Yafa Hummus
Just the other day, I visited Yafa Hummus for a quick bite, and let me tell you, their food never disappoints!
I absolutely love their large portions and reasonable prices.
My usual order is the Back Home Style, which I highly recommend - the generous amounts of meat in their Gyro Wrap is perfect for satisfying my hunger.
I've also taken my daughter to Yafa Hummus a couple of times, and she loves it too!
We usually order the gyro, shawarma bowl, side of falafel, and some hummus to share.

On arrival, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and personalized "Happy Anniversary" paper menus, which I thought was a wonderful touch.
As for the food, we were blown away by the bone-in pork chop, halibut, and especially the deep-fried cabbage and pepper appetizer served with a scrumptious homemade dipping sauce.
Ben's Burgers
I've been visiting Ben's Burgers since I was five years old, and even now, at the age of 39, the place holds a special place in my heart.

The service at Shwe Myanmar was friendly and attentive, with decent prices and portion sizes.
The menu remains the same for lunch and dinner, making it a great option for any time of day.
My omnivore partner also thoroughly enjoyed his pork garlic noodles, making joyful food noises throughout the meal.
Posada Alta Cocina
I decided to celebrate my anniversary at Posada Alta Cocina, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary.
They seated us at a semi-private table in the wine cellar, which was a perfect setting for our celebration.
We followed her suggestions and were blown away by the flavors of each dish.
The cauliflower appetizer, guacamole with blackened shrimp, ribeye entree, and steak and lobster entree were all incredible.
And to top it off, we had the flan and churros for dessert, which were the perfect end to our meal.
The atmosphere of Posada Alta Cocina is inviting and offers a beautiful Southwestern decor.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating, which provided a lovely ambiance for our dinner.
The ingredients used in the dishes were fresh and flavorful, making for a truly delicious experience.
Americano
I must say, ever since I discovered Americano in Livermore, my love for sandwiches has reached new heights.
It started when a friend mentioned that we're lucky to live here because we can savor "the best sandwiches" at this lovely spot.
Intrigued, I decided to try their takeout sandwiches when some relatives were in town, and we all instantly fell in love with the delicious taste.
Since then, I've been a regular customer, picking up takeout twice and trying various sandwiches, like the Californian, Southern Belle, and Just Joshing.
Each of them is just as amazing as the last!
So far, I've enjoyed their food in the comfort of my home, but I look forward to experiencing their cute dining room and outdoor seating area soon.
Also, their American-Italian menu offers a great selection of classics, each one generously portioned and made with high-quality ingredients.
Nick The Greek
I've had my fair share of trying out different eateries in town.
One place that has recently caught my attention is Nick The Greek.
My partner and I were looking for a new place to eat, and we decided to give this Greek restaurant a shot.
Right from the entrance, the place is well-presented with a nice covered, off-road, outside eating area and a spacious, clean, modern inside eating area with comfortable seating.
We both ordered Gyros, and I must say, they were some of the best we've had in California.
I got the Beef/Lamb Gyro with Nick's Fries, and my partner tried the Chicken Gyro with a side of falafel.
The portions were generously meaty, and the Gyros were well put together with a bit of salad and no sign of the pita being soaked through with too much runny sauce.
The fries were real potatoes, well seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
It wasn't just the Gyros that impressed us, though.
The green salad that came with our meals was well dressed in olive oil, salt, and pepper - simple but so tasty when you actually want to taste the lettuce.
To top off our meal, we decided to share a small dessert of beignets, which were freshly fried, light, and the perfect sweet treat to end our dining experience.
Hanabishi Japanese Cuisine
As someone who lives in the area, I have visited Hanabishi Japanese Cuisine a few times, and I must admit, it's a great spot for a quick sushi fix.
The service is always friendly and efficient, and the menu offers a wide variety of dishes at affordable prices.
One thing that stands out for me is their green salad, which is by far one of the best I've had in a Japanese restaurant.
I also love their spicy tuna, it's a must-try!
For a better option, you can try their tskimino, which is good to add to it.
For takeout, I once ordered a chirashi and California rolls, and they were ready within 15 minutes.
They were also accommodating enough to substitute tuna for the tamago in the chirashi, which I appreciated.
El Chaparrito Taqueria
I had the pleasure of visiting El Chaparrito Taqueria recently to try their super burrito.
I went with the el Pastor and shared it with my partner on my birthday.
The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful landscaping outside.
They brought in some stunning cactus plants, and you can tell the love and effort they put into the presentation - which definitely translates to their food.
The El Pastor super burrito was delicious, and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu items.
The cleanliness of the place is also worth noting; it was spotless, and I even saw them sweeping the floor while I was there.
Tommy Katsu
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tommy Katsu, and I must say, it has quickly become my go-to sushi spot in town.
As soon as I walked in, I was impressed by the simple yet cozy ambiance of the restaurant, featuring comfortable seating and unique beer bottle decorations lining the walls.
I decided to try the shrimp tempura roll topped with sauced imi crab, and it was such a pleasant surprise!
The generous portions of fish and minimal rice in each piece really highlighted the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
The multi-colored roe-topped sushi, adorned with a tiny flower, was not only visually appealing but tasted amazing as well.
During my visit, I also enjoyed their delicious garlic edamame and a bowl of incredibly savory miso soup.
Manpuku
I have been a regular at Manpuku whenever I crave sushi and ramen.
The place may not boast the best sushi and ramen I've ever had, but what I truly appreciate about it is the friendly service and the affordable pricing for the amount of food they serve.
I usually visit Manpuku for lunch, and the food comes out really quickly.
I never seem to have trouble finding a seat since it doesn't get too packed.
One time, I was extremely hungry and ended up ordering twice my usual amount, and it still only cost me around $20 – which I think is pretty good.
Plus, the food consistently satisfies my Japanese food cravings.
Louise's Fish & Chips
There's nothing quite like indulging in some good ol' comfort food after a long day, and Louise's Fish & Chips is my go-to spot for that in the area.
I absolutely love their delicious, deep-fried fish and chips!
They don't just stop at fish, though - they have a fantastic fry on shrimp, oysters, calamari, mushrooms, and more.
It reminds me of the classic H. Salt Fish & Chips I used to enjoy.
Their pricing is pretty competitive, too - I can easily feed my family of four with their combo pack for just $40, which includes six pieces of fish, 16 shrimp, and fries.
Whenever I crave some fried goodness, I usually just place an order over the phone for in-store pickup at their location.
I'm always impressed with their quick turnaround time - most of my orders are ready within 15 minutes of placing them.
Tri-Valley
As someone who lives in the area, I've been fortunate enough to enjoy the delicious dishes from China Garden Restaurant on numerous occasions.

