The menu is pretty decent with a variety of dishes to choose from.
I've tried their Alfredo pasta, spinach wrap, and of course, their pizza on different occasions.
While the food is generally good, and the best part about Ric's is the full bar that has a variety of tap beers - perfect for a sports night with friends.

The first time I walked in there, I was greeted by Neveen who was extremely kind and helpful.

Last Father's Day, my family and I decided to try out a local eatery we hadn't been to before - Adolfo Grill & Daily Bar.
As soon as we entered, we were immediately charmed by the inviting atmosphere.
A gentleman strumming away on an acoustic guitar added a serene touch to the restaurant's dark wood decor, large mirrored walls and crown molding accents.
It was bustling with activity, but despite this, we were seated promptly.
The menu, packed with a variety of tantalizing options, left us spoilt for choice.
Eventually, I settled for the Adolfo Club Sandwich accompanied by a salad, while my partner and son opted for the Bourbon burger.
My eldest son, on the other hand, chose the Pot Roast sandwich with mashed potatoes, and my daughter-in-law decided to try the Butternut Squash Ravioli.
However, the real star of our meal was the Monte Cristo sandwich.
We ordered it to share amongst us and believe me when I say, it is a must-try!
The portion sizes were generous and the presentation of the food was delightful.
Hector's Taqueria
Just last week I found myself at Hector's Taqueria in the heart of Camarillo.
This small and cozy Mexican food joint is the perfect place for a quick lunch with its easy-to-read menu and fair prices.
I ordered a trio of tacos – shrimp, chicken, and steak.
To my surprise, the shrimp turned out to be the star of the show.
It was well seasoned, perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious.
The steak was also good, but the chicken, unfortunately, was a tad dry.
Despite its compact size, Hector's Taqueria leaves no stone unturned when it comes to delivering fresh and hot food.
The tortillas were nicely grilled and complimented the rich flavors of the sauces.
Cagami Ramen
Over the years, I've seen various incarnations of the Cagami Ramen restaurant, and each time, I've harbored hope for the best.

They make me feel like I'm part of their family, which is always a lovely touch.
I've tried a number of things on their menu and I've yet to be disappointed.
The Scorpion breakfast bowl is something else, and the chicken breakfast biscuit is out of this world.
If you're watching your carbs, there's a keto bowl that's just as satisfying.
And for the really indulgent days, there's the breakfast burger - a new addition to their menu.
I must confess, it's probably one of the most decadent things I've savored, but it's well worth it.
The fries are a hit too, some of the best you'll ever taste.
The place itself is super comfortable with lots of outdoor seating, perfect for those sunny mornings.
And if you have kids or pets, no worries.
Braxton's Kitchen is both kid and dog-friendly, and they've even got meals for your furry friends.
Love Pho N' Mor
Ever since I moved to the neighborhood a few years ago, I’ve made it my mission to discover new and exciting places to eat.
One of the standout spots I've discovered is Love Pho N' Mor, a local Vietnamese noodle soup specialist that offers an array of delicious dishes in a brightly lit, modern setting.
What first drew me to Love Pho N' Mor was their prompt service.

Their Mexican fare is some of the best in the city.
I'm particularly fond of their wet burritos.
They're flavorful and incredibly satisfying.
The portion size is also quite impressive, enough to last for two meals, I'd say.
And the complimentary chips they serve with every order?
Crunchy and delicious!
On my last visit, I tried their taquitos and crispy tacos for the first time.
The salsa paired with them was just heavenly.
I can confidently say that this spot serves the best crispy tacos in Ventura County.
SLATE Steak, Sushi and Cocktails
I decided to visit SLATE Steak, Sushi and Cocktails last weekend as I'd heard a lot of buzz about it.

Everything tasted so fresh, and I was particularly taken by the cake and the red velvet creme brulee.
My favorites also include beet salad and the filets.
Country Harvest Restaurant Camarillo
I've been dining at Country Harvest Restaurant Camarillo for quite some time now.

When you step into the restaurant, you'll notice how clean and beautifully spaced out it is.
There's always a comfort in knowing that the establishment you're dining at pays serious attention to cleanliness.
The restaurant offers all-day breakfast fare, sandwiches, burgers, salads and much more.
The biscuits there are a sheer delight—light, fluffy and a treat to your taste buds.
The sourdough toast stands out too, soft and fluffy as a cloud, unlike the ones that end up scraping the roof of your mouth.
The menu boasts of several other options that are worth trying.
Don't forget to ask about their specials when you're there.
They have some great ones that can make your dining experience even more enjoyable.

