BiG Cafe and Shop- Brookwood in Georgetown

One of my favorite spots for breakfast in town is BiG Cafe and Shop- Brookwood in Georgetown.

Not only do they serve delicious, well-cooked meals, but they also go above and beyond to cater to your preferences.

What makes BiG Cafe even more special is the small store attached to it, where I love to browse through unique items before and after my meal.

I've picked up quite a few thoughtful gifts and trinkets from there!

Plus, it's heartwarming to know that they support the local community and work with disabled people.

Whenever I'm in the mood for a tasty brunch or a quick snack, BiG Cafe never fails to satisfy my cravings.

Their chicken salad croissant with soup has become my go-to meal, and I often enjoy it while making use of their free wifi and cozy seating.

Sweet Lemon Kitchen

Just the other day, I had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely brunch at Sweet Lemon Kitchen.

I invited some family members to join me, and we were not disappointed.

During our visit, we sampled the berry bread pudding, the grilled cheese, and the egg & cheese croissant.

The bread pudding was a delightful mix of sweet and tart, and the croissant was a buttery delight with perfectly cooked eggs.

I also decided to try their seasonal apple cider mimosa, which was a refreshing treat.

My family and I had a great time bonding over the delicious food and cozy ambiance.

One thing I particularly love about Sweet Lemon Kitchen is the ample seating options, including outdoor, indoor, and even a second-floor private dining room.

Their signature cream lavender latte with almond milk is a must-try for coffee lovers, as well as their flaky, crunchy croissants.

Juan & Lupe's Kitchen

Just last week, I visited Juan & Lupe’s Kitchen for the first time, and I can't believe I hadn't discovered this gem sooner.

The ambiance was so warm and welcoming, with that unmistakable home-cooked feel.

I decided to try their tacos, and boy, did they not disappoint.

The Pastor Taco, in particular, reminded me of the family gatherings at my house, where we'd cook together and bond over delicious food.

The guacamole and chips, also homemade, were another highlight of my visit.

And speaking of home, the unique setup of having the kitchen inside the dining room made me feel like I was actually at someone's house for dinner.

As someone who works at a taco place myself, I can confidently say that Juan & Lupe's Kitchen deserves high praise.

In addition to the amazing food, I also appreciated the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was spotless.

My friends and I had the chance to enjoy our meal on their lovely patio, which made for an even better experience.

Dale's Essenhaus

You wouldn't believe the incredible food and atmosphere I experienced at Dale's Essenhaus!

I decided to give it a try after hearing rave reviews from my neighbors, and it did not disappoint.

I ordered the stuffed schnitzel, while my husband went for the classic schnitzel.

Both dishes came with two sides and a roll, and the portions were generous and delicious.

Our waiter was a fantastic young man who answered all our questions honestly and made our dining experience even better.

I had heard that the burgers and blackened catfish were also amazing, so I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Not only is the food great, but Dale's Essenhaus also offers a taco stand, beer garden, and live music in the evening hours.

I can't wait to come back and enjoy a fun night out with friends in their outdoor area when the weather warms up.

Mango Tango Bistro and Bar

I always keep an eye out for new and interesting places to eat.

Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Mango Tango Bistro and Bar, an Asian restaurant that I had yet to try.

Their website caught my attention, so I decided to give it a shot.

I recently went to Mango Tango Bistro and Bar with a friend for lunch, and I must say, we had an amazing experience.

I ordered the taro smoothie with boba which was an absolute treat – cool, refreshing, and just the right level of sweet.

The Khmer lunch rice plate was also quite delicious, and it came with a tasty soup as part of the lunch meal deal.

I am definitely planning to go back soon!

What makes Mango Tango Bistro and Bar stand out even more is that it's a family-owned restaurant, and their attention to detail and customer satisfaction is evident.

I was happy to learn that they can replace meat in any dish with tofu, making the menu very accommodating.

We started with crispy tofu and fresh spring rolls, which were both light and fresh.

For our main courses, we tried the Khmer Street Noodles and the Birds Nest fried noodles – both of which were flavorful, although the level 3 spice on the fried noodles proved to be quite intense!

And, of course, the Khmer Iced Tea was the perfect sweet and refreshing beverage to complement the meal.

Their crab-fried rice and pork and rice come highly recommended, and I can't wait to try them on my next visit!

I recently stopped by Fuego Latino Gastropub on a busy Saturday for lunch, and I must say it was a fun and enjoyable experience.

The restaurant has a contemporary setting and offers a wide variety of elevated Latin American fare, clever cocktails, and local draft beer.

Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary chips and salsa, which had just the right amount of heat.

I ordered the tacos al pastor, which were delicious, while my friends tried the Cuban sandwich and the chicken and goat empanadas.

We also shared a side of tasty guacamole and chips.

The margaritas that some of my friends had were quite a hit too!

