La Patrona Mexican Restaurant Taqueria

The other day, I decided to finally give La Patrona Mexican Restaurant Taqueria a try, and I must say, it did not disappoint!

Right from the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

As I settled into the cozy dining area, I noticed the music was soft enough to allow for easy conversation without having to raise my voice.

The food arrived promptly, and everything tasted fresh and delicious.

It was a pleasant and unexpected surprise!

During my visit, I also had the chance to observe a large group of people who were allowed to rearrange tables to accommodate their party.

The fries in the Carne Asada Fries and the horchata were great.

3 Agaves Mexican Restaurant

Just recently, I decided to check out the new 3 Agaves Greenwood location for lunch, and I am so glad I did!

From the moment I noticed the meticulous window cleaning, I had a feeling I was in for a treat.

Upon entering, I was taken aback by the beautiful decor and immaculate cleanliness of the place.

You can learn more about this amazing restaurant on their website: 3 Agaves Mexican Restaurant.

I happened to visit on a Thursday, which meant I got to indulge in their Steak Fajita lunch special - and it did not disappoint!

The chips and salsa were delicious as well.

What I found particularly appealing was their lunch card offering.

Between 11 am and 3 pm, after purchasing five lunches, your sixth one is free!

My visit to 3 Agaves was not a one-time thing.

I had the pleasure of joining friends for their Taco Tuesday, where tacos were only $1.25 each.

We tried both beef and chicken tacos, with the chicken ones being especially juicy and flavorful.

Antilogy

I recently dined at Antilogy after waiting to give them some time to get into their groove, and I must say, the experience was worth the wait.

Although we had to wait for about 5 minutes to get a table, I appreciated that they sent a text when our table was ready, allowing us to step away from the front without worrying about missing our turn.

The food her was absolutely delicious.

The Bourbon Candied Bacon was heavenly, and I could eat it every day.

I also enjoyed the Vanilla Bourbon French Toast, which had a perfect balance of sweetness and thickness of the bread.

The atmosphere at Antilogy is fantastic, with great decor and a comfortable environment that includes couches, booths, and tables.

Yokohama Greenwood

I have always heard about the amazing sushi at Yokohama Greenwood.

Finally, I decided to give it a try last week, and I must say it exceeded my expectations.

The atmosphere was laid-back and perfect for a relaxing dinner with friends or a loved one.

The miso soup we started with was amazing - not too salty, just the right balance of flavors.

The sushi rolls were some of the best I've had locally - fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.

I particularly enjoyed the Sweetheart roll; the combination of spicy tuna and spicy mayo gave it just the right amount of kick.

Oaken Barrel Brewing Company

One of my favorite places to grab a bite and enjoy some local brews is at Oaken Barrel Brewing Company.

I've been going there for a few years now, and it never disappoints.

The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, with sports playing on the TVs and a great mix of people filling the place.

I usually start off with a Razzwheat beer, which is light and refreshing, with just a hint of sweetness.

The menu offers a wide variety of hearty American fare, so there's something for everyone.

My go-to dish is the pot roast – it's tender, well-seasoned, and comes with a delicious gravy made from one of their house beers.

I also love their mesquite smoked ribs and, of course, the hot lava cake for dessert.

The service can sometimes be hit or miss, but I've had more good experiences than bad ones.

On busier nights, it can get a bit loud, but that's part of the charm of a bustling brewpub.

Red Sun

Red Sun has become my go-to spot whenever I'm in the mood for some delicious Asian cuisine.

The moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and welcoming atmosphere that this family-owned restaurant exudes.

The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, but my absolute favorite has to be the Hot Lover – it's a must-try if you ever visit Red Sun!

I also appreciate that they have lunch prices, which makes it an affordable option for a midday meal.

The lobster rangoon could use a bit more filling, but other than that, the food is consistently satisfying.

The restaurant is kept clean, and they offer drink refills, which is always a plus.

Whenever I have friends or family visiting from out of town, I make it a point to bring them to Red Sun.

You can find their location on Google Maps.

Revery Greenwood

Let me tell you about a true gem in our town: Revery.

This is the place to go when you want to indulge in seasonal, local New American cuisine and craft beers.

The atmosphere is just perfect, with exposed wood and brick giving it a hip and cozy feel.

I have dined here multiple times, and each visit is simply amazing.

