M & P Biancamano

I can't help but grin every time I step into M & P Biancamano, a quaint, old-school Italian deli nestled in my neighborhood.

Run by a spirited husband-wife duo, the place is bustling with chatter and the irresistible aroma of homemade mozzarella.

They craft this dairy delight from scratch every single day, which, believe it or not, has now become a local legend in its own right!

This isn't your typical fancy deli but rather a cozy spot with a few chairs and charming, family-style decor that harks back to a simpler time.

Yet, it’s not the decor, but the hearty, ginormous sandwiches that have truly won my heart.

The meticulously prepared layers of high-quality deli meats make for a meal so huge it can easily be split into two.

The mozzarella, oh the mozzarella!

It is simply a revelation.

It's unlike anything you'll find in a store - fresh, creamy, and absolutely divine.

I found a new appreciation for mozzarella thanks to their sandwiches.

Beyond that, they also supply their incredible mozzarella to the local salad shop, Alfalfa's.

Their chicken parmigiana sandwich is another one of my favorites - generous in portion and absolutely bursting with flavors.

You can even ask them to cater for parties.

They once arranged a platter full of their delicious sandwiches for a party I hosted and it was an instant hit!

Now, there's a slight catch - they're cash only.

But don't worry, there's an ATM right inside.

I'm telling you, Alfalfa is where it's at!

This place is a dream come true for all salad lovers out there.

The atmosphere has this cool, laid-back vibe, which I absolutely love.

Plus, they offer great takeout options.

Speaking of options, their menu is quite diverse, but my personal favorite is that you can make your salad.

I've had their Laguna and West Coast salads, and let me tell you, the avocado in those salads - just a chef's kiss.

Plus, the dressing?

I always get it on the side to savor every drop.

I've tried their unsweetened tea, and it was fantastic, but they also have coffees, lattes, and even matcha lattes.

Now here's a fun fact, they also have pop-up shops from time to time.

It's too cute. Plus, they offer free infused water to go.

One of my favorite places to eat in Hoboken is definitely Pokemoto.

It's my go-to spot for a delicious Poke bowl, and let me tell you, they never disappoint.

Each bowl is a gastronomic delight with the freshest salmon and shrimp and veggies that still have a satisfying crunch.

The sticky rice is always fluffy, making it the perfect base for all those wonderful toppings.

The real standout at Pokemoto though is the sauces and the wide selection of mix-ins and toppings.

It's like having a little adventure each time I visit, trying out different combinations and discovering new favorites.

The restaurant itself is a visual treat.

The interior is tastefully done, giving off a vibe that's both chill and vibrant.

It's a place that just makes you feel good the minute you walk in.

And if you're vegetarian like me, you'll appreciate the many options they have.

Each dish is filled with fresh and flavorful ingredients that make for a truly satisfying meal.

Oh, and let's not forget about the bubble tea!

It's always a good idea to order one with your bowl.

It's the perfect way to round off a meal.

Vito's Deli

Whenever I'm hit with the nostalgia of my mother's homemade sandwiches, I find myself at Vito's Deli.

It's an Italian deli that encapsulates all the simplicity and rich divine flavors that made our Sunday sandwich-making sessions unforgettable.

Every time I walk through the doors of Vito's, the warm aroma of fresh bread welcomes me, their loaves always as soft and fresh as they come.

The sandwiches here are simply out of this world.

I particularly love the Prosciutto de Parma with fresh mutz, lightly seasoned and always generously portioned.

The same goes for their roast beef and mutz, the portioning is just as satisfying.

But Vito's doesn't stop at sandwiches.

I've often found myself blown away by their dense Italian subs.

Their value for money is unmatched.

For just $10, you get a packed sub that leaves you full and satisfied, a rare find in New York.

And let's talk about their fresh mozzarella, the star of the show.

It's absolutely delicious and adds an authentic Italian touch to every bite.

Hungry Like The Wolf

I decided to give Hungry Like The Wolf a try on a Saturday evening.