I've been a regular at Misu Sushi for quite some time now, and it has quickly become my go-to spot for Japanese cuisine in Georgetown.

Their casual setting makes it the perfect place to unwind after a long day and enjoy their extensive menu featuring sushi and bento boxes, with both dine-in and takeout options available.

My personal favorite is their Sakura roll, which is packed with tempura shrimp, mango avocado, spicy tuna, and other delicious ingredients.

I love adding a little soy sauce and chili oil to each bite to elevate the flavors even further.

Apart from their sushi rolls, I'm also a fan of their chicken fried rice, which, despite appearances, is incredibly flavorful and filling.

I recently dined at Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill in Georgetown, and I must say, it was a delightful experience.

The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the airy, relaxed ambiance, and the heated patio made for a cozy spot to enjoy my meal.

The service was friendly and efficient, as I was quickly seated, even on a busy Sunday morning.

I've eaten here twice now, and both times the food was delicious.

While the cornbread muffins were slightly different the second time around, they were still tasty.

The Southwestern fare is full of flavor, and the house margaritas are not to be missed.

One thing that stood out to me was their commitment to fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation.

The oyster shooter appetizer was a unique combination of fried oysters on blue corn tortilla chips with mango and cabbage slaw.

The steak fundido was another great appetizer option, but a bit on the heavier side.

For my main dish, I tried pork tacos, shrimp tacos, and beef and cheese enchiladas, and they were all mouthwatering.

Just a few days ago, my friends and I decided to try out Tony and Luigi's in Georgetown, and I must say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time!

She anticipated our every need and made sure we always had everything we wanted.

The menu was full of both Italian and Mediterranean dishes, making it difficult to choose just one.

We started with their Stuffed Mushrooms, which were divine.

For our entrees, I went with the Chicken Alla Madrid, while my friends opted for Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo.

The portions were generous, and the food tasted fresh and homemade - especially their warm rolls.

What really set this evening apart was the live entertainment they had.

As we enjoyed our delicious meal, we were serenaded by a talented singer performing Sinatra songs, making for a fantastic ambiance.

El Tio Nacho Taqueria

A few days ago, my friend and I were craving some Mexican food, so we decided to give El Tio Nacho Taqueria a try.

This cozy little joint is tucked away on the side of a gas station, but don't let that fool you – it's well worth the stop.

The menu may be limited, but they offer a variety of tacos and enchiladas, which seem to be the most recommended items on the menu.

My friend, on the other hand, went for the egg & cheese and chicken taco, and he was quite pleased with his choices as well.

The house-made sauces really added a nice kick to our meals.

What I loved about El Tio Nacho Taqueria was the friendly service and the laid-back atmosphere.

Greek Gyros

One of my favorite go-to places for a delicious and satisfying meal is Greek Gyros, a family-run Greek restaurant in town.

Every time I visit, I'm impressed by their tasty, wholesome food and the decent portions they serve.

The setting is small, clean, and practical, offering great value for the price.

What keeps me coming back, though, is the exceptional quality of their gyros.

The pita is super soft, the meat is tender and hot, and the tahini is perfectly balanced - garlicky but not too salty, smooth, and not too overpowering.

Their salads are also a pleasant surprise, with generous portions and standout flavors from the feta and olives.

He made great recommendations and made our night more enjoyable.

On a separate visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Aubrey.

She exemplified amazing customer service, being friendly and fast and offering us menu recommendations when we told her it was our first visit.

The menu offers a variety of options, and I particularly enjoyed the Tex-Mex beet salad with grilled chicken.

My husband had the smash burger, and there were zero leftovers.

Monument Cafe

One weekend, I decided to treat myself to a delicious breakfast at Monument Cafe, and I must say that it was an absolute delight.

Even though it was a busy Saturday morning, I didn't have to wait too long for a table.

The retro-inspired diner ambiance was so charming, and the service was quick and attentive.

I was thrilled with the complimentary biscuits and jelly that they served, and the portions were quite generous.

I ordered the Eggs Florentine, which was mouth-watering, and I couldn't help but try their buckwheat pancake too.

It was soft, fluffy, and the berries added a subtle sweetness that made it even more irresistible.

I also noticed a mention on their menu about no substitutions, which I thought was fair.

While waiting for my table, I discovered that the Lark and Owl bookstore has a side door connected to the Monument Cafe, which made it convenient for me to explore the bookstore and stay out of the heat.

I've heard great things about their lunch menu, too, so I'll definitely be back to try some other dishes, like the burger and onion rings that I saw someone enjoying nearby.

My go-to order is the Gyro Combo, which comes with a generous portion of roasted lamb and beef, rice pilaf, greek style meatball, and a side of tzatziki sauce.

The meat is always perfectly seasoned and tender, making it an absolute delight to eat.

On days when I'm feeling a bit more adventurous, I'll opt for one of their other delicious options, like the grape leaf dolmas or the baklava for dessert.
