Just be aware of it so as not to be surprised when the bill comes.

Banh Mi & Tea

I've tried both the traditional ribs and rib tips, and though both are excellent, I lean towards the rib tips.
They are just easier to manage, and I find it easier to restrain myself - otherwise, I might end up devouring everything on the menu!
Wicked Good Deli
Don't we all have those days when we crave something sinfully delicious instead of just going through the routine of healthy eating?
Well, I had one of those days recently, and guess where it led me?
To Wicked Good Deli!
As I stepped in, the Reuben sandwich on the specials board called out to me.
So, I abandoned my initial plans of having something bland and healthy for the day and gave in to the lure of the sandwich.
It didn't take long for my order to be ready.
A generous serving of pastrami, topped with Swiss cheese, kraut, and mustard, all packed between slices of grilled rye.
I must admit, it wasn't the best pastrami I've ever tasted, but the sandwich as a whole was quite a delight.
While I was busy enjoying my sandwich, I couldn't help but notice my brother's chicken parm.
It looked as delightful as it could get, and judging by my brother's reaction, it tasted just as good.
Sneaking in a few fries from his plate, I was impressed by their perfect crispiness.
Let me tell you about my second visit to this place; I chose to try the Steak Bomb potato.
"Wow," was all I could manage to say after my first bite.
The steak was tender, the onions, mushrooms, peppers, salami, and cheese all came together beautifully over a perfectly baked potato.
It isn't something I would treat myself with on a regular basis, but on that particular day, it was more than just a treat.

Just when I thought I had seen all that our lovely corner of SWFL had to offer, I stumbled upon HJ German Corner.

Crispy and divine, they were hands down the best I've ever had.
I also had a schnitzel which was served with red cabbage that was utterly phenomenal.
I finished off my meal with an apple strudel which perfectly hit the sweet spot.
But the experience wouldn't have been complete without their beer – it was served ice cold and tasted so refreshing.

Bangkok Thai Restaurant
Located in a simple strip-center venue, Bangkok Thai Restaurant has been my go-to spot for traditional Thai dishes for quite a while now.

On another occasion, I tried their Sweet and Sour Pork, which was absolutely delicious.
One of the highlights for me has to be trying Singha, a Thai beer, for the first time at this very restaurant.
They also serve sake, which is a nice touch.
On special occasions, they have been known to surprise guests with a complimentary dessert, much like when a friend's son celebrated his 21st birthday here.
Blanc
I've always been a bit of a foodie, so I make it a point to try out places that promise unique culinary experiences.
And I must say, Blanc is one of those restaurants that has truly lived up to my expectations.
The restaurant offers a fantastic blend of French, Asian, and Latin flavors that has quickly made it a must-visit spot for me.
The interior is narrow and modern, offering an air of intimacy that I've come to appreciate.
But, you should be warned that the place is small, and getting a reservation can be quite tricky.
I remember one night when I had to wait a bit because my bar reservation wasn't available on time.
But the moment the cheese tray, complete with a divine fig jam, was brought to my table, all was forgiven.
I tried out the pork chop and grouper, both of which were served impeccably.
The salsa did make the grouper a tad mushy, but the gravy on the pork chop was so amazing that I barely noticed.
And don't even get me started on the potato gratin!
It was absolutely incredible.
Burntwood Tavern
I've had the pleasure of dining at Burntwood Tavern on multiple occasions, and it's a place I always find myself returning to.
The vibe is relaxed and homey, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long day.
The star attraction at Burntwood Tavern has to be the food.
It really is something you have to experience for yourself.
Each mouthful is a delight, full of flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

The Lucky Screw
It's always a pleasure to spend my Saturday evenings at The Lucky Screw.
Their international bar bites and extensive wine selection never disappoint.
I particularly love the Short Rib dinner, which comes with mashed potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms.
The meal always has an incredible depth of flavor without being overly salty.
The meat is tender and served in just the right portion size.

3 Pepper Burrito Company
I must say, I've fallen in love with the 3 Pepper Burrito Company, a place I frequently visit for lunch, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week.
They have the freshest food, right from the tortillas, which they make to order by pressing the dough, to their toppings that are bursting with flavor.
I'll never forget the day when Carl served me.
He was such a delight, making me feel like I was part of the 3 Pepper family.
He even went out of his way to bring our food to our table and clean it up afterward.
Now that is a service worth appreciating!
But my most frequent visits are for their high-quality, delicious food.
The cilantro lime sauce is a personal favorite.
Every meal feels worth the money, especially because they all come with chips and salsa.
And let me not forget about their desserts.
Especially the cookierito, it's as if I could just float on it.
It's my favorite!
El Pilón Caribbean Cuisine
One of my frequent haunts in the city is a family-run eatery called El Pilón Caribbean Cuisine.
Nestled in a snug little corner, this place emanates a casual, laid-back vibe that's hard to miss.
It's not uncommon to find the place buzzing with activity, typically at about 70% capacity with its 18 tables.
The seating is self-determined, which adds a sense of informality to the whole experience.
I decided to try the Masitas de pollo with arroz con gandules and Sorullos de maíz for starters.
The rice with Gandules had an unexpected ingredient - smoked salmon, which was surprisingly good.
The Sorullos also provided a delightful balance to the meal.
India's Grill Fort Myers
You know, there's something special about finding that perfect spot in your local area that serves up your favorite cuisine.
For me, that's India's Grill Fort Myers. I've always had a soft spot for Indian food, and this place is like hitting the jackpot.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is always warm and welcoming.
It's the perfect setting to indulge in some traditional Indian dishes, all freshly prepared.
I absolutely love the fact that they offer vegan and vegetarian options, too - it's not something you find everywhere.

This place has the biggest pancakes I've ever seen!
They are not only huge but also thin and extremely tasty.
The best part is the heated syrup that they serve you with.

Another recommendation would be the Hangover Omelet.
Despite it being served in a diner setup, it isn't greasy at all.
In fact, it is a perfect omelet that is loaded and still holds together so well.
I am pretty sure they use one of those omelet makers you see on TV.
The hash browns here are a solid choice, too.
They are a bit thicker than what I usually prefer, but they are still crispy on the outside, so it's not a problem.
The best part about this place is that they serve most items all day long.
So you don't have to worry about wanting breakfast for lunch or vice versa.
I've tried their hangover omelet with grits and rye toast, as well as the chopped steak with mashed potatoes and corn, and they were all delightful.
The Standard Restaurant Downtown
On a recent Friday evening, I decided to head over to The Standard Restaurant Downtown for a bite.
Its reputation for serving elevated American dishes, alongside an inviting atmosphere of trivia nights and craft cocktails, had piqued my interest.
The ambiance was pleasant, and the folks were friendly.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a wide variety of Italian dishes apart from the American ones on their menu.
In fact, their Bolognese was actually really good, with a perfect balance of noodles, sauce, and meat.
It was a sizable portion that was quite satisfactory.
The blackened chicken alfredo was also pretty good, and I enjoyed the crunchy bread that came along to dip into the noodles.
Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls
