Taqueria El Limoncito

Hang on to your taste buds, because they're about to embark on a wild ride of awesome Mexican cuisine at Taqueria El Limoncito.

I remember the first time I stepped foot in this charming taqueria; it was a pleasant surprise that completely elevated my dinner plans.

The carnitas burrito was a flavorful revelation, while my partner savored the diverse range of street tacos they offer.

Over time, I came to realize that this isn't just a restaurant; it's a haven for those seeking authentic Mexican tastes.

After moving back to the area, it had been quite a task finding a restaurant that served authentic Mexican food that truly packed a punch.

Then my parents, who had stopped by the taqueria after a hospital visit, came home raving about the incredible food they'd had.

They found themselves returning there three days in a row!

When I finally gave it a try, I knew I'd found my go-to Mexican restaurant.

The food at Taqueria El Limoncito is simply amazing - every bite is a joy.

On one visit, I ordered a trio of asada, carnitas, and tripas tacos.

Each was bursting with flavor.

I also tried the carne asada fries, crispy to perfection, and an array of salsas that were each uniquely delicious.

A few days later, I was back, this time indulging in an asada torta and asada sopes with tacos on the side.

The consistency in taste and quality left me in awe.

But it's not just food that makes this place special; it's the ambiance too.

There's a comforting feeling that envelops you as soon as you walk in.

El Mushasho Alegre Restaurant

If there's one thing that can turn an ordinary day into a memorable one, it's food.

Particularly, indulging in the tantalizing dishes at El Mushasho Alegre Restaurant.

On a somewhat spontaneous visit, I decided to try their tacos asada and shrimp.

Although the shrimp wasn't the best I've had, the asada definitely stood out.

It was just the right kind of good, nothing over the top.

The pastor, on the other hand, was a revelation.

Tender and cooked to perfection!

The accompanying sauces, with their slight kick, added an enjoyable heat to the dish.

The menu is a treasure trove of delightful dishes.

They have a wide selection that is both tasty and well priced, especially considering the current economic climate.

But what really sets El Mushasho Alegre apart is their langostinos.

You'd be hard-pressed to find better tasting ones in the area.

On a return visit, I decided to try their fried fish and ceviche.

The fish was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Their fish ceviche was minced just the way I prefer it, served with a fresh avocado, making for a delectable dish.

Can't forget about their chips - a perfect balance of crisp and chew, they're super delicious.

The friendly service and clean ambiance make dining here an even more pleasurable experience.

Le Rendez-Vous Cafe

I'm no stranger to their heavenly food and warm hospitality.

Nestled between Mount Vernon and the Colton area, right across the Stater Bros,  Le Rendez-vous Café has been our go-to for years.

The moment I step inside, I feel right at home.

This quality of service never wavers, whether I'm in for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion.

Speaking of meals, their food is a blissful affair.

I've tried almost everything on the menu, but the chicken crepes hold a special place in my heart.

It's like they've bottled up the essence of love and poured it into this dish.

Just recalling its taste makes my mouth water.

The champagne chicken crepes, another culinary masterpiece, are a close second on my list of favorites.

The chef, whose skilled hands create these magical treats, is a genius.

Every dish he prepares is a harmonious melody of flavors, where everything pairs together perfectly.

It's not just about the taste, though.

The prices are reasonable, so it doesn't feel like a splurge even when I dine out frequently.

Viva Vegan

There is no better feeling than finding a restaurant that aligns with your dietary preferences and still manages to explode with mouthwatering flavor.

Welcome to Viva Vegan, the go-to place for all vegan lovers and people looking to enjoy a healthy yet tasty meal in our city.

Their menu is nothing short of a gastronomic delight.

Imagine digging into a plate of taquitos de papa or sipping on a refreshing cucumber agua fresca - all vegan, all delicious.

The pozole rojo is a must-try, despite its occasional greasiness.

The tostadas that come with it are a perfect crunchy accompaniment.

If you’re a fries person, don't miss out on the birria fries with consomé – a combination that brings together the best of both worlds.

What’s even better is Viva Vegan’s ambiance.

Despite being a small place with only about five tables, it’s always bustling with energy.

The recent addition of picnic tables outside under the shade turned out to be a fantastic idea – you can now enjoy your vegan delights in the fresh air.

Their service is commendable too, making your dining experience even more pleasurable.

And don't worry about burning a hole in your pocket; the prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get.

My friends and I decided to try Viva Vegan for the first time; it lived up to every bit of the hype surrounding it.

