One of the things I love most about Corner Cafe is its warm and welcoming atmosphere.
My kids particularly enjoy the biscuit with sausage gravy, and I must admit, it's become one of my favorites too!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Grant's at the Monticello Hotel, an American restaurant located in the historic Monticello Hotel in Longview, WA.
The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the crystal chandeliers, original wooden walls, and beautiful tin ceilings.
The hotel itself houses three different restaurants, apartments, a coffee shop, and even a ballroom for various events.
The food at Grant's was delicious!
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with sautéed zucchini and yellow squash, which was incredibly tasty.
As a fun touch, the bottled water they served came from old bottles that used to hold 560 vodka – they sanitize and reuse them to add some more history to the place.
One of the highlights of my visit was seeing the old piano against the back wall near the ballroom.
It has a unique design that doesn't quite resemble the pianos we see today, and there's a stunning grandfather clock next to it with gorgeous wooden housing.
I'm still curious to know what type of wood it is, so if anyone knows, please enlighten me!
While it's no longer a hotel for overnight stays, I can't help but wish that they would restore some of the rooms to their original condition, as it would be a fantastic experience to spend a night in such a historical building.
The elevator is original to the building and open for viewing, but I don't believe it's in use for transportation anymore.

I've been going to Pancake House in Longview for years now, and it has always been my top choice for breakfast and brunch with family and friends.

The service at Pancake House is always top-notch.
I love their old-fashioned diner vibe, and it's a perfect setting for a cozy meal.

I learned that it's better to opt for medium or above spice levels, as the mild option can make the dishes a bit bland.
Guadalajara Grill & Cantina
As a frequent patron of Guadalajara Grill & Cantina, I can confidently say that it's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some delicious Mexican cuisine.
The restaurant offers an ideal balance of a classy, romantic ambiance and a fun, casual atmosphere with TVs displaying sports games.
It's a great place for date night or even a family dinner.
The food is always top-notch and reasonably priced.
In fact, I often find myself craving their cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans.
I also appreciate their unique twist on the traditional refried beans.
One of my favorite things to indulge in is their chunky guacamole - it's simply divine!

The brewing & winemaking supplies store attached to the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, and I couldn't resist picking up some apple wine for later.
I opted for the pepper Jack Mac and cheese, which was creamy and delicious.
On another visit, I tried their cobb salad with smoked salmon, and the salad was fresh and tasty.
The beer choices were also unique and enjoyable.
Monarca Restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of trying out Monarca Restaurant, which happens to be a Mexican restaurant in our lovely town.
It's a great place to go if you're in the mood for some tasty Mexican cuisine.
I tried their tacos de asada which were really good, and their red sauce was absolutely amazing!
I also gave the quesobirria a try, and it was delectable.
One thing to keep in mind when visiting Monarca Restaurant with kids is that there aren't any chicken nuggets on the menu, and the only available drinks for kids are sodas.

Last week, my partner and I decided to grab dinner at Porky's Public House & Eatery, and we had a great time.
The fried pickles were so delicious that I can't stop thinking about them!
The restaurant has a huge beer and drink selection, which my partner enjoyed exploring.