I'm always on the lookout for exciting new places to eat and Twenty 88 Gourmet Fusion has quickly become one of my favorites.
What's not to love about this place?
Now, let's talk about the food.
The dishes here are an absolute treat for the taste buds.
The filet bites and filet quesadilla are simply divine.
Every bite was packed with flavor and left me wanting more.
Even the burger was fantastic, something I wouldn't usually order at a fusion restaurant.
The Stuffed Chicken is another must-try.
I can honestly say that it's some of the best food I've ever had.
The location is nothing short of beautiful.
It's always a pleasure to take the drive down to Camarillo and enjoy the sophisticated ambiance.
The outdoor seating is especially enjoyable on a pleasant evening.
The music can be slightly loud but it definitely adds to the vibrant atmosphere.
The bar at Twenty 88 is another one of its highlights.
They serve creative cocktails that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate.
Plus, they offer a happy hour which is a great opportunity to sample their amazing appetizers.
Tamarind Thai Cuisine
I've always been a fan of Thai food, and the best place to get my fix is always at Tamarind Thai Cuisine.
The place is a charming blend of traditional and modern Thai aesthetics with vibrant plants and exceptional Thai art adorning the interiors.
The meals here are consistently delicious.
The ribeye Panang, for instance, didn't quite hit the mark the last time I tried it, but the Tom Kha soup with chicken is always a winner.
The burst of flavors in every spoonful warms my tummy, especially on those cold Camarillo afternoons.
The yellow chicken curry is another favorite, brimming with spices that awaken your palate.
The homemade coconut ice cream is a must-try, a perfect ending note to any meal.
For those who prefer to stay in, Tamarind Thai Cuisine is also available on Uber Eats, perfect for lazy evenings when you just want to indulge in some authentic Thai food at home.
Ottavio's Italian Restaurant
Just the other day, I decided to unwind and have a meal at Ottavio's Italian Restaurant, one of my favorite spots for grabbing Italian classics in the neighborhood.
The restaurant is often frequented by couples and large groups, and is known for its casual, mural-clad ambience.
I went there with my significant other for a quiet Sunday evening dinner.
We were craving some good old pasta.
The highlight of the evening was the Chicken Tortellini Pasta and the chocolate cake that I relished.
I also liked their plain roll, while my partner preferred the seasoned one.
They also offered a variety of other dishes like Todo del Mare and a decadent Lemon dessert, though we had to pass on those.
They were also out of the Flat bread appetizer that night.
One of the great things about Ottavio's is their patio, which is shielded from wind and highway noise by a wall.
They keep it cozy with heaters, making it an excellent spot for larger gatherings.
I recall how they perfectly arranged for a friend's wedding rehearsal dinner on the patio.
They were able to cater to everyone's dietary needs, including gluten-free pasta for some guests.
Remembering the event, the food was quite delicious.
They served pasta, pizza, salad, and rolls.
It was a satisfying meal that everyone enjoyed.
Burger Barn
I've been visiting Burger Barn for years and it never disappoints.
The food is consistently excellent.
For me, the Blue Cheese Burger is the star of the show.
Every bite into that juicy, well-cooked beef patty is an absolute delight.
And if you are wondering about the ambiance, it's just as wonderful with an open and friendly atmosphere.
The seating may be a little sticky at times, but I see that as part of the charm of a local joint.
The Pastrami Sandwich is another favorite of mine.
Its crispy texture perfectly complements the tender, juicy meat.
I'm usually not a fan of fries and onion rings, but Burger Barn has made me reconsider.
They are simply delicious!
Sushi Planet Camarillo
Just last week, after spending the day running errands around the city, I found myself craving some quality sushi.
It didn't take me long to decide where to go.
Sushi Planet Camarillo, a sushi place within walking distance from my house, seemed like the perfect choice.
Upon entering, it's clear that the restaurant could use some slight upgrades, specifically in the bathroom.
Despite this, the dining area was clean and well-maintained.
I was greeted with prompt service and a friendly smile, which made me feel right at home.
I decided to order an appetizer and a few different sushi rolls.
The sushi was delicious and skillfully prepared.
The rolls were a bit pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for, and the quality of the sushi justified the cost.
Accompanied by a good drink, the whole experience was truly enjoyable.
Final Thoughts
I must say the gastronomic experience in Camarillo is incredibly diverse and flavorsome.
From the Mediterranean flavors at Greek Cuisine to the Asian kick at Cagami Ramen or Tamarind Thai Cuisine, the culinary scene here never ceases to amaze me.
Each visit to these restaurants has always left a lasting impression on my palate.