The 'carne asada' Cali burrito and the quesabirria taco were out of this world.

The birria in particular, was a revelation.

You'd find yourself exclaiming 'wow' after every bite – it's that good!

P & G Burgers

Remember the days when burgers were charbroiled to perfection, and a drive-thru meal felt like a fine dining experience?

Well, those days are alive and well at P & G Burgers, a longstanding gem in our city.

As soon as you step in, you are immediately transported back to the retro times with their vintage set-up, reminiscent of a 50s diner.

It's not just a place to eat, but also a cool spot for some nostalgic pictures.

One thing that strikes you right away is the huge menu.

It's like a culinary maze with the most tempting of turnings.

I have been frequenting this place for a while now, and I find myself spoilt for choice every single time.

Their double cheeseburger combos are a must-try.

With the option to choose between onion rings or zucchini, it's a feast in itself.

Their children's menu is a delight too.

The kid's chicken nugget and burgers are lip-smacking and ample in portion, leading to a doggy bag more often than not.

But, what I personally enjoy the most, is their shredded lettuce and the taste of the grilled patty.

It's a flavor that lingers long after the meal.

One of my frequent visits was thanks to a coworker who mentioned their steak fries.

I must confess, they were right.

The steak fries at P & G Burgers are heavenly!

And if that's not all, their pastrami cheeseburger and chili cheese fries are dishes I wouldn't mind driving down the Valley for.

Despite being a local, every visit feels like a delightful discovery.

Churrito Loco

If you're craving something sweet and indulgent, it's hard to beat the delectable delights that Churrito Loco has to offer.

Nestled unassumingly next to a gas station, this place is a hidden gem that's been satiating my sweet tooth with its perfectly crisp and delicately fluffy churros for years.

Yes, you heard it right.

Churro - the Spanish doughnut.

Sweet, deep-fried dough coated in sugar, often served with a side of chocolate dip.

But here at Churrito Loco, they've taken the humble churro to a whole new level.

The Mexican Funnel Cake, a particular favorite of mine, is an indulgent serving of churros topped with fresh strawberry and banana, drizzled with hot fudge, and crowned with a scoop of ice cream.

Go big.

Get the pistachio.

Trust me on this one, it's a taste sensation that will knock your socks off.

While the price tag may seem a little steep at first, once you've had your first bite, you'll understand why.

The explosion of flavors more than justifies the cost.

And if you're unsure about the ice cream, they even let you sample before you commit.

As a passionate churro lover, I can tell you that the perfect churro is a matter of personal preference.

And if you're like me, preferring a slightly denser, more substantial bite, you're in for a treat.

Filled churros are another specialty at Churrito Loco.

Imagine biting into a warm, sugary churro and finding a burst of Nutella, condensed milk, cheesecake or dulce de leche inside.

It's like discovering a little piece of heaven.

El Rey del Pollo

Let me tell you about this gem I stumbled upon during my culinary adventures in city - El Rey del Pollo.

You'd think with such an audacious name they'd better deliver, and believe me, they do!

This wasn't my first rodeo with El Rey's fare.

I got their pastor chicken burrito with all the trimmings, and let me tell you, it was an explosion of flavors.

It was so good that I didn't mind the drive at all.

I remember this one time when I went for tamales.

I had heard rave reviews about it and needed to check it out for myself.

While I was there, they offered me samples of other dishes.

Every bite was a revelation!

The tamales - soft with intricate flavors, the fire-roasted chicken - juicy and rich, the consomé and menudo - simply out of this world!

I brought my partner, who ordered the carnitas plate.

The rice was decent, the beans were really good, but the carnitas - oh boy, they were exceptional.

We left with our bellies full and hearts happy.

I just wish we lived closer to this place.

Fish N Go Seafood

If I had to choose a place to satisfy my seafood cravings, without a doubt, Fish N Go Seafood would be my first choice.

Their array of mariscos is nothing short of amazing.

To bring it from the sea to your plate, they've managed to keep the freshness intact, making each bite a delightful experience.

One of my personal favorites at Fish N Go Seafood is their shrimp.

The word "delicious" doesn't do it justice.

Each piece is cooked to perfection, exploding with flavor in your mouth and leaving you craving for more.

My Spanish-speaking friends would tell you, the camarones are "riquísimos".

But apart from the food, there's one thing that always stands out - their cleanliness.

Even during the busiest of times, the store is spotless.

It's just one of the many reasons I love this place.

El Rey "Express" Mexican Grill

Every time I crave for authentic Mexican delicacies, my heart and taste buds guide me to one and only place - El Rey "Express" Mexican Grill.

