Welcome to Lakewood, Washington!

I must say, living here has been an absolute delight for my taste buds.

Our city is brimming with culinary discoveries that cater to a wide variety of preferences and cravings.

I am excited to share with you some of the best restaurants in Lakewood, Washington, that have truly made an impression on my palate and made my life in the city even more enjoyable.

So, let's embark on this gastronomic journey together, and trust me, you're in for a treat!

Erawan Sports Bar & Grill Thai Cuisine

I had the pleasure of experiencing the amazing Thai food at Erawan Sports Bar & Grill Thai Cuisine last week.

They were so accommodating, setting up a table for our group and even making some special changes to the menu upon request.

The open kitchen allowed me to see the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken in preparing each dish.

I ordered the Drunken Fried Rice and Tom Kha soup, and the flavors were phenomenal!

My friends tried the Yellow and Red Curry dishes, and although both were delicious, we agreed that the Yellow Curry was the standout winner.

Despite the unassuming appearance of the place, Erawan has quickly become my new favorite Thai spot in town.

The atmosphere is so inviting, and it's the perfect place to watch football games on their four screens or enjoy a game of pool.

Sushi Niwa

When it comes to sushi, Sushi Niwa has always been my go-to place.

It's tucked away inside the World Market, which makes it a convenient spot for me to grab a quick lunch or dinner.

You can find their location here.

I particularly love their fire engine roll, which comes with a small salad and miso soup for just $10.99 – such a great deal!

And although it's American-style sushi, I still prefer Sushi Niwa over other sushi places in town.

Sugar Bones Tacos

Just the other day, I had the pleasure of visiting Sugar Bones Tacos, and I must say, it was a delightful experience.

The tacos and chicken quesadilla I ordered were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and freshness.

I decided to try their horchata, and it was a great decision - it was perfectly made and complemented my meal.

I also enjoyed their green sauce, which was well-crafted with just the right amount of spice.

My partner, who is originally from Southern California, was thrilled to find a California-style burrito that matched the flavors they grew up with.

As for me, I found the chicken quesadilla to be a satisfying meal, and we both loved the salsa that came with our dishes.

One more thing worth mentioning is that Sugar Bones Tacos offers a military discount with ID, which I think is fantastic and shows their support for our service members.

K & C Burkie

Discovering K & C Burkie has been a game-changer for me.

The first time I visited this cozy little spot, I was blown away by the delicious food and the unique combinations of flavors they offered.

The spicy pork bulgogi quickly became my favorite, and I make it a point to stop by whenever I get the chance.

The burgers here are hands-down the best in town, with a Korean twist that makes them stand out from the rest.

I've tried their bulgogi rolls, chicken teriyaki, and of course, the double cheeseburger - which I can't help but drool over every time I think about it.

The prices at K & C Burkie are quite reasonable, making it a great place to grab a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Check out their location on Google Maps to find your way to this delightful gem.

House of Mandoo

I absolutely love going to House of Mandoo for a delicious meal!

Located within the Pal Do World Market, it's a straightforward eatery that serves a variety of mouthwatering Korean steamed dumplings.

The best part is that they are made fresh daily, and the size of their mandoo is really generous.

For just $10, I get four huge dumplings that are not only filling but also have an amazing flavor.

My first visit to House of Mandoo was a pleasant surprise, and I've been a regular ever since.

The service has always been friendly and welcoming, making every dining experience enjoyable.

When I want a mini version of the dumplings, I order six pieces, but trust me, it's really hard to eat just one!

Mi Casa Mexican Food

I have to say, I absolutely love Mi Casa Mexican Food.

I have always been on the lookout for an authentic Mexican restaurant, and Mi Casa definitely fits the bill.

My friends and I have dined here multiple times, and each visit has been nothing short of amazing.

The food is always cooked with love and pride, and it genuinely tastes like it's straight from Mexico City.

My partner and I have tried a variety of menu items, and we have never been disappointed.

The al pastor and asada tacos are a must-try, and I personally highly recommend the tacos sudados with chicken – just ask for some sour cream, and it will hit the spot!

My partner is quite picky but even loved the huarache de asada.

It's a cozy little place where you can enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices.

Our entire meal, including drinks, usually comes to around $40 for the two of us, which I believe is quite fair for the quality and portions you receive.

I absolutely love going to La Casa de Sharon whenever I'm in the mood for some delicious Mexican antojitos.

This charming little place offers a variety of Mexican delights, ice cream, and candies that always hit the spot.

The Chicken Spinach Wrap, in particular, is a favorite of mine - it comes packed with loads of chicken, leafy greens, and avocado, with the dressing served on the side.

There are so many other menu items to try that I can't wait to go back for more!

La Casa de Sharon's friendly and fast service never disappoints, and the welcoming environment makes every visit a pleasant experience.

Los Cuervos

Oh man, let me tell you about this amazing Mexican restaurant I discovered in Lakewood.