I was delighted to see they had various options for me to choose from.

The ambiance was inviting, with a casual indoor-outdoor feel coupled with some music.

The cauliflower bites were scrumptious, and the impossible burger was to my liking.

I also get to play a round of darts with other patrons.

Finnegan's Pub

I'll let you in on a local secret, Finnegan's Pub.

Nestled in the heart of Hoboken, it's a spot that's always buzzing with activity.

One step inside, and you're greeted by an undeniably charming Irish-style haunt.

I usually find myself at Finnegan's when the week's been long, the weather's a little too cold, and the idea of a warm Guinness pint is just too good to resist.

They're not just professional; they're entertaining and make a point to remember your usual order.

You can't talk about Finnegan's without mentioning the food.

The menu teems with so many good options it's hard to try them all.

But let me assure you, everything I've had has been delicious.

From the fish & chips to the quesadillas, it's the ideal comfort food for a pub setting.

But Finnegan's isn't just about the food and drinks.

It's about the atmosphere.

Whether it's a live band on a Friday night or a bunch of local, national, and international sports playing on well-placed screens, there's always something to keep you entertained.

Piki Poke

Oh, you have got to try Piki Poke, it's my go-to spot when I want something tasty, healthy, and satisfying.

I've been going there for a while now, and it never disappoints.

First of all, you should know that it's not just a poke bowl place.

Sure, the food looks raw in pictures, but the flavors are absolutely top-notch.

The food bowls are hefty, and every bite is packed with taste.

Believe me, you won't leave this place feeling hungry.

Whether I pick up my order or get it delivered, the service is always quick, friendly, and efficient.

You can genuinely tell that they put care into the preparation of their food.

And the presentation?

It's as appealing as the taste.

Court Street

In the heart of my city, you'll stumble upon an exquisite dining locale known as Court Street.

The moment you step foot into this space, you are greeted with a cozy atmosphere, white-tablecloth settings, and a bar that serves a range of delightful beverages.

The culinary journey here is a classic mix of American surf & turf and Continental favorites that never fail to please the palate.

During my previous visit, I savored the cow liver, a dish that was not just incredibly tasty but also beautifully presented.

The portion size was just right, leaving me satiated and content.

The wine list here is also worth a mention; it's both extensive and reasonably priced.

One of my favorite memories is sharing a baked brie appetizer with friends, indulging in a delicious red snapper over risotto, and finishing the meal with a glass of Pinot Noir.

La Casa

One place that holds a special place in my heart is La Casa, a cozy cafe nestled in the heart of downtown.

Touched with a sense of rustic charm, this small yet inviting bistro always manages to transport me to a different world, one filled with irresistible Latin comfort eats.

Every morning, I find myself drawn to La Casa's streetside tables, where a hearty breakfast awaits.

Their menu is loaded with classic Hispanic dishes that come at an affordable price, making it a popular spot in the neighborhood.

But what sets it apart is the quality and taste of the food.

Each dish is prepped and seasoned to perfection.

One of my all-time favorites is the garlic shrimp and chicken specialty dish with rice.

The flavor is simply out of this world!

Not to mention the generous portion size, it's big enough to satisfy two hungry souls.

Lunchtime at La Casa is another experience altogether.

Their lunch menu has a variety you wouldn't want to miss out on.

The dishes are not just delicious but also authentic and full of flavor.

And if you have a sweet tooth, their desserts will make you swoon.

Chango Kitchen

If you're searching for the real taste of Cuban and Latin cuisine, look no further than Chango Kitchen.

Located right here at our doorstep in Hoboken, NJ, this little gem has quickly become one of my go-to spots to satisfy my craving for traditional Cuban dishes.

The food is simply delightful, and the weekend brunch is something to look forward to after a long week.

The menu at Chango is varied and packed with authentic Cuban flavors.

From appetizers that you'd gobble down in no time to the more substantial dishes, everything is prepared with a lot of care and attention.