The moment I step into this cozy nook tucked away on 1600 W Valley Blvd, the vibrant artwork adorning the walls ignites my senses and sets the tone for a delightful culinary experience.

Now, let me let you in on my favorite picks from their straightforward yet tantalizing menu.

The Birria Taco's!

Their taste flashes me back to my LA trips, evoking vivid memories of the bustling Mexican markets.

Seeing a bowl of Ramen Birria on their menu had my eyes popped - a fusion I'm eagerly looking forward to trying on my next visit.

However, the superstars of my daily breakfast ritual at El Rey "Express" are the Shrimp burrito, asada fries, and the Asada California burrito.

Each bite of these delish dishes is a fiesta of flavors that dances on my tongue!

And to wash it all down, I always order their Café de la Olla - a beverage that perfectly rounds off the meal.

But what truly stands out for me, apart from their mouth-watering food, is their phenomenal customer service.

The El Rey team always welcomes me with warm smiles, making every visit feel like coming home.

Pizza-Q

When you're craving a culinary expedition that transcends beyond the usual, Pizza-Q is the place to be.

This counter-serve joint captivates your senses and teases your palate with the sublime fusion of American-style pizzas and BBQ sandwiches, all served in a casual setting that feels just like home.

Tucked in the heart of my city, I've found myself drawn to Pizza-Q time and again.

One bite into their brisket, pulled pork or pulled chicken and you're in for a gastronomic delight.

I have to confess, their barbecue sauce is so good, it's almost addictive, especially the spicy variant.

It's not just the meat that's the star here though, the sides like the beans and zesty coleslaw are equally commendable.

But don't be fooled into thinking that's all Pizza-Q has to offer.

Their pizza selection is vast and varied, and the best part?

You can create your own magic.

I remember the first time I decided to make my own pizza, a little apprehensive, a little excited, I let my weird taste take the reins.

To my surprise, it came out just perfect, right from the crust to the toppings.

While I can’t deny my partiality towards their barbecue offerings, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention their Margherita Pizza.

Although it wasn't quite the traditional version I was expecting, with pesto instead of just tomato sauce, it presented an intriguing twist.

Pho Long

Oh, the thrill of unearthing a new favorite spot in the city!

I'm talking about Pho Long, a Vietnamese restaurant that's won my heart and taste buds.

Nestled in the Loma Linda area, this gem provides an unforgettable culinary experience.

They're friendly, fast, and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a splendid dining experience, even amidst a flood of customers on a stormy, hailing day!

Their menu boasts an array of mouth-watering dishes that will leave you spoilt for choice.

On one such rainy day, I found solace in their shrimp spring rolls and #6 pho.

The flavors danced on my palate, creating a symphony of taste that I can't wait to experience again.

Not to mention, their sugarcane skewered grilled meats are simply out of this world!

But let me tell you about my absolute favorite: the BBQ pork buns.

I've been here three times in the last month, and I can't seem to get enough of them.

They're succulent, flavorful, and downright addictive.

Paired with their refreshing jasmine iced tea, it's a meal that satisfies and delights.

El Taquito

You know you've found a gem when a place like El Taquito has managed to keep customers coming back for over 40 years.

As a regular here, I can vouch for the authenticity of their Mexican food.

This isn't your run-of-the-mill taco stand, oh no, this is the real deal.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place, saying that her mother used to work as a cashier here back in the day.

I've been hooked ever since.

The food here is more than just a meal; it's a piece of history, passed down through generations and standing the test of time.

Reasonably priced and rich in flavor, El Taquito has quickly become my go-to spot whenever I'm in need of a solid Mexican food fix.

My partner and I have our favorites: the combo meals with the enchiladas, beans/rice, tacos, and chili relleno.

We usually add an extra order of chicken taquitos too.

The chicken can be a bit dry sometimes, but the way they pack the flavors into their orders more than makes up for it.

Trust me, when you open that package, the aroma is so tantalizing, you won't mind your food getting a bit mixed up.

The beans and rice are especially delightful, and their horchata is simply amazing; a perfect complement to the meal.

It's no wonder that we're considering moving closer just for this gastronomic delight.

If you've got $10 in your pocket and an appetite for something authentic, El Taquito is definitely the place to go.

Manuelita's Mexican Food

One of those hidden gems you stumble upon, and then can't stop going back, that's Manuelita's Mexican Food for me.

I've been there a couple of times, and the experience just keeps getting better.

