And boy, did they deliver!
The service was impeccable, and my guests couldn't stop raving about the food.
I don’t usually dish out recommendations, but for Maya Catering, I’ll happily make an exception.
Their exquisite culinary skills, paired with their top-notch service, make for a dining experience that's not to be missed.
Turnpike Bagels Deli & Bakery
There's just something about the aroma of fresh bagels wafting through the air on a crisp Long Island morning that makes me feel right at home.
Turnpike Bagels Deli & Bakery is my go-to spot whenever I want to start my day off right.

Trust me when I say Vincenzo's Pizzeria of Levittown truly checks all the boxes.
Now, calling a pizza place 'the best' can be subjective, but the taste of their regular pizza is spot on.
It's a go-to order for me each time I visit.
But let me tell you, the garlic knots, oh my!
They are the best around here, with pieces of real garlic in them.
I love some daily pizza specials, and Vincenzo's offers just that.
You would be amazed by how much you can save.
They started offering Sicilian pizza, and my family and I have been hooked.
It's heavy, just the way we like.
And those knots?
Still amazing.
One thing that draws me back to this place, aside from the delicious food, is their rolls.
They are so good that words simply can't do them justice.
I've been known to dine here two, sometimes three times a week, and Vincenzo's has never disappointed.
Their food is not only tasty but also reasonably priced, which is a big win in my book.
As if the amazing pizza and rolls weren't enough, Vincenzo's has some of the best wings you'll ever try.
And don't even get me started on their margarita pizza with vodka sauce; it's simply outstanding.

It's a Friday night in Levittown, and I'm looking for a place to enjoy some good seafood.
A friend suggests the Sexy Crab, and, intrigued by the name alone, off we go.
Upon stepping in, I'm greeted by the energetic ambiance that’s reminiscent of the previous wing joint that used to occupy the space but with a definitive maritime twist.
The lights are dim, casting a warm glow over the tables where patrons are feasting on all kinds of sea creatures while the music sets a lively mood.
Once seated, we decide to take advantage of their all-you-can-eat offer.
At $50 per person, it's an opportunity to sample a wide variety of seafood dishes.
Perhaps not as budget-friendly as others, but the promise of unlimited seafood is too tempting to resist.
The menu at Sexy Crab is quite extensive and definitely seafood-oriented.
They have everything from lobsters to different types of crabs such as King, Dungeness, and Alaskan; all served with their special garlic and butter sauce.
I'm particularly fond of the Lobster Bisque Soup; it's as close to fresh off the boat as you can get without actually going fishing yourself.
In between the feasting, I couldn't help but notice the service.
But what truly sets Sexy Crab apart is their special touch for celebrations.
On a friend's birthday, they served a complimentary chocolate Soufflé with a liquid chocolate center, topped off with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
It was divine, to say the least.
For those who aren't seafood enthusiasts, the options might be a bit underwhelming.
A friend who tagged along found the mozzarella sticks and chicken wings rather mediocre.
But then again, Sexy Crab is all about the seafood.
It’s a place where seafood lovers would feel like they've hit the jackpot, while others might find it a bit, well, fishy.
Sometimes it's those unexpected gems, like Sexy Crab, that make dining here exciting.
Green Street Eatery
Let me tell you about my new favorite spot in the area, the Green Street Eatery.
Stepping in, you can't help but be charmed by the open, bright atmosphere that instantly uplifts your mood, regardless of the weather outside.
It's a haven for those like me, who've embraced a vegan lifestyle, but also for those just venturing into this world of plant-based deliciousness.
This petite cozy nook, diligently designed, is a perfect blend of a café and coffee house.
And the food?
Oh, it's a visual treat and a delight for the palate.
The range of scrumptious offerings here is so amazing that you unwittingly forget that you're on a healthy eating spree.
I can't wait for the warmer months when the outdoor area opens up.
It's going to be an idyllic spot to enjoy my Sunday brunch.
Yes, they do a special brunch every Sunday.
And let me tell you; it's something you don't want to miss.
I've tried various dishes, but their SouthWest Half-sized bowl and Vietnamese Taco are the showstoppers.

After a pleasant phone call with a charming lady from the restaurant, I decided to give it a go.
The curry goat I tried was simply divine!
The veggies were fresh, and the rice n peas were cooked to perfection.
Not to forget the star of the show - the plantains.
It was a delightful meal and for a very reasonable price too.
On my other visit, I tried the oxtail and jerk chicken dish.
The portions were generous, and the taste was so authentic that it transported me back to my vacation in Jamaica.
One thing I absolutely love about the place is its ambiance.
The hand-painted murals on the walls are a testament to the love and devotion that has gone into setting up this restaurant.
Teng's Restaurant
Trust me, Teng's Restaurant is truly the crown jewel of our neighborhood.

The food?
Simply out of this world.

