While this list showcases some remarkable restaurants, it's important to note there are many other exceptional dining establishments in Cheektowaga that are not featured here. Our aim is not just to guide you to popular eateries but to encourage you to venture out and experience the city's diverse culinary landscape for yourself.
Taqueria Los Mayas
One of my favorite places to eat in our area is Taqueria Los Mayas.
Whenever I have a craving for authentic Mexican cuisine, this is my go-to spot.
The atmosphere is casual and modest, but the food is incredible.
Trust me, if you're looking for an authentic Hispanic meal, this is the place to be!
To top it off, the restaurant is always clean and well-maintained.
Their drink selection includes cold and reasonably priced margaritas and beer, which perfectly complement any dish on the menu.
Speaking of the menu, it is huge!
There's something for everyone, including kids.
The service is fast, friendly, and efficient, and the portions are generous – perfect for sharing or taking home leftovers.
My personal favorites are the carnitas and the mojado, both of which are absolutely delicious.
I've been a regular at Zahz Pizza for quite some time now, and I can confidently say that their pizzas always hit the spot.
What sets them apart is their delicious, sweeter sauce, which I find truly delectable.
The quality of their pizzas is consistently top-notch, and their subs and wings are fantastic as well.
One thing I love about Zahz Pizza is the convenience of both takeout and their cozy dine-in area.
There's ample parking available, which makes visiting the restaurant a breeze.
The prices are fair, and I always feel like I'm getting great value for my money.
Recently, I tried their BBQ wings, and I was pleasantly surprised by the tangy flavor.
Chester's Cajun Grill
I truly love spending my weekends at Chester's Cajun Grill, and I can't get enough of their delicious food.
The menu has so many choices that it's often difficult for me to decide what I want to eat.
One of my favorite meals to enjoy at Chester's is the Chicken andouille sausage gumbo, seafood jambalaya, and red beans and rice.
My partner's favorite dish is the pulled pork Mac n Cheese, and we both agree that everything always comes out piping hot and fresh.
The corn choux is one of my favorite side dishes, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
Water Lily Cafe
One day, I decided to try out Water Lily Cafe, as I heard it was a hidden gem off the beaten path.
The place is indeed tucked away in a strip mall and not very glamorous from the outside.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by the cute and cozy ambiance inside.
I tried out their pad Thai and green curry, both of which were absolutely delicious!
The intimacy of the space added to the charm of the place.
J J's Texas Hots
One of my favorite spots to grab a quick and delicious breakfast has to be J J's Texas Hots.
This unassuming little restaurant serves some of the best Texas hots in town!
I often visit J J's for breakfast or lunch, and I'm always greeted with friendly service and great prices.
The place is family-owned and operated, which lends it a genuine and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the standout dishes for me is their Vegetarian Omelet.
Despite not being a big fan of veggies, I found the omelet to be very good, especially considering the affordable price.
My order usually comes with toast and hash browns, and I can get a satisfying meal for around $25, including a tip.
Rock Burger Cheektowaga
I can genuinely say that Rock Burger Cheektowaga is one of my go-to places whenever I crave a solid, scrumptious burger.
The first time I walked in, I was immediately drawn to their Midwestern cafe vibe, which is cozy and inviting.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, making it difficult for me to choose just one burger.
However, I always find myself coming back to the mushroom burger paired with their Cajun fries.
The seasoning is just perfect without being too spicy.
My partner, on the other hand, swears by their Mac n cheese burger with tater tots.
Both are incredibly delicious and satisfying.
Anderson's Frozen Custard
Just the other day, I decided to treat myself to one of my all-time favorite places – Anderson's Frozen Custard.
As usual, the atmosphere was lively, and I couldn't wait to dig into their delicious food.
Anderson's is a staple in our community, and it's easy to see why.
I stood in line to order my go-to meal, the Roast Beef on Weck.
As I bit into the sandwich, the familiar flavors brought me back to the many times I've enjoyed Anderson's throughout the years.
The roast beef was tender and juicy, and the Weck was the perfect balance of soft and crusty.
After finishing my meal, I couldn't resist getting a frozen custard for dessert.
Anderson's is known for their creamy and delectable custard, and I was not disappointed.
I opted for the classic vanilla, and it truly hit the spot.
I'm so glad to have Golden Dragon in my neighborhood!
I've been going to this down-to-earth restaurant for years, and they've been consistently delivering delicious Chinese takeout staples for over 25 years.
I just can't get enough of their food!
Whenever I have a craving for Chinese food, I don't even think about going anywhere else.
I remember when they were open during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering both dine-in and takeout options, and I was so grateful for their service.
One of my favorite dishes here has to be their General Tso chicken – hands down, the best I've ever had!
The chicken is crispy and saucy, and it's just amazing.
The Wonton soup could use a little more flavor, but it's still enjoyable.
If you want to check them out, here's their Google Maps link.
One of my favorite spots to grab a bite is Airport Pizza.
Their wings are absolutely fantastic, especially the blue wings.
Trust me, you don't want to miss out on those!
The pizza is always top-notch as well, and I can't forget to mention the excellent customer service.
One thing I enjoy about their pizza is the thinness and the size.
It may be smaller than other large pizzas in the Buffalo area, but the flavors are just perfect.
The cheese to sauce ratio and the dough tastes incredible.
I would give it a solid 4 out of 5.
I recently decided to have a night out with some friends at Pubski Pub, and I must say, it was an amazing experience!
The local food at this place is seriously some of the best I’ve had in a long time.
The atmosphere was super comfortable, making it easy for us to enjoy our time there.
The place was perfect for sports lovers like my friends, as there were tons of televisions, making sure we didn't miss a moment of the Sabres game.
The food was absolutely delicious.
I couldn't resist trying a few different dishes, from their Stuffed Banana Peppers to those same peppers on an 8 oz Burger, and of course, their irresistible 60-cent wings!
The flavors were on point, and you really can't beat the price.
There's nothing like finding a restaurant that feels like home, and that's exactly what I found in Lunetta's Restaurant.
I've been going to this place for years, and it never disappoints.
One thing I truly appreciate about Lunetta's is the consistency in both their food and service.
Their Fresh Turkey Club Sub is a personal favorite of mine, but I do recommend double-checking the prices as they may not always be accurate on their website.
One thing that sets Lunetta's apart from other local restaurants is its rich family history.
The place has been around for generations, using the same treasured recipes from their grandma.
This authenticity definitely shows in the taste of their dishes.
I've been to Bozzy's Pizzeria a few times for a quick lunch.
The place is small, so don't expect to dine in, but their pizza slices are decently sized, and it does the job for a quick bite.
The service is always warm, which is a plus in my book.
The food is good and filling.
I once ordered a chicken finger sub and enjoyed it.
I also have to mention that Bozzy's Pizzeria recently opened a new location in Lancaster, which quickly became my favorite pizzeria in that area.
Mister Dee's Apna Dera
Just last week, I decided to try out Mister Dee's Apna Dera after hearing some rave reviews from friends.
I must say, it was a great decision!
The daal, in particular, reminded me of the delicious home-cooked meals I enjoyed growing up.
The atmosphere of the place was clean and beautifully decorated, making for a very enjoyable dining experience.
I'm looking forward to going back again soon and trying more dishes, and I truly hope that other people in the neighborhood give this place a fair chance to impress them just as much as it did for me.

