One of my absolute favorite spots to grab a quick and delicious meal is Press Break.
I can't even count how many times I've stopped by this unique food joint.
basketball-themed menu always makes me smile, and the food never disappoints!
The first time I tried their GPBJOAT sandwich, I couldn't believe how amazing it was.
Seriously, it might just be the best PB&J I've ever had.
The bread is perfectly cooked, and the apple butter adds an incredible twist.
But it's not just the sandwiches that keep me coming back for more.
I've tried a variety of their other menu items, like the Chicago double dog and the pizza puff.
The tasty fries are also a must-have.
Break's food is always top-notch, and the friendly service is the cherry on top.
Apart from the delicious food and amazing service, I love how Press Break has a drive-up, food truck vibe to it.
It's so easy to grab a meal to go and then head up to Granddaddy's Bluff to enjoy it with a fantastic view.
Soula's Cuisina
I can't say enough good things about my recent visit to Soula's Cuisina!
The entire team was incredibly friendly, and it really set the tone for a fun, enjoyable dinner.
The food was nothing short of amazing.
I appreciated how he took the time to walk around and check on all the guests.
My friends and I shared several dishes, including the 3 meats platter and the Greek salad.
Everything was authentic and absolutely delicious.
The prices were very reasonable, with our entire meal (including drinks and appetizers) coming in at around $25 per person.
Le Chateau
Last weekend, my friends from out of town came to visit, which was the perfect excuse for me to revisit one of my favorite spots in town - Le Chateau.
The moment you step inside, you're transported to another time with its elegant, historical house setting.
The warm, upscale dining rooms are perfect for a classy night out.
We had already made a reservation, which I highly recommend if you plan to visit.
Before we even started with our main course, we decided to head down to the Cave for some pre-dinner drinks.
The Cinderella cocktail was absolutely delightful, and we couldn't help but try their crafted smoked Old Fashioned as well.
As for the food, it was nothing short of incredible.
I had the Elk while my friend savored the Ribeye - both were cooked to absolute perfection.
The desserts were the cherry on top of a fantastic dining experience.
Each one of us tried a different dessert, and we all agreed that they were divine.
Lovechild
One of the best dining experiences I've had in LaCrosse has to be at Lovechild.
I remember going there with a group of friends on a busy weekend last summer.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was electric, and although we didn't have a reservation, we managed to get seats at the bar.
We ended up eating our entire meal there, and I must say, it was unforgettable.
Everything that came out of the kitchen looked beautiful and tasted delicious.
The drinks were fun and entertaining as well, perfectly complementing the scrumptious food.
I've also been there on a romantic date on a weeknight, and the ambiance was simply perfect.
We sat on the dining couches, which made the experience even more special.
Their trout dish was incredible, so much so that even after four months, we still talk about it.

Let me tell you about this amazing restaurant I recently discovered - Black Forest Bistro.

Everything was so fresh and tasty, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food.

South Lanes Pizza & Wings
One evening, I found myself craving some delicious pizza and decided to head over to South Lanes Pizza.
I had always remembered the bowling alley from my childhood, and I was excited to see that they had started a separate business just for their amazing pizza.
Let me tell you, it was the best decision I've made in a long time!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The aroma of fresh pizza filled the air, and I knew I was in for a treat.
The menu was filled with a variety of pizza options, and I couldn't help but order their famous super cheesy pizza.
And to my surprise, they even had "The Pearl" ice cream, which was the perfect dessert for my pizza night.
South Lanes Pizza truly lives up to its reputation as the best pizza in the Coulee Region.
In fact, they even hosted a basketball team's season-end party, and everyone had a fantastic time.
Rosie's Cafe
I love starting my day with a comforting breakfast at Rosie's Cafe.
This quaint little diner has such a warm, homelike atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to enjoy American breakfast and lunch classics.
The menu offers a great variety of dishes, from gigantic biscuits and gravy to perfectly cooked eggs and bacon.
You can tell that everything is made from scratch, and their fresh coffee is simply amazing.
I also appreciate that they serve Pepsi products, as I'm quite fond of them.
The U-shaped counter with stools, along with the eclectic collection of antiques, adds to the old-fashioned charm of the place.
Fathead Steve's
Oh, I just love grabbing a bite at Fathead Steve's!
The food options are always flavorful and unique, like their Vietnamese pork sandwich or a salad topped with duck.
Not only is the food delicious, but the service is impeccable.
The employees, like John, go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcomed and attended to.
They even have a food truck that occasionally pops up around town if you can't make it to their brick-and-mortar location.
Pogreba Restaurant
One of my go-to spots for a special evening out has to be Pogreba Restaurant.
This contemporary American restaurant offers a delightful experience, from their charcoal-grilled steaks and seafood to their range of craft beers and cocktails.
The last time I visited, I was particularly impressed by the service.
But what surprised me the most that evening was the orange zest & mint butter served with the bread - a delightful touch!
As for the ambiance of Pogreba, it's a relaxed atmosphere and boasts a unique setting.
The building, I believe, was once a church, which explains the stunning stained glass windows that you can't miss.
In terms of their drinks, I tried the raspberry lemon drop during my last visit, and it was absolutely delicious.
It was pretty strong for someone like me who doesn't drink a lot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Burritos House
I recently paid a visit to Burritos House in my neighborhood, and I must say, it was a delightful experience.
I was new to the establishment, so I had a lot of questions about portions and recommendations.

