Corner Cafe
I’ve been living in this area for quite some time now, and the Corner Cafe has truly become a beloved spot for my family and me.
Whenever we're craving some delicious home-style food, this is our favorite place.
The food is always fresh and made with quality ingredients, making every bite an absolute delight.
One of the things I love most about Corner Cafe is its warm and welcoming atmosphere.
My kids particularly enjoy the biscuit with sausage gravy, and I must admit, it's become one of my favorites too!
The outdoor patio is also perfect for when we want to bring our furry friend along.
They're super pet-friendly, even providing bacon and water for our dog.
It's little gestures like these that make Corner Cafe a standout amongst other family restaurants.
The Office 842
Every weekend, I find myself drawn to The Office 842, a fantastic all-day lounge in our town.
It has become my local pick for catching up with friends, grabbing a bite, or simply relaxing after a long week.
This place has it all – creative cocktails, a robust beer list, and a variety of food options to satisfy any craving.
One of the best things about The Office 842 is their all-day Happy Hour on Sundays.
I've had their Cadillac margaritas, and they are absolutely delicious!
Their waffle fries are perfectly seasoned, and the fact that they air fry everything instead of using oil makes it a healthier option than other places.
My partner is also a big fan of the ranch they serve with their fries.
I've never had a bad experience here, and it's always bustling with happy patrons.
Their Garden Bloody Mary has just the right amount of zing, and the Espressotini is the perfect sweet finish to any meal.
I can't wait to bring more friends and family to The Office 842 so they can experience this amazing local gem for themselves.
This upscale lounge truly stands out among other establishments in our area and never fails to impress!
Grant's at the Monticello Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Grant's at the Monticello Hotel, an American restaurant located in the historic Monticello Hotel in Longview, WA.
The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the crystal chandeliers, original wooden walls, and beautiful tin ceilings.
The hotel itself houses three different restaurants, apartments, a coffee shop, and even a ballroom for various events.
The food at Grant's was delicious!
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with sautéed zucchini and yellow squash, which was incredibly tasty.
As a fun touch, the bottled water they served came from old bottles that used to hold 560 vodka – they sanitize and reuse them to add some more history to the place.
One of the highlights of my visit was seeing the old piano against the back wall near the ballroom.
It has a unique design that doesn't quite resemble the pianos we see today, and there's a stunning grandfather clock next to it with gorgeous wooden housing.
I'm still curious to know what type of wood it is, so if anyone knows, please enlighten me!
While it's no longer a hotel for overnight stays, I can't help but wish that they would restore some of the rooms to their original condition, as it would be a fantastic experience to spend a night in such a historical building.
The elevator is original to the building and open for viewing, but I don't believe it's in use for transportation anymore.
Pancake House
I've been going to Pancake House in Longview for years now, and it has always been my top choice for breakfast and brunch with family and friends.
Their website showcases their classic breakfast and brunch options that cater to everyone's taste buds.
The service at Pancake House is always top-notch.
I love their old-fashioned diner vibe, and it's a perfect setting for a cozy meal.
My personal favorite dish is the patty melt with grilled onions and curly fries - it's simply scrumptious!
And although I haven't tried their filled pancakes yet, I've seen them on other tables, and they look absolutely amazing.
Sushi Sakura Restaurant
I recently dined at Sushi Sakura Restaurant, and it was quite the experience!
The food was delicious, and the portions were generous, which is always a pleasant surprise.
My friends and I ordered a couple of sushi rolls and the chicken katsu - we ended up with so many leftovers!
The service was attentive and quick, even though there were only a few tables occupied when we arrived.
One of the things that set Sushi Sakura apart from other sushi spots in Longview is that it's genuinely authentic - with the rolls prepared right in front of us.
It doesn't get any better than that.
While the atmosphere at Sushi Sakura could use a little sprucing up, it's a minor issue that doesn't detract from the overall experience.
The fish tank by the entrance is a nice touch, but the decor could use a bit more pizzazz.