This longtime Chinese eatery offers generous plates of classic fare in a simple space with subtle decor.
My personal favorite at China Garden is the Mongolian Beef plate - the meat is always tender and full of flavor.
My family members also love dishes like sweet and sour pork and beef broccoli.
Some of my new favorites include Spicy Crispy Tofu, Mapo Tofu, Chicken and Corn soup, and the Combination Chow Mein.
Their Mapo Tofu, in particular, reminds me of my mom's cooking and hits just the right spice levels.
Wasabi Bistro
One of my favorite spots to grab sushi in town is Wasabi Bistro.
I've been going there for years, and I can vouch for the freshness and quality of their sashimi.
My personal favorite is the sake sashimi donburi which never disappoints.
Their tofu appetizer is also a must-try with its soft center and crispy exterior.
I usually opt for take-out since the waiting time for pickups can be a bit longer than in some other places, but I know it's because they prepare everything fresh.
Some of my go-to rolls include the Dancing Shrimp, Caterpillar, Dragon, and Spicy Tuna.
Recently, I also tried their Hot Mama and Kiss of Fire rolls, which were both fantastic.
Tin Thai Kitchen
One of my favorite spots in town is definitely Tin Thai Kitchen.
As someone who loves flavorful and authentic Thai cuisine, this place never disappoints.
I've been to this cheery restaurant quite a few times, and it's always been a treat.
The small plates they serve here are inspired by the street vendors of Thailand, which adds a unique and exciting touch to the dining experience.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is always top-notch.
The curry puffs are a must-try – they're the perfect blend of Thai and Indian flavors.
I also highly recommend the chicken drunken noodles; they're always cooked to perfection, and the chicken is never stringy or tough.

One other thing that I love about Tin Thai Kitchen is that they are dog-friendly, which makes it an even more enjoyable experience for me as a dog owner.