Restore Public House
I recently had the opportunity to visit Restore Public House for a date night, and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience.
The food was simply divine - easily one of the best dinners I've ever had in a while.
We started our culinary adventure with the masala potato dish, which was incredibly flavorful.
For the main course, I chose sirloin, which was cooked to perfection, while my partner opted for spaghetti, which was out of this world.
The cocktails we ordered were delicious too!
The service and ambiance at Restore Public House also deserve a special mention.
They even offered some suggestions for post-dinner activities.
One of the highlights of our meal was the Shaved Brussels appetizer, which was so good that even my partner, who usually isn't a fan of Brussels sprouts, couldn't get enough.
The presentation of our main courses - Seared Scallops and Alaskan Halibut - was stunning, and the flavors did not disappoint.
To top it all off, we indulged in a heavenly s'mores cheesecake for dessert.
Yummi's Cuisine
I stumbled upon this gem called Yummi's Cuisine.
It's a small, cozy Chinese place that seemed to be family-run.

It took about 20 minutes for my food to arrive, but it was evident that everything was made to order and definitely worth the wait.
To my surprise, the food was not only delicious but also quite plentiful.

Another highlight was their bubble tea, which I found to be very refreshing and well-made.
Hungry Peddler
I can honestly say that Hungry Peddler is hands down my favorite breakfast spot.
Just this past Sunday morning, I decided to take my daughter and her college roommate out for breakfast, and even though the place was packed, we decided to wait - and trust me, it was worth it!

Plus, the quaint 1911 storefront adds charm to the whole place, making it a must-visit spot for anyone in town.
Señor Villa
Just last week, I visited Señor Villa with my family for a Friday night dinner, and I must say, it was a delightful experience.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table without any wait.
I ordered the chicken enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious!
The portions were huge, too, which meant I had leftovers for the next day.
My partner and kids were equally impressed with their dishes, praising the flavors and presentation.
In addition to the fantastic food, the ambiance of Señor Villa was cozy and inviting, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

The Ridge
As someone who frequents The Ridge, I've had my fair share of pleasant experiences there.
The salad bar is consistently excellent and a highlight of the meal.

One of my favorite places to start my day in downtown La Crosse has to be Grounded Patio Cafe.

The Root Note
One day, I decided to treat myself to a little breakfast and some coffee at The Root Note.

I also tried their herbal tea with blueberry, which was just as refreshing.
The atmosphere inside was tasteful, and there was plenty of seating available.

Whenever I'm in the mood for some authentic Latino food, this little corner taco restaurant always hits the spot.
The carne asada tacos, with tiny cubes of steak on corn tortillas, are absolutely phenomenal.
I always order mine with just cilantro and onions - trust me, you won't be disappointed.
My daughter Bree and I have tried tacos all across the country, and Super Street Tacos consistently ranks in our top three.
We also love to share an order of their nachos, which are just heavenly.
The right amount of cheese, the perfect texture, and the ideal balance of jalapenos, gooeyness, and crunch - it doesn't get much better than this.
North Country Steak Buffet
One of my favorite places to dine with my family is North Country Steak Buffet.
The casual, kid-friendly atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a relaxing weekend meal or a family get-together.
The buffet offers a wide selection of food options, including steaks and burgers cooked to order, and their Sunday brunch is something I always look forward to.
The food at North Country Steak Buffet is simply fantastic.

Driftless Axe and Arcade
I recently visited Driftless Axe and Arcade with a group of friends, and we had an absolute blast!
The drinks were served quickly, and the atmosphere was perfect for laughing and bonding with friends.
The axe throwing was so much fun, and we even got to choose different target types.
We didn't try the food, but the main attraction was definitely the axe-throwing itself.

On another occasion, I dined at JavaVino the night before participating in the La Crosse Half Marathon.
I opted for the Mac and Cheese.
I ordered it "hot" with Sriracha and jalapeños and added pulled pork.
It was a tasty dish and had the kick I was looking for.
One of my favorite things to order at JavaVino is their featured daily burger.
The jalapeno popper burger and fajita burger have been recent favorites of mine.

Uno Venti Pizzeria
I absolutely love going to Uno Venti Pizzeria for date nights.
The pizza here is absolutely fantastic, and I cannot get enough of their pepperoni mushroom pizza, which is always cooked to perfection.
They also have a delicious pistachio dessert that everyone raves about, although I usually don't have room for it after indulging in their pizza.
I remember one evening when my partner and I were initially seated inside but decided we wanted to enjoy the lovely weather outside.
Their location in downtown LaCrosse is perfect, making it convenient for me to visit whenever I want.
