Also, Joe's Bar is not trying to be hip or trendy; it's not masquerading as a retro bar, but rather is a beautiful original.
It's the perfect place to unwind with an ice-cold beer and listen to Joe's captivating tales.
You'll meet the most interesting folks in city here, and if you don't have a good time, that's on you.
This bar might look like a simple watering hole, but it's so much more than that.
Foundry Kitchen and Bar
Let me tell you about my new favorite spot in city- Foundry Kitchen and Bar.
It's this casual, industrial-chic venue that offers some of the most delectable pub grub you've ever tasted.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill bar, no.
The food is elevated, the craft beers are diverse, and there's always a game-day special that will knock your socks off!
My first time there, I decided to try their Korean BBQ chicken sandwich and boy, am I glad I did!
It was juicy, flavorful, and simply mouthwatering.
To wash it down, I had one of their stouts.
With each sip, I fell more and more in love with the place.
Tempted by the smell wafting from the nearby table, I also ordered a pizza.
It was just as amazing as it smelled - the crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh, and the cheese was gooey and delicious.

If pizza had a home, it would most definitely be at Cozzeria Pizzeria.
This charming mom and pop establishment is where I've found some of the most mouth-watering pizzas in city.
My partner and I are regular patrons, and we've tried an array of their delightful offerings.
Still dreaming about the pierogi pizza we devoured on our last visit.
It was an unusual but delightful take on a classic, absolutely delicious.
The chicken bacon ranch pizza also deserves a special mention.
As pizza connoisseurs, we often order thin crust, and although it wasn’t as thin or crispy as we typically prefer, the taste was undeniably good.
We’re already planning to give them another shot soon.

But the real showstopper has to be their wings - both bone-in and boneless.
We ordered them with BBQ, garlic parmesan, and Buffalo sauces.

Now, I've sampled a reasonable number of BBQ joints, from renowned ones in Memphis and Carolina to chains like Dickey's and Famous Dave's.
But let me tell you, Uncle Bo's is right up there with the best.
Landing upon Uncle Bo's was a pure stroke of serendipity, when a bout of lake effect snow led us to spend the night nearby.
It was an unassuming location, an old Lonestar that wasn't exactly bustling at 8 pm on a Friday.
But the moment the tantalizing aroma of BBQ wafted into our nostrils, we knew we were in for a treat.
The decor was charmingly rustic, and the menu was a delightful blend of traditional BBQ staples and unique treats.
Their offerings run the gamut from a catfish special, which I learned is a big hit during Lent in Elyria, to a mouthwatering platter of Beef Brisket.
The drink menu is equally impressive, with a wide selection of beers, wines, and alcohol concoctions.
We ordered Ozark Lemonaid and Carolina Blueshine, a decision we didn't regret.
During our meal, we asked for extra jalapeno and were presented with a whole fresh one.
Yihi Japan
"Busy and bustling" is how I'd describe a typical day at Midway Mall, and right in the thick of it all, you'll find Yihi Japan.
You can't miss it; whether you are shopping or just passing by, the scent of sizzling teriyaki is enough to turn heads.

I'll tell you this, the food is worth the wait.
The beef teriyaki is usually my go-to meal, although I must confess, there have been a few occasions where the beef was overcooked and the teriyaki sauce was a bit scant.

The eggrolls too have a way of drawing you in with their crispy, golden-brown allure.
They might get a tad too crispy sometimes, but they still pack a punch with the right amount of stuffing.
And the crab Rangoon? Absolutely delightful, even without the sauce.

Nestled right here in our bustling city, it is the perfect blend of a convenience store and a deli.
What sets FriendShip Kitchen apart, you ask?
Well, it's not just the fuel for your car that they offer, but also fuel for your body.
Their deli section is what dreams are made of.
A particular favorite of mine, and apparently many others, is their Mac & Cheese.
A word of caution though, their popularity means they run out quickly so be sure to call ahead and place your order.
However, what truly makes FriendShip Kitchen stand out is a perfect combination of its quality products and friendly service.
The place is always well stocked with healthier and different food selections than your standard gas station fare.
It's like a mini-gourmet store right in your gas station.
Speaking of friendly service, they seem to prioritize customer satisfaction quite highly.
Final Thoughts
After many meals and many memories, I can confidently say that Elyria is a city that truly knows how to dine.
Ultimately, these wonderful establishments not only serve up amazing food, but they also serve as a testament to the diverse, vibrant, and welcoming community that is Elyria.
