Rosniyom Thai Street Food
Being a resident of the area, I've had the pleasure of dining at Rosniyom Thai Street Food several times.
This quaint little restaurant has quickly become my top choice for Thai cuisine in the Bay Area.
The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the mouth-watering aroma of wok-cooked dishes, which is a testament to the chef's expertise.
One of my favorite dishes to order here is the Panang curry, but I've never been disappointed by any of their menu items.
I highly recommend trying their fried pumpkin and satay chicken as starters.
Moreover, their Thai tea is absolutely delicious and a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.
What I appreciate most about Rosniyom Thai Street Food is their ability to prepare fresh, made-to-order dishes without overpowering flavors.
The spicy, salty, and sugary tastes are all well-balanced, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience.
I recently dined at Kokolo Donburi, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience!
The food was amazing, with generous portions and mouthwatering flavors.
I particularly enjoyed the Oyakodon, it was the perfect comfort food and really hit the spot.
The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I decided to place an order online the next time, and I was not disappointed.
My Wagyu was tender, and the Udon had a great flavor to it.
I couldn't believe how quickly my food was prepared and ready for pick-up.
I even brought along a friend for a meal during an off-peak hour, and we practically had the place to ourselves.
Our food arrived in no time, and we were both impressed by the size of the dishes - definitely more than what we could comfortably eat in one sitting.
One of the best things about living in this neighborhood is being just a stone's throw away from Ofelia's Kitchen.
This cheery eatery has become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a delicious sandwich made with their amazing house-baked bread.
I love that they have a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options as well, making it a perfect place for everyone in my group of friends.
The ambiance at Ofelia's Kitchen is always so pleasant - whether I choose to sit indoors or enjoy the open outdoor seating area.
I appreciate that the food is not only tasty but always prepared fresh.
The homemade wheat bread is a must-try, and occasionally they offer specialty bread like focaccia that I just can't resist.
Another bonus is that the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get.
Whenever I'm in the mood for a quick and healthy meal, Ofelia's Kitchen never disappoints.
And on those hot summer days, I can't help but indulge in their frozen yogurt - it's the perfect treat to cool down while enjoying a meal outdoors.
Just the other day, I visited Yafa Hummus for a quick bite, and let me tell you, their food never disappoints!
I absolutely love their large portions and reasonable prices.
My usual order is the Back Home Style, which I highly recommend - the generous amounts of meat in their Gyro Wrap is perfect for satisfying my hunger.
I've also taken my daughter to Yafa Hummus a couple of times, and she loves it too!
We usually order the gyro, shawarma bowl, side of falafel, and some hummus to share.
The food is always fresh, tasty, and right on point.
I'm so glad that I can enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine right in my neighborhood.
If you get the chance, give Yafa Hummus a try - you won't be disappointed!
Roya Afghan Cuisine
I've always been a fan of Afghan food, so when I found out that Roya Afghan Cuisine was open on Christmas day eve, I was thrilled.
I decided to grab some dinner there and see how it compared to my usual Afghan go-to spot.
So, off I went to Roya Afghan Cuisine with high expectations.
I ordered the Aushak and chicken kabobs, which came with a green salad.
The Aushak itself was full of flavor, albeit with a bit too much sour cream for my taste.
I also received a type of brioche bread, which was delicious.
Petra Middle Eastern Cuisine
I have always been a fan of Middle Eastern food, and nothing satisfies my cravings more than visiting Petra Middle Eastern Cuisine in my hometown.
The moment you step into the restaurant, you are immediately captivated by the warm ambiance, complete with woven tapestries and traditional art adorning the walls.
On my latest visit, I decided to try the tabbouleh and chicken kebab.
The tabbouleh was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, while the chicken kebab was tender and juicy – it truly felt like eating a home-cooked meal.
Another highlight of Petra Middle Eastern Cuisine is their complimentary freshly baked pitas, served with olive oil, which perfectly complements their delicious falafel, baba ghanoush, and other starters.
Every dish I've tried here has been authentic and bursting with flavors that transport me to Jordan.
Locanda Wine Bar
One of my favorite spots to dine is Locanda Wine Bar, and recently, I took my family there to celebrate my parent's birthday.
The ambiance was perfect for our special occasion, and the service was impeccable.
We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including salmon, sea bass, and pasta with bolognese - all of which were divine.
The drinks were not only beautiful but also tasted amazing.
The outdoor seating wasn't our preference, but it seemed to be quite popular among other diners.
I've been to Locanda Wine Bar multiple times, and I've never been disappointed.
For example, I remember a fantastic Valentine's Day experience with a special menu and beautifully plated, delicious food.
I recently decided to treat my spouse for our wedding anniversary at Range Life, and I must say, I was impressed.
The rustic-chic ambiance, creative seasonal menu, and delicious craft cocktails made for a perfect evening together.
On arrival, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and personalized "Happy Anniversary" paper menus, which I thought was a wonderful touch.
As for the food, we were blown away by the bone-in pork chop, halibut, and especially the deep-fried cabbage and pepper appetizer served with a scrumptious homemade dipping sauce.
I've been visiting Ben's Burgers since I was five years old, and even now, at the age of 39, the place holds a special place in my heart.
For the past 34 years, I've been enjoying the same delicious burger and fries that I fell in love with as a child.
The classic Ben's Burger has remained consistent in its taste and quality, which is truly impressive.
I remember living just a couple of miles away from Ben's Burgers, and I would often walk there just to enjoy an ice cream treat when I reached my destination.
This little mom-and-pop shop has always been my go-to place for a simple, homely meal.
Their food reminds me of the kind of meals I'd make at home for my own family.
Nowadays, I like to take my two-year-old to Ben's Burgers for a quick bite and to share a milkshake.
It's a great way to pass on my love for this nostalgic spot to the next generation.
In fact, they make the best banana milkshakes I've ever had!
When it comes to satisfying my burger cravings, John's Char-Burger is my top choice.
The first time I dined there, I decided to try their 1/2 lbs.
burger, which comes with two juicy patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
It was absolutely mouthwatering and made me wonder why I hadn't discovered the place sooner.
What I love most about this joint is their quality and consistency.
Every time I visit, I know I'm in for a treat as the patties are always cooked to perfection, and the cheese is perfectly melted.
The produce they use is fresh, and the overall flavor of their burgers is just out of this world.
I have introduced my family and friends to John's Char-Burger, and they've all been equally impressed.
Not only are their burgers impressive, but their prices are unbeatable too.
My first burger there cost me just $8.75 - an absolute steal for such a delicious meal.
I recently had another meal there, and the price was still incredibly low at $7.80, including tax.
Aside from their burgers, John's Char-Burger offers other delicious options like a solid BLT and their not-so-commonly-found chocolate malts.
Their fries are also worth noting, as they're not overly salty like some other places.
As a food enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for unique and delicious restaurants in my area.
One of the places I've had the pleasure of dining at is Shwe Myanmar Burmese Cuisine.
This hidden gem offers an extensive menu with a wide range of options for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike.
The first thing that struck me about Shwe Myanmar was the generous vegan menu.
Four pages of delicious vegan food – it was like a dream come true!
I particularly enjoyed the tea leaf salad, which was a flavorful and refreshing start to my meal.
The use of tomatoes in the dishes added a unique twist, and the fresh vegetables used in the recipes were of high quality.
One of the standout dishes I had at Shwe Myanmar was the samosa and pakora with onion soup – a delightful combination of flavors and textures.
After enjoying my meal so much, I couldn't resist ordering more to take home with me.
The service at Shwe Myanmar was friendly and attentive, with decent prices and portion sizes.
The menu remains the same for lunch and dinner, making it a great option for any time of day.
My omnivore partner also thoroughly enjoyed his pork garlic noodles, making joyful food noises throughout the meal.