It's called Los Cuervos, and it has some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted.

One of the best things about Los Cuervos is their authentic Mexican flavors.

I thought I knew Mexican food, but this place took it to a whole new level.

I usually order a couple of fully loaded tacos and a burrito, and the combination of meats and seasonings always leaves me craving more.

The last time I was there, I tried a white-looking tea that tasted like pure heaven.

And don't even get me started on the service.

There's this one young lady who works there who is always so patient, even when the place is packed.

She had some nachos and salsa appetizers ready for me in under three minutes the last time I was there, and it only took about 12 minutes to receive my main meal.

I also love the family-friendly environment at Los Cuervos.

The Adriatic at Oakbrook

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Adriatic at Oakbrook, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience.

From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted like family, and the fantastic service started right away.

The menu boasted a variety of delicious options, and I had a hard time choosing just one.

Ultimately, I settled on their signature mushroom soup, which truly was the best I've ever had.

The focaccia bread that accompanied the soup was also a standout, moist, and flavorful.

As for the main course, I opted for the Chicken Parm and Rigatoni Bolognese, and it was as delicious as I had hoped.

The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, while the pasta was well-seasoned and satisfying.

But the meal didn't end there; I couldn't resist indulging in dessert.

I tried the spumoni ice cream and the Cheesecake Alla Adriatic, a light ricotta, and lemon cheesecake with a raspberry sauce and fresh raspberries.

It was like tasting heaven on a plate!

Not only is The Adriatic at Oakbrook a great place for a meal, but it's also located in the beautiful Oakbrook Golf Club, making it the perfect spot to discuss business, play golf, or simply relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

OSJ International Restaurant

I recently visited OSJ International Restaurant after a friend recommended it to me, and it did not disappoint!

If you're planning to go, I'd suggest calling ahead to save some time.

The food was absolutely delicious.

I ordered the bistec encebollado for $14.95 and the Argentine Churrasco for $22.1.

Everything tasted amazing, and I especially loved the sauces that came with the churrasco, particularly the chimichurri one.

The ropa Vieja was super tender and flavorful, and the arroz con gandules was fantastic as well.

But the tostones rellenos with chicken blew me away - the chicken had great flavor, and the plantain was crispy and hearty.

The prices were well worth it, as the portions are generous.

Bruno's European Restaurant

One of my favorite places to dine in the area is Bruno's European Restaurant.

I've been going there for years now, and I can confidently say that the quality of the food and service has remained consistently top-notch.

The dishes they offer, such as goulash, schnitzel, and stuffed cabbage, remind me of the hearty meals that my grandparents used to prepare.

The menu is quite expansive, offering both traditional and creative options for anyone looking for a taste of European cuisine.

What I really love about Bruno's is the cozy atmosphere that makes every dining experience feel intimate and comfortable.

My personal favorite is the spicy schnitzel, which is packed with flavor and never fails to impress.

Another aspect of Bruno's that keeps me coming back is their selection of European beers and wines.

They have German beers on tap and a variety of bottled options that can be purchased to enjoy with your meal.

It's always a treat to discover new beverages that complement the dishes perfectly.

Paraiso Filipino Native Foods

I've tried many Filipino restaurants, but Paraiso Filipino Native Foods never disappoints.

It's a hidden gem that brings back memories of my childhood, growing up with Filipino neighbors.

Not only do they serve authentic and delicious Filipino dishes, but they also have a grocery section with items you won't find in regular stores.

Here's the location on Google Maps if you're interested in trying it out.

My personal favorites are the beef and chicken lumpia, which I usually get every time I visit.

Other popular dishes, like chicken adobo and beef kare-kare, are also fantastic.

I've even brought my partner here, who is now hooked on their pork barbecue and crispy pata.

The restaurant is often busy, especially around lunchtime when military personnel come in for a meal.

But don't worry, even if there are no tables available when you walk in, one will likely open up by the time you're done ordering.

Taqueria El Sabroso

I've been to Taqueria El Sabroso a few times now, and I must say it's a convenient spot to grab some Mexican street eats.

The place is modest, with a take-out window and a small dining room, but I found it quite charming.

I've tried their chicken, which was good.

The rice and beans, on the other hand, were delightful – the rice had a nice sticky texture, and the beans were well-seasoned.

You might feel the prices are a bit high, but honestly, the generous portions make up for it.

I remember ordering the chicken mole with extra guacamole, and it was delicious with abundant serving size.

The restaurant also offers indoor seating at the back, and its location next to a Mexican market is quite convenient.

I can't help but rave about my recent visit to Hot Fish House.

The atmosphere was incredible, and the soul food on the menu was simply amazing.

I decided to go for the shrimp n grits and wasn't disappointed at all.

My partner opted for the catfish with collard greens and couldn't stop talking about it.

The portions were generous, making sure we had more than enough to eat.

