The Mexican hot dogs were simply amazing, and the fries, lonches, and charro beans were seasoned to perfection.
You can find the place here on Google Maps.
The bartenders always know how to keep the drinks flowing, and the food is consistently great.
I even went to an upscale taqueria restaurant once, and their food didn't come close to what Serrano's has to offer.
Plus, the live music always adds to the warm and friendly environment.

I love going to Barillas Restaurant every time I crave delicious and generous portions of Mexican dishes with great service.
Their plates are huge, and I often warn my friends to order wisely because one plate can easily serve two people.
The food is consistently hot, fresh, and delicious.
Their carne guisada plate and Barillas burger are some of my favorites, and I always end up with enough leftovers for another meal.
I also enjoy their warm, tasty salsa and chips, as well as their amazing queso dip, which tops my list of favorites.
They offer a variety of drinks, including Joya sodas, which are a pleasant treat.
The restaurant is small but very cozy, and it's always bustling with people picking up takeout orders.
One time, I tried their Mariscada dish, and it was enough to feed three of us with leftovers to take home.
Acapulco Barra Vieja
Acapulco Barra Vieja never disappoints when it comes to satisfying my seafood cravings.
The first time I stumbled upon this hidden gem, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the seafood and the friendly service.
One thing I appreciate about this place is how they are open to accommodating dietary restrictions.
I'm always on a strict diet, and they have no problem modifying a dish to suit my needs.
The grilled fillet is always fresh, and the portions are incredibly generous for the price you pay.
The Tex-Mex twist on their seafood dishes gives them a unique and delightful flavor.
I love their ceviche, which is a must-try, by the way!
Acapulco Barra Vieja has a small, unassuming building, but don't let that fool you.
The seafood platters are just as good, if not better, than those at bigger, fancier restaurants.
Jason's Deli
I have to admit, I'm a bit of a regular at Jason's Deli here in Edinburg.
It's my go-to spot for a quick and healthy lunch, and I've always been happy with their offerings.
The salad bar is well-stocked, and while it might seem a bit pricey at first glance, I've come to accept that the cost is just a reflection of the inflation we're witnessing all around.
What sets Jason's Deli apart for me, though, are their sandwiches.
They have a great variety of specialty sandwiches, and I've never been disappointed by any of them.
My personal favorite is the veggie wrap with all the extra veggies – always fresh and incredibly scrumptious.
Susie's Tacos
Every time I crave delicious tacos, I head to my favorite spot, Susie's Tacos.
I've been going there for years, and it never disappoints.
The tacos are generously portioned, with big tortillas and plenty of filling.
The plates are also large, ensuring that I never leave hungry.
One thing that I appreciate about Susie's Tacos is that they welcome truckers, making it a convenient stop for a hearty meal during a long drive.
They serve both breakfast and lunch, with hours that cater to early risers like myself.
They are open Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2 pm, and on Saturdays from 6 am to 1 pm.
What keeps me coming back to Susie's Tacos, aside from the scrumptious food, is the friendly service and reasonable prices.
Armando's Pizza
Last Friday, my family and I decided to have a night out and try a new pizza place in town.
After searching for a while, we stumbled upon Armando's Pizza and decided to give it a go.
From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean and quiet the place was.
We ordered a New York-style pizza, which was a hit!
The dough was perfectly baked, and it was neither too thick nor too thin.
What really stood out to us was the sauce and the freshness of the cheese, which made all the difference in terms of taste.
The pizza came out hot and fresh, and it was reasonably priced too.
Aside from pizza, we noticed that they also offer a variety of other dishes, like stuffed pasta and calzones.
We were too full to try them that night, but we'll definitely be coming back to sample more of their menu.
One thing that caught our attention was the beautiful artwork on the walls, which added a nice touch to the overall ambiance.
Pieology Pizzeria Edinburg
I remember the first time I went to Pieology Pizzeria Edinburg, I was really excited to try their oven-fired pies and choose from a diverse range of sauces, cheeses, and toppings.

The Pizzeria
I stumbled upon The Pizzeria a few months ago, and since then, it has become a favorite spot of mine for a casual dinner with family and friends.

The other night, I ordered their pizza, salad, and meat lasagna, and I was blown away by how delicious everything was.
I'm not the only one who thinks so, as my partner and sons can't get enough of their Hawaiian pizza and meat lovers.