Posada Alta Cocina
I decided to celebrate my anniversary at Posada Alta Cocina, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary.
They seated us at a semi-private table in the wine cellar, which was a perfect setting for our celebration.
We followed her suggestions and were blown away by the flavors of each dish.
The cauliflower appetizer, guacamole with blackened shrimp, ribeye entree, and steak and lobster entree were all incredible.
And to top it off, we had the flan and churros for dessert, which were the perfect end to our meal.
The atmosphere of Posada Alta Cocina is inviting and offers a beautiful Southwestern decor.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating, which provided a lovely ambiance for our dinner.
The ingredients used in the dishes were fresh and flavorful, making for a truly delicious experience.
I must say, ever since I discovered Americano in Livermore, my love for sandwiches has reached new heights.
It started when a friend mentioned that we're lucky to live here because we can savor "the best sandwiches" at this lovely spot.
Intrigued, I decided to try their takeout sandwiches when some relatives were in town, and we all instantly fell in love with the delicious taste.
Since then, I've been a regular customer, picking up takeout twice and trying various sandwiches, like the Californian, Southern Belle, and Just Joshing.
Each of them is just as amazing as the last!
So far, I've enjoyed their food in the comfort of my home, but I look forward to experiencing their cute dining room and outdoor seating area soon.
Also, their American-Italian menu offers a great selection of classics, each one generously portioned and made with high-quality ingredients.
Nick The Greek
I've had my fair share of trying out different eateries in town.
One place that has recently caught my attention is Nick The Greek.
My partner and I were looking for a new place to eat, and we decided to give this Greek restaurant a shot.
Right from the entrance, the place is well-presented with a nice covered, off-road, outside eating area and a spacious, clean, modern inside eating area with comfortable seating.
We both ordered Gyros, and I must say, they were some of the best we've had in California.
I got the Beef/Lamb Gyro with Nick's Fries, and my partner tried the Chicken Gyro with a side of falafel.
The portions were generously meaty, and the Gyros were well put together with a bit of salad and no sign of the pita being soaked through with too much runny sauce.
The fries were real potatoes, well seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
It wasn't just the Gyros that impressed us, though.
The green salad that came with our meals was well dressed in olive oil, salt, and pepper - simple but so tasty when you actually want to taste the lettuce.
To top off our meal, we decided to share a small dessert of beignets, which were freshly fried, light, and the perfect sweet treat to end our dining experience.
Hanabishi Japanese Cuisine
As someone who lives in the area, I have visited Hanabishi Japanese Cuisine a few times, and I must admit, it's a great spot for a quick sushi fix.
The service is always friendly and efficient, and the menu offers a wide variety of dishes at affordable prices.
One thing that stands out for me is their green salad, which is by far one of the best I've had in a Japanese restaurant.
I also love their spicy tuna, it's a must-try!
For a better option, you can try their tskimino, which is good to add to it.
For takeout, I once ordered a chirashi and California rolls, and they were ready within 15 minutes.
They were also accommodating enough to substitute tuna for the tamago in the chirashi, which I appreciated.
El Chaparrito Taqueria
I had the pleasure of visiting El Chaparrito Taqueria recently to try their super burrito.
I went with the el Pastor and shared it with my partner on my birthday.
The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful landscaping outside.
They brought in some stunning cactus plants, and you can tell the love and effort they put into the presentation - which definitely translates to their food.
The El Pastor super burrito was delicious, and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu items.
The cleanliness of the place is also worth noting; it was spotless, and I even saw them sweeping the floor while I was there.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tommy Katsu, and I must say, it has quickly become my go-to sushi spot in town.
As soon as I walked in, I was impressed by the simple yet cozy ambiance of the restaurant, featuring comfortable seating and unique beer bottle decorations lining the walls.
I decided to try the shrimp tempura roll topped with sauced imi crab, and it was such a pleasant surprise!