The food?

Absolutely scrumptious!

I still remember my first cheese curd appetizer and dessert with churros.

It was so good, I didn't even have time to take a picture!

We ended up ordering the pork tenderloin, pork chop, fried oyster appetizer (which was the special of the evening), foie gras appetizer, and a delicious banana dessert.

Each dish was beautifully cooked, and the flavors melded together perfectly.

Yats Restaurant

One of my go-to places for a delicious and affordable meal in town has always been Yats Restaurant.

Their laid-back and counter-serve atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a quick lunch or dinner.

As someone who enjoys hearty and flavorful dishes, the unique New Orleans cuisine at Yats never disappoints.

Whenever I crave some Cajun food, I order their red beans & rice or the chili cheese Étouffée, which are both generously portioned and full of interesting flavors.

Though it might not be the most authentic Cajun experience compared to what you'd find in Louisiana, it's still a delicious and popular option in our city.

I also appreciate their friendly and fast service.

Many people prefer to get their food to go, but I enjoy dining in at the restaurant whenever possible.

It's usually not too crowded, making it a nice spot to catch up with friends over a tasty meal.

And if you're a fan of spicy food, don't forget to try their special Yats homemade hot sauce!

Roku Sushi & Pho

I absolutely love going to Roku Sushi & Pho for a delicious meal.

My daughter and I have made it a tradition to try out new spots for Saturday lunch, and we stumbled upon this place when we were craving both sushi and pho.

The food there is outstanding, with every dish being so fresh and flavorful.

Some of our favorites include spicy crab and spicy tuna rolls, crab Rangoon, and jalapeno bombs.

My daughter usually orders the House Pho (without the tripe), while I can't resist the Crispy Pork Belly.

Each dish arrives beautifully plated and bursting with taste.

The atmosphere is welcoming, with a clean and tidy environment.

Plus, the pricing is reasonable, and the location is convenient.

I absolutely love my neighborhood, especially when I discover hidden gems like Strange Bird!

As someone who lives nearby, I've had the pleasure of visiting this place multiple times, and let me tell you, it never disappoints.

They definitely know how to make a visitor feel welcome!

One of my favorite things about Strange Bird is their incredible drinks.

Every time I go, I know I can expect something delicious that's made with pride.

But, of course, we can't forget about the food.

Their happy hour oyster options are some of the freshest and best I've ever had.

And trust me, I've had a lot of oysters!

The location itself is in such a friendly and historic area, making it a popular spot for locals like me.

It's always great to see familiar faces while enjoying good food and drinks.

Another thing I appreciate is the variety of foods they offer.

It allows me to keep coming back and never get bored of the menu.

Kissaten Restaurant (Indianapolis)

One of my favorite places to grab a delicious and convenient meal is Kissaten Restaurant.

When I don't feel like eating in, I often take my food home, and I'm always impressed by how well it's packaged.

The containers are sealed tightly, keeping the food hot and fresh, and nothing ever spills or leaks during the ride home.

Their menu offers a variety of tasty options, and I've enjoyed many of their dishes, such as the Mushroom Chicken and Vegetable Tofu Curry with a side of Edamame.

Not only is the food at Kissaten delicious, but the prices are also reasonable, and the portions are generous.

One of my favorite dishes to order is the spicy miso ramen, which is always packed full of flavor.

I've also tried their karaage, and the chicken is so plump and juicy that it's absolutely mouthwatering – especially with the dipping sauce they provide.

Another great addition to any meal at Kissaten is their smoothies, which are always super tasty and refreshing.

Greek Islands (Indianapolis)

I recently dined at Greek Islands, and it did not disappoint!

The cozy, family-oriented atmosphere made for a perfect night out.

The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Greek dishes, and the famous flaming cheese appetizer, called saganaki, was a must-have.

It arrived at our table in a dramatic, fiery display and left a lasting impression.

The main dishes were equally mouth-watering.

I enjoyed a hearty serving of pastitsio, which was filled with layers of pasta, seasoned ground beef, and creamy béchamel sauce.

The chicken gyro was also a hit, especially with the addition of feta cheese.

The portions were generous, and each dish was packed with flavor, making it an unforgettable meal.

Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza (Indianapolis)

Just the other day, I decided to grab a bite at Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza, and I must say, it's always a treat to dine in this homey, family-friendly eatery.

