one large pepperoni' special, which is more than enough to feed our family of four with some leftovers for the next day.

Plus, the option to buy pizza by the slice makes it easy to try out different flavors or grab a quick meal on the go.

The limited seating inside creates an intimate setting, perfect for catching up with friends or family while enjoying a slice of the best pizza in town.

Boulevard Cafe

I must say, the Boulevard Cafe has quickly become one of my go-to spots for breakfast and lunch.

The first time I went there was on a crowded Sunday morning, but luckily, the wait wasn't long.

Can you believe that they told us it would be a 20-minute wait, and we got seated in less than 10 minutes?

One of my favorite dishes to order there is the Classic Breakfast Combo, which comes with two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, two pieces of sausage, and two eggs.

I once tried their Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and they were delicious without being too sweet.

A friend of mine ordered the Smoke Salmon Benedict and loved it as well.

I also love the decor and the overall atmosphere of the place, and I'm always looking forward to coming back.

One thing I can't get enough of is their Chicken "club" sandwich or the Boulevard on white toast.

It's a huge sandwich that's worth every penny, and don't get me started on their fries – they are the best in the area!

Yum Yum Kabob

I can't believe it took me this long to finally try out Yum Yum Kabob. This unassuming eatery serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine, with mouth-watering dishes like shawarma, meat skewers, and gyros.

Plus, they have a great hookah spot for those who enjoy it.

I ordered the Shish combo, and I was blown away by the tenderness and flavor of the meats!

The grilled carrots were also a delightful surprise, and I couldn't get enough of their hummus.

Aside from the food, Yum Yum Kabob also offers a peaceful and quiet ambiance during the daytime, with occasional evening entertainment.

Kahunas

If you're craving some delicious Hawaiian cuisine, you absolutely have to try Kahunas.

Since I started going there, I've become a regular customer, and I can't get enough of their amazing food.

One of my favorite dishes at Kahunas is the Big Kahuna Poke Bowl, which has plenty of fresh fish and edamame.

My partner and I also love the Shoyu Ramen with its tender chargrilled pork and marinated eggs.

But the real standout for us is the Pacific Poke Nachos – freshly fried and topped with an abundance of fresh salmon.

Another dish that we can't get enough of is the kimchi fries with pork – they're absolutely mouthwatering!

My partner is a big fan of the Hawaiian “Loco Moco” – a unique combination of gravy on rice that has quickly become one of his favorites.

Berry Best BBQ

I've always been a fan of barbecue, and I must admit I've found a new favorite spot in town – Berry Best BBQ.

As a resident who enjoys exploring local food, I've had my fair share of delicious meals, but this place takes the cake!

The first time I tried Berry Best BBQ, I opted for the Brisket Sandwich combo, which comes with a side and a 20oz drink.

I chose the Greens as my side, and boy, were they a delight!

They had a spicy kick and a mouthwatering flavor that made me crave more.

My friend, who accompanied me, decided to try the ribs and baked beans, and they were equally fantastic!

Everything was served hot, fresh, and with an excellent taste that made us instantly fall in love with this joint.

During a later visit, my partner and I decided to venture out and try The Hangover Potatoes with chopped brisket.

This dish was a mountain of smoky, tender goodness, and we were left with enough leftovers for another meal.

The brisket just melted in our mouths, and we knew we had found our go-to spot for some smoky BBQ goodness.

Every time we visited, the place was bustling with activity, which speaks volumes about its popularity.

Taqueria Taxco

I have to admit I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, and I consider myself lucky to have Taqueria Taxco right here in my neighborhood.

Their food never disappoints, and their friendly service makes every visit enjoyable.

Last week, I went there with my family, and the torta we ordered was amazing - they even put real pineapple in the pastor!

We also tried the breakfast plate, which was nothing short of delicious.

One thing I absolutely adore is their salsa verde, which adds a perfect kick to any dish.

But the real showstopper of the evening was their churros - some of the best I've ever had, no exaggeration.