I absolutely love Wiechec's Lounge!
The food here is just amazing, and I can't help but keep coming back for more.

On Fridays, the place gets really packed, with people lining up for their famous fish fry, but it's totally worth the wait.
Apart from the fish fry, I highly recommend their mozzarella sticks – they're to die for!
Their sandwiches are also a hit, especially the Brooklyn Bomber, which has a bit of a kick to it.
And if you have room for dessert, their homemade banana cream pie is simply divine.
All in all, Wiechec's Lounge is a gem in our community, and I'm proud to call myself a regular here.

One of my favorite spots for a night out in town is Bobby J's Italian American Grille.
This laid-back, unfussy restaurant serves up some of the best Italian and American fare in the area, with options like pizza, burgers, and pasta dishes.
I recently attended their Dinner Theater event, and it was an all-around great experience.
The evening started with a delicious meal, followed by Act 1 of the performance.
During intermission, we got to enjoy mouthwatering desserts before diving back into Act 2.
I highly recommend taking advantage of this local gem for a fun and unique evening out.
Last New Year's Eve, I had dinner at Bobby J's, and it was definitely a night to remember.
The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, and the lobster Diavaillo was one of the best I've ever had.
Not to mention, their stuffed peppers were absolutely delicious.
La Bella Sicilia (Buffalo)
I have visited La Bella Sicilia several times and have always been impressed with their generous portions of Southern Italian food and their NY-style pizza.
The interior might be simply furnished, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
The last time I dined there with a group of friends, we had an outstanding experience.
Though we had to wait a bit to get a table, it was worth it.
We ordered various dishes to share, including their lunch special, eggplant parmigiana, and spaghetti with meat sauce.
I must say, the food was far better than a chain like Olive Garden and unmistakably authentic Italian.
I couldn't help but indulge in one of their homemade cannolis to close my meal - light, tasty, and a perfect ending to a fantastic dinner.
Sto Lat Bar (Buffalo)
I've been a fan of Sto Lat Bar ever since I first visited the place.
As a fan of live music, I was initially drawn in by the sounds of a local band performing on a Saturday night.
But once I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home.
The service was impeccable.
My partner, who joined me for dinner, raved about the pork chop.
I enjoyed my meal as well, although I do wish they had more vegetable-forward dishes on their menu.
During subsequent visits, their brunch menu and the pierogi dipper apps have never disappointed, and the sizeable, well-balanced drinks always hit the spot.
Aloha Krab Cajun Seafood & Bar (Buffalo)
I can say that Aloha Krab Cajun Seafood & Bar is one of my favorite spots to enjoy a delicious seafood meal.
I remember the first time I visited; I decided to try the King Crab legs served in a boiled bag with potatoes and corn.
I was delighted to learn that you can choose your own seasoning and spice level, and I opted for the Aloha blend with a mild spice.
The result was absolutely amazing!
On another occasion, my friends and I ordered coconut shrimp as a starter, and we were more than pleased.
The shrimp were hot, crispy, and coated with a sweet sauce that elevated the taste even more.
Whenever I have friends or family in town, I always take them to Aloha Krab for a satisfying seafood experience.
Another thing that keeps me coming back to this restaurant is the reasonable prices and generous portions.
I once tried the mini Aloha combo and was pleasantly surprised by how much seafood was included.
The flavor was fantastic, and I couldn't wait to return and try more dishes.
Park Vue Soul Food Bar and Restaurant (Buffalo)
I finally had the chance to try the highly recommended Park Vue Soul Food Bar and Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of amazing.
Upon arriving, I noticed that parking was a bit of a challenge, but that didn't deter me.
I called ahead to place an order of chicken breast with baked mac and cheese and candied yams, which not only made my mouth water in anticipation but also ensured that my meal was freshly prepared.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes, but it was well worth it.
The food was incredibly fresh and delicious!
We also tried their passion fruit slushie drink, and it was a huge hit.
Later, I went back for a date night with my partner, and we were both blown away by the atmosphere, music, and mouth-watering dishes.
I had the fried chicken plate, while he opted for the catfish plate.
The greens were so good that they might even surpass my mom's recipe!