Siam Spice
I have to say that one of my favorite spots in town is Siam Spice, a Thai restaurant that never disappoints.
I remember the first time I walked in, the spacious interior immediately caught my attention - it's always a plus to dine in a comfortable and uncrowded environment.
The menu offers a wide range of delicious options, and their prices are quite reasonable.
I often find myself ordering the pad Thai, which is mouthwateringly good, and the yellow curry, that's always cooked to perfection.
Every time I visit, I look forward to trying out new dishes as well.
One thing that stood out to me during my visits is the warm and friendly atmosphere.
The music played at the restaurant is also a nice touch, with 80's hits creating a relaxed vibe.
Thai in Town
I recently discovered another amazing Thai restaurant called Thai in Town, and I couldn't be happier with my find.
The food here is absolutely delicious, with dishes cooked to perfection.
I tried the drunken noodles, which were not only scrumptious but also came in a very generous portion - I couldn't even finish it all!
The pumpkin curry was another delight, with just the right amount of spiciness and fantastic flavor.
The restaurant itself has a cozy, hole-in-the-wall vibe, making it a hidden gem in our community.
One of my favorite dishes from Thai in Town is their coconut soup, which traditionally comes with chicken, but can also be made vegetarian upon request.
I also love their green curry fried rice, which is simply divine.
The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are more than generous.
The first time I tried Thai food was actually at Thai in Town, and it was a delightful experience!
The menu is easy to understand, with helpful pictures to visualize the dishes.
I ordered a Pad Thai for my main meal, along with coconut shrimp, fried spring rolls, and chicken curry puffs for appetizers.
The serving sizes were so large that I had leftovers for lunch the next day.
Country Folks Deli
I absolutely love going to Country Folks Deli in my neighborhood!
It's such a charming little spot that takes me back in time with its old-school, retro vibe.
Every time I visit, I'm amazed at the variety of food options available at such reasonable prices.
One of my favorite things to order is their sandwiches, especially the triple club - it's so filling that you can easily split it with someone.
And let's not forget their delicious beer cheese soup!
The bread they serve is just outstanding, and I can never resist ordering a classic dessert or milkshake to top off my meal.
I remember one time when we had a reservation for a large group after a graveside service, and they took such great care of us, making us feel loved and cared for on a really emotional day.
That kind of service is truly priceless.
UnPhogettable2
As someone who enjoys a good bowl of pho, I was thrilled to discover UnPhogettable2 right in my neighborhood.
The food here is absolutely incredible, with their Pho Gà stealing my heart.
The broth is light but packed with flavor, and the vegetables are always fresh and delicious.
The atmosphere at UnPhogettable2 is cozy and comforting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a hot bowl of pho on a cold day.
The service is friendly and efficient, ensuring that you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
During one of my visits, I decided to try their appetizers as well, and I was not disappointed.
The chicken wings with garlic were particularly tasty, and my partner loved the grilled shrimp noodle bowl.
Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge
One of my favorite spots to grab a delicious meal in town is the Kim Bowl Restaurant & Lounge.
This Chinese restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a mix of Chinese and American dishes, all served on lazy susans under lively lanterns.
The atmosphere is always festive and inviting, making it a great spot for a night out with friends or a family dinner.
The food at Kim Bowl is simply amazing!
They offer a variety of options, including lo mein, burgers, and my personal favorite - the crab puffs.
Their egg flour soup is also top-notch, boasting the perfect consistency and flavor.
The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, which makes Kim Bowl an excellent choice for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
In addition to the great food, the service at Kim Bowl is always fast and friendly.
What really sets this place apart, though, is its convenient location just across the street from the Columbia Theater.
El Ranchero
Just the other night, I had the pleasure of visiting El Ranchero with my family.
It was our first time at this Mexican restaurant, and the positive reviews were spot on.
The moment that really stood out to me was when our food arrived - not only was it timely, but it was also piping hot and beautifully presented.
The portion sizes were massive, and the free chips and salsa were a bonus!