During our visit, we were so busy enjoying the delicious food that we didn't even have time to take any photos.

On another visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Barbacoa tacos, which were simply divine.

Chan's Mongolian Grill

My friends and I decided to visit Chan's Mongolian Grill this past Sunday evening, and it was a delightful experience.

I absolutely loved the concept of creating my own stir-fry dish using their wide variety of ingredients.

Our group's total bill came to just under a hundred dollars, which I think is pretty reasonable for eight people.

Stop-n-go Gyros

Just last week, I decided to try out a new Mediterranean restaurant called Stop-n-go Gyros in North Fort Worth.

I had heard from friends that it was a great place to find authentic gyros and shawarma, so I thought it was worth checking out.

As soon as I walked in, I could tell that it was going to be a great experience. I opted for a traditional gyro and a side of green fries.

The gyro was seriously one of the best I've ever had, and the green fries were a unique and flavorful side dish.

I also couldn't help but overhear a fellow diner, who happened to be Lebanese, raving about the beef shawarma plate and falafel salad.

She mentioned that the falafel was amazing.

Tokyo Sushi Asian Food and Bar

Tokyo Sushi Asian Food and Bar is one of my favorite go-to places for sushi and Asian cuisine.

Their website Tokyo Sushi NRH gives a great glimpse of what they have to offer, but the experience in person is even more amazing.

My first visit to this hidden gem was about a year ago, and since then, I have been a regular at the restaurant.

I have tried various dishes from their menu, and I have never been disappointed.

In fact, as someone with food allergies, I appreciate their attention to detail when it comes to quality and ingredients.

Whether I'm dining in or getting take-out, I constantly find myself trying new combinations of dishes, and somehow, everything seems to go together perfectly.

The atmosphere at Tokyo Sushi is welcoming and clean, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion.

Being a local, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting places to dine.

I recently discovered Hawaiian Bros Island Grill and was instantly captivated by the authentic Hawaiian flavors and welcoming atmosphere.

I took her advice and opted for the Molokai Chicken, a flavorful dish featuring tender, marinated chicken accompanied by macaroni salad and white rice.

The meal was an absolute delight, with the rich flavors of the chicken perfectly complemented by the creamy macaroni salad and fluffy white rice.

During my visit, I also tried Spam Musubi, a popular Hawaiian snack consisting of grilled Spam on a bed of rice wrapped in nori.

It was a delicious introduction to the unique flavors of Hawaiian cuisine and has become one of my favorite treats.

To drink, I chose melon water, which was a refreshing and fruity beverage that added an extra touch of tropical flair to my meal.

I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant, which only added to the overall pleasant dining experience.

Herbs Indian Cuisine (Hurst)

As a fan of Indian food, I was ecstatic when I discovered Herbs Indian Cuisine in my neighborhood.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much as it's located in a strip mall, but once you step inside, the atmosphere is completely transformed.

The decor and ambiance are so relaxing and calming, making it the perfect spot for a special meal or even just a casual lunch.

I've visited the restaurant several times now, and I must say that their lunch buffet, which is reasonably priced, offers an excellent selection of authentic Indian dishes.

The food is always fresh and hot, even if I get there just before the buffet closes at 2:30 pm.

The à la carte menu is equally impressive.

Miss Saigon Cafe (Hurst)

On my frequent visits to Hurst, Texas, I've tried many Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but one place that always stands out for me is Miss Saigon Cafe.

It's not just the food that's amazing, but the whole experience of dining there is really something special.

I usually order the pho and trust me when I say that it's one of the best I've ever had.

The broth is always flavorful and rich, and the noodles are cooked to perfection.

And don't even get me started on their crispy egg rolls - they are simply divine!

One of the things I appreciate the most about Miss Saigon Cafe is the relaxed atmosphere.

It's the perfect place to unwind after a long day at work or catch up with friends over a delicious meal.

Plus, the prices are very reasonable, which is always a bonus.