The beef enchiladas I had recently were just a burst of flavor, so delicious you'd want to savor every bite.

Their rice and beans?

Absolutely delightful.

And don’t even get me started on the beer, perfectly chilled and refreshing.

The place itself is small and quaint, exuding a warm, homely vibe that makes you feel instantly at ease.

Their warm hospitality, paired with the delicious aroma of traditional Filipino cuisine, creates an atmosphere that can only be described as 'good vibes'.

Flor's Diner

Waking up to the smell of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee is one of the little pleasures that living in Inland Empire offers me.

One of my favorite spots to indulge in this decadent morning ritual is none other than Flor's Diner.

This lovely little diner, owned by the same family that operates the well-loved Baseline Burger and Highland Cafe is a culinary gem hidden in the heart of our community.

The aroma of the food hits you the minute you walk through the doors.

My go-to order is the chorizo breakfast, a delightful combination of spicy sausage served atop a bed of homemade potatoes.

I must admit, I was a bit disappointed when I discovered there were no beans included in the dish.

But, the flavorful potatoes and savory chorizo more than made up for it.

On occasion, I bring my son along too.

His eyes light up when he sees the cheese omelet with biscuits & gravy on the menu.

As for their drinks, well, let's just say they do justice to your morning caffeine fix.

And the cherry on top?

They open up early at 6am, perfect for early risers like myself.

Whether it's a weekday rush or weekend indulgence, Flor's Diner is our go-to place for a heartening breakfast.

LA TAPATIA Taqueria y Mariscos

There are days when you just need a comforting bowl of menudo, and there's no place in the city quite like LA TAPATIA Taqueria y Mariscos that can satisfy this craving.

With a menu that boasts of a delightful assortment of Mexican dishes, it's no wonder that this place has become my go-to for my regular fix of authentic Mexican cuisine.

Did you know that LA TAPATIA Taqueria y Mariscos serves menudo every day?

Yes, you heard it right - every single day!

I found out recently and, although I didn't try it that day, I know where I'll be heading the next time the craving strikes.

After all, nothing warms the soul quite like a hearty bowl of menudo.

Their warm smiles and friendliness add a comforting touch to the whole dining experience.

And talking about the food, the shrimp ceviche is something I enjoyed, although it was a tad sweeter than I prefer.

But the real stars of my meal were the bean and cheese burrito and asada nachos.

The burrito was creamy, satisfying, and so huge that my daughter couldn't finish it.

The nachos, meanwhile, were cheesy, delicious, and the chips were so fresh and crunchy that they're still echoing in my memory.

The burritos are massive, the prices are excellent, and the atmosphere is always buzzing with happy diners.

La Sexy Michelada

You know that moment of pure bliss when you discover a new favorite spot in your neighborhood?

That's exactly what happened when I discovered La Sexy Michelada on a cool Thursday evening.

It started with an unassuming entry, the dimly lit sign flickering under the night sky.

I walked into a buzzing atmosphere filled with laughter and conversation.

They set the tone of the night with their cheerful dispositions and excellent service.

The food and drinks were heavenly.

My beer was ice-cold, just the way I like it, and as for the food - it was to die for.

The grilled chicken plate was a particular highlight, seasoned and cooked to perfection.

If you think your taste buds are ready for a culinary adventure, La Sexy Michelada is the place to be.

The restaurant had a unique vibe, deviating from the typical Mexican restaurant I was accustomed to.

I noticed the absence of enchiladas on the menu, a staple in most Mexican joints.

But the distinct menu added a nice touch, giving the place an original appeal.

While the high top tables and booths might not be the best setup for younger guests, they provided a comfortable dining experience for adults.

One aspect that did catch my attention was the Micheladas - they seemed smaller in comparison to other places.

The first time I walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting ambiance of the dining room, and the aroma of their teriyaki chicken wafting from the kitchen hit me with a wave of nostalgic comfort.

What sets Sayaka apart is not only their delicious food but their creativity, especially when it comes to their sushi rolls.

Their menu is a food lover's playground, offering unconventional yet mouthwatering combinations.

But, what really makes a regular out of you is their half-price sushi offer.

Trust me when I say, their sushi is the best bargain you'll find in the city.

Their plum wine is another must-try; it's sweet, subtle, and the perfect companion to their sushi.

The service is nothing short of decent.

A special mention to their Miso soup and California Roll, they're just fantastic!

I stumbled upon Sayaka during a quick Google search one day and have been returning ever since.

Whether you're dining in or ordering to go, their presentation is always neat and the food, simply incredible.