I frequent Teng's often, sometimes with friends, other times with family.
Each visit is marked by a delightful dish that becomes an instant favorite.
Hakka chili chicken, crispy beef, Beisel chicken and beef, and their chef's special fried rice - I've tried them all, and I can vouch for their deliciousness.
The freshness and the authentic flavors make every meal at Teng's a memorable one.
I must admit, the place isn't the largest.
It's a cozy little spot, and everything is served in to-go containers.
But the quirkiness is part of its charm.
The self-service concept makes it feel homely and laid-back.
You get your own plates and utensils, and when you're done, you pack up your leftovers.
It's simple, convenient, and it makes the dining experience uniquely engaging.
Riella's Homestyle
You know those evenings when you're just too tired to cook and you crave something hearty and comforting?
That's when I head over to Riella's Homestyle.
This cozy little gem in the neighborhood strip mall has quickly become my favorite Italian place around.
The food was mouth-watering, true Italian classics, served piping hot and flavorful.
Their pasta is a must-try – each bite tastes like it's been kissed by an Italian grandma!
And let's not even start on their pizza, thin crust, just the right amount of crunch, and oh-so-cheesy!
But on top of all the delicious food, there's my personal favorite – their arancini.
I swear, these little rice balls are nothing short of magic.
I've had them for takeout once, and I've thought about them almost every day since.
They have this unique, addictive flavor that's just out-of-this-world delicious.
Riko's
There's something about a pizza night that brings out the kid in me.
And when that pizza night is at Riko's Pizza, you're in for a real treat.
Their pizza is a slice of heaven, always delicious and never disappointing.
The gluten-free crust is a standout, so good, in fact, that I often find myself preferring it over the regular dough.
The menu is something else; the Fresh Mozzarella Salad Pizza with grilled chicken is a must-try, as is their Hot Oil Pizza.
However, from time to time, there can be a bit of a wait.
I recall one evening when I had ordered for pick-up and arrived 10 minutes past the given time, only to find my order was not ready.
Ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes, which was a bit of an inconvenience.
But they were apologetic about the delay, which was a nice touch.
Riko's is not just about pizza, though; they have a fair selection of other treats.
Once, I decided to switch it up and ordered their Margherita pizza and wings.
The wings were okay, not too special, but the pizza, even though it was thin crust, was quite enjoyable.
A perfect fit for those who enjoy "bar food."
The place also has a pub-like atmosphere, complete with a bar and huge TVs.
It's a cute spot to hang out and enjoy a beer, giving it a unique charm.
But the real stars here are the pizzas.
The bar pies are unlike anything I've had elsewhere.
The Margherita, Meatball, and Clam Pies come highly recommended.
Plus their wings with house sauce, while not out-of-this-world, are still pretty good.
Definitely, the best pizza place in the area.

Who knew that you could find a little piece of Japan right in the heart of Levittown?
I'm talking about Ginza, my go-to Japanese restaurant around here.
You can tell the freshness of their fish with just one bite, a testament to the chef's skill and dedication.
And don't get me started on the cutting skills.
Every slice of sashimi, every piece of sushi, is a testament to the chef's mastery.
You can feel the precision and care in every bite as if each morsel was specially crafted just for you.

Calda Pizzeria & Restaurant has become my go-to place for a heavenly pizza experience.
Their BBQ chicken pizza has left an unforgettable impression on my taste buds.
Picture this: a pizza generously loaded with an exquisite variety of toppings, almost making you forget about the crust beneath!
Their side of garlic knots complimented the pizza perfectly, adding that extra hint of flavor that made the meal even more delightful.

I assure you, the way they make their drinks here will leave you wanting more.
I would particularly recommend the orange and cream margarita, which was a hit with my family.

Cachapass is a delightful Venezuelan/Latin restaurant nestled in the heart of Long Island.
It's not every day you stumble upon a place that serves authentic arepas, burgers, wraps, empanadas, cachapas, tequeños, and so much more.
When you step into Cachapas Long Island, you're immediately welcomed by the aroma of sizzling food and the friendly service.
When I first tried the Cachapa Cubana, it was a revelation.
The freshness of the ingredients, the richness of the flavors, it was a party in my mouth.
My partner devoured the Patacón with 3 meats.
And don't even get me started on their homemade hot sauce.
It's fiery, tangy, and just the right amount of heat you need to spice up your meal.
The “Maracucha” Burger is another must-try.
It's a hearty delight that leaves you sated and craving for more.
What's more, servings are generous enough to share.
Pietro's of East Meadow (East Meadow)
Last night, my partner and I decided to have a spontaneous and early Valentine’s Day dinner at Pietro's of East Meadow.
It was our very first time trying this place, and wow, it didn't disappoint!
Walking through the doors was like stepping into an old-school Italian trattoria.
The recent renovations have given the place a facelift without compromising its rustic charm.
Their outdoor dining area was just as inviting and added an amazing touch.
We decided to share a sesame crust pizza, and let me tell you; it was cooked to absolute perfection.
The crust was just the right amount of crispy, and the flavors were spot-on.
I opted for their drunken eggplant Parmesan, a unique twist on a classic, and it was beyond yummy.
While my other half ventured for the drunken lasagna.
Both dishes were mouthwateringly good and leave us yearning for more.
Of course, no Italian meal would be complete without dessert, and Pietro's certainly didn't disappoint there.
We shared a slice of their pistachio ricotta cake and tartufo, and it was the perfect ending to our dinner.
The cake was light, not too sweet, and simply divine.
The entire place had a buzz, with people coming in and out, all looking satisfied with their meals.
Brixx Bar and Grill (East Meadow)
There's something about walking into Brixx Bar and Grill after a long day.
Even though the decorations might be a bit sparse, it doesn't take away from the warm and friendly atmosphere this place has to offer.
The crowd is fantastic.
It's always nice to see familiar faces and meet new people.
The Karaoke nights are a blast here, adding a fun twist to the usual bar experience.
When it comes to food, the Reuben Sandwich is my go-to choice.
An absolute delight, full of flavor, and reasonably priced.
The bar also prides itself on its cleanliness.
I've rarely seen a spotless restroom in a Bar and Grill kind of place.
You can always count on ordering something delicious from the menu.