The generous portions of fish and minimal rice in each piece really highlighted the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
The multi-colored roe-topped sushi, adorned with a tiny flower, was not only visually appealing but tasted amazing as well.
During my visit, I also enjoyed their delicious garlic edamame and a bowl of incredibly savory miso soup.
I have been a regular at Manpuku whenever I crave sushi and ramen.
The place may not boast the best sushi and ramen I've ever had, but what I truly appreciate about it is the friendly service and the affordable pricing for the amount of food they serve.
I usually visit Manpuku for lunch, and the food comes out really quickly.
I never seem to have trouble finding a seat since it doesn't get too packed.
One time, I was extremely hungry and ended up ordering twice my usual amount, and it still only cost me around $20 – which I think is pretty good.
Plus, the food consistently satisfies my Japanese food cravings.
Louise's Fish & Chips
There's nothing quite like indulging in some good ol' comfort food after a long day, and Louise's Fish & Chips is my go-to spot for that in the area.
I absolutely love their delicious, deep-fried fish and chips!
They don't just stop at fish, though - they have a fantastic fry on shrimp, oysters, calamari, mushrooms, and more.
It reminds me of the classic H. Salt Fish & Chips I used to enjoy.
Their pricing is pretty competitive, too - I can easily feed my family of four with their combo pack for just $40, which includes six pieces of fish, 16 shrimp, and fries.
Whenever I crave some fried goodness, I usually just place an order over the phone for in-store pickup at their location.
I'm always impressed with their quick turnaround time - most of my orders are ready within 15 minutes of placing them.
As someone who lives in the area, I've been fortunate enough to enjoy the delicious dishes from China Garden Restaurant on numerous occasions.
If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend checking out their website.
This longtime Chinese eatery offers generous plates of classic fare in a simple space with subtle decor.
My personal favorite at China Garden is the Mongolian Beef plate - the meat is always tender and full of flavor.
My family members also love dishes like sweet and sour pork and beef broccoli.
Some of my new favorites include Spicy Crispy Tofu, Mapo Tofu, Chicken and Corn soup, and the Combination Chow Mein.
Their Mapo Tofu, in particular, reminds me of my mom's cooking and hits just the right spice levels.
One of my favorite spots to grab sushi in town is Wasabi Bistro.
I've been going there for years, and I can vouch for the freshness and quality of their sashimi.
My personal favorite is the sake sashimi donburi which never disappoints.
Their tofu appetizer is also a must-try with its soft center and crispy exterior.
I usually opt for take-out since the waiting time for pickups can be a bit longer than in some other places, but I know it's because they prepare everything fresh.
Some of my go-to rolls include the Dancing Shrimp, Caterpillar, Dragon, and Spicy Tuna.
Recently, I also tried their Hot Mama and Kiss of Fire rolls, which were both fantastic.
Tin Thai Kitchen
One of my favorite spots in town is definitely Tin Thai Kitchen.
As someone who loves flavorful and authentic Thai cuisine, this place never disappoints.
I've been to this cheery restaurant quite a few times, and it's always been a treat.
The small plates they serve here are inspired by the street vendors of Thailand, which adds a unique and exciting touch to the dining experience.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is always top-notch.
The curry puffs are a must-try – they're the perfect blend of Thai and Indian flavors.
I also highly recommend the chicken drunken noodles; they're always cooked to perfection, and the chicken is never stringy or tough.
For those who enjoy a bit of spice, the green papaya salad is a refreshing and delicious option.
One other thing that I love about Tin Thai Kitchen is that they are dog-friendly, which makes it an even more enjoyable experience for me as a dog owner.
Livermore truly has an impressive array of dining options that have become an essential part of my life in this charming city.
The wide variety of cuisines available has allowed me to explore different flavors and cultures without having to travel far.
I've had the privilege of savoring mouth-watering Thai dishes at Rosniyom Thai Street Food, indulging in the warmth of a bowl of Kokolo Donburi, and enjoying a delightful evening out with friends at Locanda Wine Bar.