They offer a wide selection of gourmet-style pizzas and sandwiches, and they even have beer and wine to pair with the meals.

I've been here a few times, and my experiences have been quite mixed.

On one occasion, I ordered a large pizza with extra cheese, but the amount of cheese seemed far from "extra."

On my recent visit, I had the opportunity to try their Seafood Creole pizza on a gluten-free crust.

It was absolutely amazing!

The service was 5-star as well!

Egg Roll Number 1 (Indianapolis)

If there's one thing I know well, it's good food.

I've had my fair share of meals in various restaurants, but one that has always stood out to me is Egg Roll Number 1.

It's a fantastic little Chinese and Vietnamese joint known for its affordable lunch deals and giant wall menu.

One of my favorite dishes there is #1 on the Thai menu – it's a bit spicy but absolutely amazing!

My partner often orders the honey chicken, and we both love the fried dumplings and crab Rangoon.

We started frequenting Egg Roll Number 1 after our previous favorite Chinese restaurant closed, and I must say, this place does not disappoint.

Their extensive menu can make it hard to decide on what to order, but I guarantee that you'll be happy with whatever you choose.

The pepper steak is a wonderful choice for lunch, and don't even get me started on their spring rolls – they're some of the best in Indianapolis, in my opinion.

Carnitas Y Taqueria La Frontera (Indianapolis)

If there's one place that I can't resist in my neighborhood, it's Carnitas Y Taqueria La Frontera.

The moment I stepped inside, I knew that I was in for quite a treat.

The atmosphere is wonderful - clean, friendly, and full of energy.

Let me tell you about the tacos.

They're incredibly delicious, especially the carnitas, which are their specialty.

I've tried other options like chorizo, and al pastor tacos, and they never disappoint.

The weekends are extra special because they offer quesabirria, menudo, and pozole, which are all mouthwatering.

I also have to mention the choriqueso.

I could eat it every day - it's that good!

And you can't leave without trying the chicharron, which is always fresh and crispy.

I've been to many taco places, even some of the top shops in California, and Carnitas Y Taqueria La Frontera holds its own among the best.

I recently tried their Gordita, and it was heavenly.

The crispy exterior and warm, flavorful filling of meat, veggies, and cheese just hit the spot.

I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items, especially the tacos de birria that are available on weekends only.

When I called in a last-minute order, they had it ready for me within 10 minutes, hot and fresh.

I have tried various Thai restaurants, but Thai Recipes Restaurant has become my favorite!

Every time I dine here, I am always impressed by their delicious and authentic Thai dishes.

The restaurant is conveniently located in a strip mall, and their website provides all the information you need about their menu and location.

Upon arriving at Thai Recipes Restaurant, I am always greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere.

The dining area is simple but clean and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family.

One of the things I appreciate most about this place is the complimentary soup and spring rolls served as appetizers while waiting for our main dishes.

It's a nice touch that makes me feel truly valued as a customer.

During my visits, I have tried various dishes, and every single one has been flavorful and made with high-quality ingredients.

Their Thai sweetened tea with milk is a must-try.

I have also noticed that some of their dishes, such as the masaman curry, lean towards the sweeter side, but that's just their style, and in my opinion, it's still delicious.

The friendly and swift service, coupled with the all-you-can-eat sushi option, makes each visit a delightful one.

Vito Provolone's (Indianapolis)

I have to admit, I was skeptical when my friends told me about this cozy little Italian place they had discovered.

But after my own visit to Vito Provolone's last night, I'm more than happy to join the fan club!

As soon as I walked in, the delicious aroma of their homemade sauces filled the air, and I knew I was in for a treat.

She made some excellent recommendations, like the chicken marsala and the lemon chicken, both of which were simply divine.

The house salad dressing was scrumptious, and the bread – oh, the bread!

Warm, crusty, and perfect for soaking up every last drop of sauce.

Speaking of sauce, I have to give special mention to the pasta dishes.

I'm a bit of a pasta connoisseur, and let me tell you, the quality and flavor of the pasta at Vito Provolone's rivals, even the most authentic Italian restaurants I've visited.

I already can't wait for my next visit – though next time, I'll be sure to make a reservation, as the place gets quite busy.

And don't forget to leave room for dessert!