Their white sauce pizza has become a comforting favorite of mine, and I'm grateful for this little gem in our community.
Mi Chula Restaurant
Mi Chula Restaurant has become a regular spot for my friends and me, especially during the weekends.
The atmosphere can get a bit chaotic at times, especially when we have to wait for a table as a group of six.
One thing to note is that they only serve breakfast on weekends, but the food comes quickly and it's always delicious.
My nephews rave about their tacos, so I decided to give it a try.
It's a small place with a few tables and booths, and it can get quite full.
I ordered the huevo rancheros and a potato 'n egg taco.
You might need to be patient, as it took me around 40 minutes to get my order.
However, they also have a drive-thru window, which helps speed things up.
My total was $7, including coffee.
If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend it.
On the other hand, if you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant experience, Mi Chula is the place to go.
It's not very fancy and the parking space is limited, but the food is amazing, super tasty, and cheap!
I had breakfast for less than $5, and it was delicious.

I recently visited El Rincón de las Cazuelas after hearing that it was under new management.
To my delight, the food and service were absolutely amazing.
I decided to try their all-you-can-eat breakfast, and although the menudo was a bit bland, I found that adding salt to taste was all it needed.
I'm not usually one for all-you-can-eat options, but I must admit that I indulged in a generous helping of pork.
The service at El Rincón de las Cazuelas was top-notch, and the freshly made tortillas and chicken were divine.
Kokito Chinese Food and Sushi
The other day, I decided to take my kids to Kokito Chinese Food and Sushi after school.
We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was!
The lo mein was delicious, and we enjoyed trying out different sushi and nigiri options.
Of all the dishes we tried, the sunomono stood out as the best we've ever had.
The sushi was incredibly fresh, and we appreciated how affordable the prices were compared to other sushi places.
One of my favorite aspects of Kokito is that it's a family-run business.
Some of the dishes we highly recommend include the Kokito roll, Sensei roll, Crab Kunomono salad, crab puffs, and egg rolls.
El Taco Place
I've been a regular customer at El Taco Place for years.
However, my recent visits have left me feeling disappointed and questioning whether I should return.
The menu doesn't have anything that stands out as unique, and it's pretty similar to many other Mexican restaurants in the valley.
The food is great and the service is superb that would make you want to come back for more.
El Patio Cafe
One of my favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in town is El Patio Cafe.
This restaurant has been around for quite a while, and despite the pot hole riddled parking lot, it's definitely worth a visit.
Prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering how much the price of food has gone up in recent years.
My partner and I often enjoy their burger basket, which ranges from $4.75 to $6.75 depending on the toppings you choose.
The food is always delicious, and the service is great.
I've also tried their huevos rancheros, which were good, although I personally prefer my eggs well done.
It's worth noting that they do offer corn tortillas if you ask for them, although I received flour tortillas once.
The atmosphere at El Patio Cafe is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind after a long day.
Their tea is decent, and the prices are lower than most Mexican restaurants in the area.
107 Cafe
Just this past weekend, I decided to head to 107 Cafe for breakfast with my family.
Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of seating space available.
I opted to order the Tejano Style breakfast special, which comes with two eggs, your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage, French toast, and homestyle potatoes—all for only $7.99!
I must say, every bite was delicious and very satisfying.
My partner decided to try their beef enchiladas, and couldn't stop raving about it.
We've heard great things about their Mexican cuisine from friends, so I'm excited to try that on our next visit.
Their diverse menu provides plenty of options to choose from, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch.
Old Cattle Baron
One of my favorite childhood memories was going to Old Cattle Baron on Saturday mornings.
It was always bustling with people, as a live cattle auction took place in the back of the building every Saturday.
The atmosphere was lively and exciting, and it was a great way to start the weekend.
The food at Old Cattle Baron was always delicious and the portions were generous.
The home-cooked meals were comforting and reminded me of family gatherings.

The service is also impeccable, and I've always been treated with great care whenever I visit.
Breakfast at Zamoras' is another delightful experience.
It's no surprise that I keep coming back for more.
Palenque Grill Edinburg
One of my go-to spots for a special night out has to be Palenque Grill Edinburg.
The ambiance of this unassuming restaurant and bar is simply stunning, making it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends.
The menu offers a wide variety of gourmet Mexican-inspired seafood, steaks, and cocktails that never fail to impress.
The freshness and flavors of the dishes are truly exceptional, and the presentation is always appealing to the eye.
On my last visit, I decided to indulge in one of their seafood entrées, and let me tell you – it tasted even better than it looked!
While I've heard some mixed experiences from others regarding specific dishes like the fajitas, my personal adventures in their menu have left me nothing but satisfied.