I highly recommend trying their variety of small plates - a great way to taste different dishes in one sitting.

Part of what makes Chango Kitchen stand out for me, though, is the ambiance.

It's laid-back, cozy, and lively all at once.

The Cuban music playing in the background adds a touch of nostalgia and transports you to the streets of Havana.

Ali Baba

When the day winds down, and the lights of Hoboken start to flicker on, there's no better place to head to for a quick bite than Ali Baba.

It's a casual BYOB eatery that serves up some of the most authentic Middle Eastern fare you'll find in the city.

And let me tell you, the ambiance of this family-run business adds so much to the dining experience.

The food at Ali Baba is just perfect - not overly spicy or tasteless.

The portions are big, making it great for sharing with family or friends.

Trust me, their meat dishes are excellent, and the chicken is decent too.

Although I'm not a huge fan of gyros in general, Ali Baba's take on it was surprisingly good!

What really sets Ali Baba apart is its kebab meat preparation, which happens to be one of the best I've ever had.

The house-made hummus and baba ghanoush are quite authentic and will remind you of the traditional Middle Eastern flavors.

The spinach pies have just the right amount of lemon and an excellent dough-to-spinach ratio.

And if you've never tried baked kibbeh before, this is the place to do it.

But the crown jewel of Ali Baba has to be their falafel, which is arguably the best in Hoboken.

It pairs excellently with their hummus.

I remember the first time I stepped into Mario's Classic Pizza.

The aroma of fresh baking pizza wafted through the air, immediately hooking my senses.

Since then, I have been a frequent visitor, and each time, the experience just gets better.

The pizza, always loaded with generous toppings and cheese, is crisp on the edges, soft in the middle, and just the right kind of savory - truly the best authentic Italian pizza I've ever tasted in New Jersey.

But it's not just the food that brings me back time and again.

I went to Stingray Lounge one Thursday evening for some cocktails and appetizers.

The food and drinks were incredible!

The portions were surprisingly large and absolutely delicious.

The service was attentive and swift, and the whole place had a charming, intimate atmosphere.

It can get quite loud inside, but this was part of the vibrant, energetic vibe that Stingray exudes.

I have to mention their non-alcoholic "Into the Void" Mocktail was simply refreshing.

The mix of sweet and tart blackberry flavor was a delight to the taste buds.

And then there was the charcuterie - it was spot on!

The garlic shrimp were so flavorsome that they left my palate craving for more.

They have a fantastic happy hour that lasts until 6 pm, with a half-off on sparkling wine and oysters.

They're absolutely delicious, and unlike anything else I've tasted before.

You know, they say Moran's serves the best burger in Hoboken, and I couldn't agree more.

The cheeseburger here is an absolute delight - fresh, juicy, and cooked to perfection.

La Bohème Restaurant

I've had the pleasure of dining at La Bohème Restaurant on multiple occasions, and the experience has always been nothing short of spectacular.

The food is the real star of the show, though.

My usual starter is the steak tartare, which is simply to die for, and the Soupe à l'oignon, a French classic that they nail every time.

For entrees, I've tried both the Côtelettes d’Agneau and the Bavette à l'échalote, and I can't decide which one I like more.

Each dish is cooked to absolute perfection, full of flavor and the kind of tenderness that makes you savor every bite.

To wrap up the meal, the Tarte Tatin A la Mode is my dessert of choice.

It's the perfect ending to a perfect meal, and I highly recommend it to anyone dining here for the first time.

The restaurant also boasts a wide range of alcoholic beverages and their whiskey sour is one of my favorites.

Recently, I discovered they are open for lunch, and I couldn't be happier!

I tried the lamb sausage sandwich, and even though I'm usually a stickler for toasted bread, it was surprisingly delicious as is.

I also sampled their cheesecake, which was fantastic, and nothing like the usual uninspired restaurant dessert.

There's something for everyone at La Bohème, whether you prefer meat or seafood.
