Over the years, I have dined at many different places around the city, but none have left quite the impression on me as One Seventy Nine Bar and Grill.
My friends and I decided to try this place out for a friend's birthday celebration, and we were totally amazed by our experience.

The Bronzino, Salmon, Seafood pasta, and Prime New York Strip steak were all divine and cooked to perfection.

Their steak tacos and fries were a pleasant surprise.
However, not every dish landed; the chicken parm meal didn't quite meet my expectations.
It seemed a bit overpriced for the portion size, and I would have liked more cheese on it.
Even the cheesecake, though it may have been homemade, was more of a sliver than a slice.

It was just another Saturday night when I decided to pay a visit to Tlaquepaque.

Not only was the food great, but the service was stellar.
They made sure that every customer was treated like family.
Next time, I'm looking to try the mango shrimp that is served with rice and salad, and I've heard that the camarones a la diabla is a must-try for spicy.
Tecalitlan Restaurant
Every Sunday morning, the bustling streets of my neighborhood lead me to one place: Tecalitlan Mexican Restaurant.

I have to say, the calamari was cooked to perfection - not rubbery at all.
The dipping sauce it came with was simply divine.
Then came our main dishes, the linguine Vongole for me and the special linguine dish with shrimp for my boyfriend.
My pasta was easily the best I’ve had in a while, loaded with clams and just the right amount of garlic to balance out the flavors.
I didn’t get to try my boyfriend’s dish, but he seemed to enjoy it more than mine, mentioning a delightful kick of spice.

Dubrovnik, located in New York, is one such treasure.
It's a high-end bar and eatery right here that brings traditional Croatian delicacies to life in an old-world atmosphere.
Once you step into the backyard of Dubrovnik, you feel like you've been transported to the Adriatic coastline.
It feels like a small European garden, with the coals of an outdoor oven adding to the ambiance.

The fish, even though transported from as far away as New Zealand, and the oysters from Canada, still maintain the authentic Croatian taste.

And yes, they do have valet parking, which just adds to the charm of this place.
Now, I've been to a lot of dinner places, but my dinner at Dubrovnik on Valentine’s Day was something special.
The wild boar, the venison, and the elk on the menu were adventurous choices, but the freshly made pasta and the aroma of truffles in the risotto were simply divine.
The food is not cheap, but the experience and the explosion of flavors in your mouth are well worth the price.
And don't get me started on their house-made olive oil - it is exceptional.

I remember the time when I tried their rib eye cheese steak sandwich, it was absolutely delicious, and it left me craving for more.

The minute you step into AJ's Burgers, you'll feel at home.