We couldn't get enough of the delicious salsa.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with classic Mexican décor, making it a perfect spot for a family dinner or a fun night out with friends.
My Thai Kitchen
I have been to My Thai Kitchen a few times.
The Phud Thai I had was quite delicious, and the shrimp rolls were fantastic.
I went back a few more times, and I must admit that their main dishes are fantastic.
I've tried their Drunken Noodles, Chicken Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry, all of which were really delightful.
I learned that it's better to opt for medium or above spice levels, as the mild option can make the dishes a bit bland.
Guadalajara Grill & Cantina
As a frequent patron of Guadalajara Grill & Cantina, I can confidently say that it's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some delicious Mexican cuisine.
The restaurant offers an ideal balance of a classy, romantic ambiance and a fun, casual atmosphere with TVs displaying sports games.
It's a great place for date night or even a family dinner.
The food is always top-notch and reasonably priced.
In fact, I often find myself craving their cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans.
I also appreciate their unique twist on the traditional refried beans.
One of my favorite things to indulge in is their chunky guacamole - it's simply divine!
If you're a fan of margaritas, you won't want to miss their "Best in Town Margarita," which is not only huge but also absolutely delicious.
Don Angel Taqueria
I recently discovered Don Angel Taqueria, a Mexican restaurant in my neighborhood, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a delicious and hearty meal.
The chicken taquitos are mouth-wateringly good, and the beef taco salad is simply divine.
When you walk into the restaurant, you'll immediately notice how clean and well-maintained it is.
The menu is extensive, with pictures of every dish, making it easy for me to decide what I want to try next.
I also appreciate the fact that Don Angel Taqueria took over the space previously occupied by New Moon, giving the location a much-needed facelift.
I tried their barria once, and it was way better than the ones I've had at pricier, fancier establishments.
Hop-N-Grape
I had heard about Hop-N-Grape from some friends and finally decided to give it a try.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly service and was seated quickly.
I brought my service dog with me, and they were extremely accommodating, even providing water for him.
The brewing & winemaking supplies store attached to the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, and I couldn't resist picking up some apple wine for later.
I opted for the pepper Jack Mac and cheese, which was creamy and delicious.
On another visit, I tried their cobb salad with smoked salmon, and the salad was fresh and tasty.
The beer choices were also unique and enjoyable.
Monarca Restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of trying out Monarca Restaurant, which happens to be a Mexican restaurant in our lovely town.
It's a great place to go if you're in the mood for some tasty Mexican cuisine.
I tried their tacos de asada which were really good, and their red sauce was absolutely amazing!
I also gave the quesobirria a try, and it was delectable.
One thing to keep in mind when visiting Monarca Restaurant with kids is that there aren't any chicken nuggets on the menu, and the only available drinks for kids are sodas.
Porky's Public House & Eatery
Last week, my partner and I decided to grab dinner at Porky's Public House & Eatery, and we had a great time.
The fried pickles were so delicious that I can't stop thinking about them!
The restaurant has a huge beer and drink selection, which my partner enjoyed exploring.
The food was good, but the brisket sandwich was flavorful.
The overall meal and vibe were great, and we've decided we'll definitely be going back for more.
Los Pepe's Longview
I absolutely love dining at Los Pepe's Longview.
This Mexican restaurant has quickly become my favorite spot for delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine.
The food is always so filling and mouth-watering, and their menu is quite extensive, offering various yummy options to choose from.
One thing I particularly appreciate about Los Pepe's is their attention to cleanliness.
I was so impressed to see that their restroom was not only clean but also equipped with a baby changing station, making dining there with my little one a breeze.
The new location, which has been open for just a week, is even more inviting with its outdoor seating, remodeled and clean look, and spacious layout.
Plus, it has a separate bar area, perfect for hanging out with friends.
Final Thoughts
The diverse array of dining options in Longview truly offers something for everyone.
I have enjoyed countless delicious meals at these establishments, from indulging in a hearty breakfast at Pancake House to savoring the authentic flavors of Mexico at Guadalajara Grill & Cantina.