Cafe Medi (Hurst)

Cafe Medi has been my go-to spot whenever I crave Greek and Mediterranean cuisine in Hurst.

Their cozy terrace, where they offer hookahs, adds an extra touch of relaxation and enjoyment to the overall dining experience.

One night, my friends and I decided to have dinner at Cafe Medi.

We started our meal with a variety of dips and some fresh pita bread that came warm and soft.

For our main course, I opted for the Shawarma combo, which turned out to be an excellent choice.

My friends ordered the Moussaka and the Cabbage Rolls, which they enjoyed just as much as I enjoyed my dish.

What struck us the most was the generous portion sizes – we ended up taking home food in to-go boxes!

Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine (Hurst)

I love discovering local gems in my neighborhood, and Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine is one of them.

One Saturday in February, I decided to give it a try for lunch, and I couldn't be happier with my experience.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the homey atmosphere and the warm colors that adorned the restaurant.

The decor was unique and not tacky, which added to the charm of the place.

The service at Sweet Basil was exceptional.

I appreciated their professionalism and how well they catered to families with small children.

The restroom was also spotless, which is always a good sign in a restaurant.

As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing. I ordered veggie spring rolls, which tasted fresh and delicious.

I also had the yellow tofu curry with an extra spicy kick and a chicken pad Thai that was perfectly balanced, not too overwhelming, with tamarind sauce.

I couldn't help but clean my plate!

Thai Thip (Hurst)

Let me tell you about my recent visit to Thai Thip, an amazing Thai restaurant in Hurst.

My friends and I had been craving some authentic Thai cuisine, and we stumbled upon their website.

We were so glad we did! This simple eatery offers a variety of Thai dishes, including vegan and vegetarian options, which catered to everyone's preferences.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, casual atmosphere and friendly service.

We started off with the curry puffs and shrimp blankets, which were absolutely divine.

After trying their panang curry, I can confidently say it's one of the best I've ever had - flavorful and rich.

The mango sticky rice was the perfect way to finish off our meal.

As someone who has dietary restrictions, I appreciated how easily customizable their menu is for vegetarians and vegans.

Most entrees allow you to choose your protein, so I opted for tofu in my Mixed Vegetable Delight.

My friends raved about their Spicy Basil Duck, which is one of their house specialties.

The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.

Pho One (Hurst)

I've been to Pho One several times, and the experience has always been delightful.

The great Pho and excellent service keep me coming back.

I remember having pho, vermicelli, and shrimp spring rolls for lunch with my son. The food was amazing, and the service was quick.

Another time, I had beef pho and spring rolls with water to drink.

What drew me to Pho One initially was a recommendation from DFW Foodies.

The beautiful and modern interior, complete with a tropical fish tank at the entrance, made a great first impression.

The service is fast and friendly, earning an A+ from me.

During one visit, I tried the Oxtail Pho, but it was undercooked, and the meat wouldn't come off the bone.

On another visit, I had the Veggie Summer Rolls, which were delightful.

My friends had chicken fried rice, beef Pho with flank and fatty brisket, and Mango Boba - all of which were delicious.

La Bistro Italian Grill (Hurst)

As a long-time resident in the area, I can't help but keep coming back to La Bistro Italian Grill.

They have been serving delicious traditional Italian food since 1984, and it's always a treat to dine there.

The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, making it perfect for a date night or a family dinner.

One of my favorite things about La Bistro is their frequent specials.

They keep the menu fresh and exciting, so every visit feels like a new experience.

On my last visit, I ordered the Chicken Sunrise, and it was absolutely amazing.

The chicken was so tender, and the flavors were spot on.

My friends and I also shared the crab-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, and it was beyond excellent.

The bread is always fresh and warm, and the date cake is a must-try - it's moist and full of flavor.

Another thing that makes La Bistro stand out is the live piano music.

It adds a touch of elegance and romance to the whole dining experience.

It's true that the prices at La Bistro Italian Grill can be a bit on the expensive side, but in my opinion, the atmosphere, service, and quality of the food justify it.