I'm already planning my next visit to try the shrimp po'boy.

The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a great vibe.

The music in the background was just right, not too loud, and added to the overall experience.

I loved the fact that Hot Fish House offers a range of dishes to choose from, and I'm looking forward to trying out more items from their menu.

Happy Teriyaki Bridgeport Way

One of my favorite places to grab some delicious Japanese food in our area is Happy Teriyaki Bridgeport Way.

This no-nonsense restaurant offers flavorful stir-fries, teriyakis, and other typical Japanese dishes that never disappoint.

They make you feel right at home, and their infectious happiness creates a pleasant atmosphere.

Even when the place gets busy, their attention to detail and kindness never waver.

A personal favorite dish of mine is the chicken teriyaki, which never fails to hit the spot.

I once visited with a group of friends, and we ordered a Teriyaki Combination for three people.

We were blown away by the smoky flavor of the short ribs and the generous portion sizes.

Their boba drinks are also a must-try.

With an array of unique flavors like taro and honeydew melon, these delightful beverages are well worth the price.

And speaking of prices, I have to mention the great value at Happy Teriyaki.

Quality food, friendly service, and affordable prices make this place a top choice for locals like myself.

There's no place like Ho Soon Yi Restaurant whenever I'm craving authentic and delicious Korean food.

It's my favorite spot to grab a hearty meal, and I can't seem to get enough of their tofu soup, stews, and Korean pancakes.

The pancakes are crispy, crunchy, and bursting with flavor – just the way they should be!

The soft tofu soup is so good that it melts in your mouth, and the rest of the menu never disappoints.

Each dish seems to be made with genuine love and care.

One of my favorite things about this place is the purple rice and barley tea they offer.

It adds an extra layer of comfort and warmth, especially during Washington's rainy weather.

I Pho

Just the other day, I decided to have lunch at I Pho, a spot I've been frequenting for quite some time now.

My usual order consists of their egg rolls, beef and brisket pho, and beef eggplant.

Their food never disappoints, and this time was no exception.

Upon receiving my order, I noticed the hot and fresh pho, just the way I like it.

Their Thai tea also gave off an authentic taste, which only added to the satisfying meal.

I usually share the regular pho with extra noodles with my kiddo, but next time, I'll remember to opt for a small one since it's a lot of food.

What truly stood out to me was their veggie pho, loaded with an impressive amount of vegetables and a delicious broth.

It was the best I've had in years.

I've always been on the hunt for a good meatball place, and when I heard about Manic Meatballs from my friends, I knew I had to try it.

One day, after running errands, my partner and I decided to give Manic Meatballs a shot.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with friendly hellos and offers to explain their menu.

We both ordered manic meals, with my partner going for traditional manic meatballs, and I opted for a mix of manic meatballs and bacon-wrapped ones.

We also chose a variety of sides, like mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, coleslaw, and fries.

While driving home, we couldn't resist snacking on their well-seasoned fries, which were surprisingly thin and delicious.

My family and I have been ordering from this place for quite some time, and we just can't get enough of their crispy crusts and delicious toppings.

Their menu offers a variety of options, including subs, pasta, and wings, but we always seem to gravitate toward their classic pizza.

Just the other night, we ordered a three-topping pizza, breadsticks, meat pizza rolls, and spaghetti with meatballs.

Despite having a bit of a wait, we knew that what we'd receive would be hot, fresh, and of excellent quality.

When our food arrived, it was clear that we wouldn't be needing to cook any Sunday dinner that night!

The casual atmosphere was welcoming, and I appreciated the convenience of ordering at the register before finding a seat.

Their plate dishes were quite large, and the food came out quickly.

I enjoyed the taste of their dishes, and the salsa was just right.

However, the outdoor patio area was a nice touch and a great place to relax.

One thing that really stood out to me was their Questaco.

La Chele Salvadorean Restaurant Pupuseria

Let me tell you about my favorite spot for Hispanic food, La Chele Salvadorean Restaurant Pupuseria!

I've been a regular patron for years now, and I've never been disappointed with their service or food quality.

One of the reasons I keep coming back is their extremely generous portions - especially the amount of meat they put in their burritos.

Trust me, it's hard to find a place that does that around here.

And don't even get me started on their refried black beans - simply the best I've ever had.

Now, if you haven't tried a papusa, you're definitely missing out.

La Chele serves some of the best papusas I've ever tasted in the PNW.

I usually go for the pork, beans, & cheese, as well as the 'loroco', which is a flower mixed in with the cheese.

The ingredients are always high quality and, when combined with the pickled slaw and delicious salsas, create a truly memorable meal.

On top of that, the hibiscus drink and the side of homemade beans and rice are much better than what you'd normally expect.

La Chele's online ordering makes it easy to indulge in their authentic flavors from the comfort of my home.

The service is always family-friendly, and the ambiance, though humble, is quite inviting.
